Wow it turned out so beautifully! I love the two tones that you ended up with. Reminds me of some antique pieces. I love it!

A stone inlay would also look good in the middle, for instance limestone or maybe travertine.

I have so much respect for woman who do these kinds of projects on their own. I grew up around woodworking and have experience with it as well but for some reason am still hesitant to do that kind of stuff on my own for fear of messing up or not measuring right or something lol. Way to be an inspiration for those of us who need the extra confidence to take on projects we are passionate about! The finished product is beautiful and unique and full of character and I love that about it! Great job!

Love that you stripped it. I love a painted piece but this looks so nice with its natural finish.

Wow, what a find. I appreciate it was a lot of work but we’ll worth it. I managed to find a rocking chair from the 50’s. It is the exact same chair I remember as a child. I got it for £50 off eBay. It does need some tlc but I’m really looking forward to it. I hope you and your family are well? Lots of love to you as always from across the big pond. xxx

It's beautiful, Megan! Maybe later, you might want to replace the plywood insert with a more expensive piece of wood. I think it could definitely be your forever coffee table. It is so unique. I love the lines. Blessings!❤

That’s what I was thinking myself. I’ve been unsure about it since the rest of the living room isn’t done yet, but if I get to the end and still love it, I’ll replace it with a nicer piece of wood. Some red oak would be perfect. Thank you for the suggestion!

Ah, I've missed these videos Megan, and from someone who has used paint stripper on furniture and often sat in a corner and felt like crying at the resulting mess I have to say well done, you've done a great job!

I just used it for the first time and I will never do this myself again, lol! I bought what I thought was an eco-friendly one but it smelled so toxic and then all the varnish that melted got stuck and wouldn't come off the scraper. I was high from the fumes and just never again!

Beautiful result! I admit I was very hesitant with the 2 shade wood, but it surprisingly made it so fresh and young looking. It sort of gives the same vibe as when I see people wearing suits and trainers. Question! Can we get rid of the paint just by sanding it to its original state? I hope this isn't a silly question 😅 I'm very new here!! please don't judge 🙈

thank you for saving wood furniture from paint. in a couple years people will be wondering why they painted everything

Nice job! The original table looks like it's made of pine, so maybe down the road you could replace the plywood with a solid pine board (not that expensive). The only "problem" I have with the finished work is that the grain or the plywood does not go in the same direction of the grain of the table, meaning the longer sides, but I understand you wanted to use material you already had.

Yes that bothers me too! Makes it unique, but doesn’t flow like it should. I figure if I want to replace it with better wood down the road I can. Who knows, maybe another project will give me a good scrap of pine to use!
