Don't ignore excessive bleeding. Consult a doctor to investigate the issue and determine the cause. It's not a normal occurrence.

I'm really sorry to hear that. It makes me sad. Have you considered seeing a doctor for help with your heavy flow? It's important to check your iron levels too, as low iron can make you feel tired and low on energy. Take good care of yourself and thank you for watching and commenting.💗🌸

I have endometriosis. Was diagnosed at 20 because my period led me to having a stroke. It was so heavy and wasn’t stopping. I’m 29 now have been in an out of the hospital for the last 9 years because of my period. I fear my period every month. And the doctors just keep prescribing me birth control. At this point I want surgery. I shouldn’t have to live in constant fear of my body.

We're truly sorry to hear that you've been dealing with endometriosis for such a long time. It must be so challenging, especially considering your young age. We can only imagine the anxiety you must feel about the excessive bleeding every month. If you decide to undergo surgery, we send our best wishes and hope that it brings you relief and improved health.

Have they recommended any diet changes? I have heard some women saying a strict no cares diet helps them. Along with regular excercise...I think that has to do with blood flow. And definitely surgery in some extreme cases.

@@herstasishealth Take cinnamon tea 1teaspoon of cinnamon in 1 cup of water. I have uterine fibroids and this helped me a lot to have a normal flow in the first 2 days. You can still do the keto diet (it helps a lot with endometriosis). And last but not least, poultices with castor oil (listen to Barbara O'Neil's advice). But be careful, castor oil is used when you are not at home
menstruation - you take a break from castor oil during the 6 days when you bleed. the oil can gradually get rid of endometriosis - with consistency and patience. Take care!

At around 13 I got my period at school (wasn’t my first time) it soaked out of my heavy flow night pad and didn’t stop bleeding. It was like a faucet. Unfortunately my mom didn’t answer and I had to stand in the corner of the nurses office. She gave me 2 regular pads and just watched me bleed. They didn’t offer me clothes. (Which they had for dress coded students) people mostly kids some which I knew would come in and just stare 😢 my socks got stained. from top of pants to ankles At 16 I menstruated for 9 months straight at some point at the time I had to change pads every 30mins- an hour pushing it. I struggled so much in school😢 I’d fall asleep in class and due to that my anemia was so low I eventually received 2 blood transfusions. I am now 24 and currently am on week 5 menstruating idk what to do anymore doctors aren’t helping me. I went a couple months ago after menstruating for a month and only went into debt 2,000 cause I don’t qualify for Medicare 😢 they just cleaned out the clots of my uterus with a giant swab and did a ultrasound and said I had nothing I mostly sat in a room which was about $250 for 16 hours nothing was done there only the “cleaning “ procedure for about 15 minutes other than waiting.

I can see how your experience at 13 would leave you traumatized. It's an awful, embarrassing thing to have to go through at such a young age. 😢I'm really sorry to hear that you're not receiving the necessary medical care. There must be a caring doctor out there who can assist you in overcoming this debilitating bleeding.❤

Don't delay, seeing a doctor should be your top priority. Consider asking about an IUD, which has been a life-changing solution for many women. Heavy bleeding over a long period of time can lead to side effects like anemia, leaving you feeling depleted and drained. Make an appointment today and so you can start feeling better soon!

Find a doctor who specializes in hormonal treatments, such as a gynecologist or endocrinologist, if your current doctor isn't meeting your needs. Most GPs are not trained in perimenopause or menopause symptoms and may not feel comfortable prescribing hormone treatments. Your health and happiness are worth looking for alternative care.
