what amazes me is that when people in Japan or Korea cook normal food they make it seem like you need a PhD to have that job. They do it so intricately and precisely and with such grace that it seems like a very prestigious job when equivalently that same job in the United States is seen as low status. They really take pride in their work and it shows.
People need to stop seeing jobs as low status... no matter which job you have, you'll always be working for someone else and not yourself

Japan is so uniform and organized, everything is made perfectly per serving. Very clean execution, always reserved/quiet people in resturaunt environment. This is a fast food kitchen and his chef jacket is spotless.
