Ah this breaks my heart. Still to this day parents are offered the option of adoption, or if they are tested prenatally, to abort children with downs syndrome. From health professionals - people you often blindly trust to know what the right decision is! It's appalling when people with downs sydnrome are able to lead such fulfilling and whole lives! It is a SYNDROME not a death sentence. There are so many supports available for even more critical and life threatening conditions and this is how we treat people who grow up to go to school, work, fall in love and have children of their own!

Same with my brother. He was born in 1962 & my parents were told he wouldn't live past 7. HA! He's gone 50 years past that and still, by the grace of God, is still going strong. Back then, they knew nothing or very little of what causes Downs. All I know is he was a blessing and still is.

Beautiful family. JoJo is such a sweet heart. Brothers girlfriend is amazing with JoJo. Truly understands him. I think she will be an amazing mother in the future 🙂
My neighbors have a son with Down Syndrome and the first thing they told me when I met them was what a blessing and gift Daniel is. After meeting him I agree. He loves to hug and is such a sweetheart who always smiles.
When my daughter was born I was advised to put her into care, forget about her and get on with my life. She is 39 now, lives independently, has had three books published and is happily growing her own vegetables and raising birds. Irrelevant of any problems she faces, her life is full and she is happy and isn’t that what every parent want’s for their child. These parents have raised JoJo to be the best JoJo that he can be and he has thrived. Well done to those parents and their family.
My god. To have the audacity to walk into a family’s home and offer them “alternatives.” I have a child with special needs. Doctors and specialists are unsure what is causing her multiple disabilities. My daughter is only 3. Our society has become more inclusive, understanding, and loving towards special needs children and adults. I genuinely believe it is because of parents like you, that chose to love and care for their child just as any other child. You are pioneers. From the bottom of my heart, Thank You!
Try to find a special needs counselor trained in 360 care. I had two, one yr apart, different needs, and started counseling early. Both excelled, one is in the military.

What a beautiful family! And JoJo didn't cry when meeting the Harlem Wizards, although you could tell he was totally stoked..What absolutely touched his heart was the basketball court in his own backyard..See people?, some of the most simplest things in life can bring SO MUCH joy..I pray this show never ends, or if it does another one picks up right where it leaves off.. because there will always be a need..both for those needing the help and for those who get the joy of providing the help.❤️❤️❤️❤️
What you have wrote is beautiful especially"What a beautiful family" my first thought and "See people?, some of the most simplest things in life can bring SO MUCH joy.."❤️ It was exact my second thought as I saw JoJo reaction:)
I would have left all the bushes/trees at the beginning but I do appreciate the concern and compassion for the birds. I like the end results and reactions. It shows how important what you are doing for others really is.
My wonderful brother in-law has down syndrome. He is 60 yrs old and has 100's of medal's from special Olympics in swimming. He is still competitive today. He is the absolute best of us. Everyone in our town knows and loves Greg Brunt.
This is beautiful and moving. So happy for him. George and his team did extremely well. The girlfriend of the other brother is soo caring and takes her time to get to know him❤️❤️ So happy he feels more comfortable
Whoever born with speciality is giving people opportunity make good. Because those people were like angels from god. We don't need to be sad. We must be happy about them. They are stronger than us. Their love is pure. If they get angry, it will disapear in a second.

I believe all those beautiful souls like JoJo are closer to God than anyone else on the planet. All they know is love. Just like all those furbuds of ours. A gift given to us as His example and how much He loves us. To give up your only Son. True Unconditional Love! Beautiful family. George you rock! Best renew show airing.
JO JO never seen this programme before as I live in the UK, but you have just proved to me that with the right LOVE and CARING anyone can achieve their dreams . JO JO you not only made me laugh and smile I also had tears in my eye's. Go Buddy
Back then it was always thrown out as an option when they didnt know through prenatal testing. It angers me that they go to that first instead of just understanding the emotions. I hear ya, and I agree.
I think it is a good question. Just look at how much power that gave the parents for a lifetime. Knowing that they were given a chance to make life more easy for themselves but they chose love. I do not have down's syndrome but , i was adopted. Something to be said , when a family says " no we will keep him"
Not all cases of Down Syndrome are happy like JoJo's - every case will vary. Unfortunately, there are some people with severe intellectual and development complications, and not every family will have the resources to be able to give their child the best life possible.
Back in the 60's, when my brother was born, they didn't even call it Downs Syndrome. They called them mongoloids. The staff offered to arrange putting him in a "facility." I can see my mom telling that staff where to put their arrangements. I was 12 at the time but I took over every aspect of raising Alan. I was his big sister & I was & still am so proud of him. I'm thankful my own children understood that Alan was a priority in my life. They didn't want to do things without him. The circus, carnivals, movies, trick or treating, fireworks:you name it & he went with us. He is my ❤.
What I really like is that families who need help with their living space are supported...but what about people who even do not have a space to live in ???
They stopped transforming the lawn for two weeks for the little birdies to mature enough and fly....respect!

My brother was the best human being I've ever met in this world, not a mean bone in his body either. These special people have so much love and respect for others, I wish the whole world was as kind and loving as they are! In Heaven, I believe these people will reign supreme in some wonderful way!!!
That was so uplifting. Happiness is not about $. It's so nice to see a really tight and loving family.

God is good, Bless the people at "George to the rescue" Peace.
I cried watching the lovely mom reaction whn she open the door👏

Whoever born with speciality is giving people opportunity make good. Because those people were like angels from god. We don't need to be sad. We must be happy about them. They are stronger than us. Their love is pure. If they get angry, it will disapear in a second.
These kids are special gifts from god. They are so loving and pure. What a wonderful video. xxx
Wow, from saving the baby birds to the absolute love of the family and the wonderful girlfriend who shares the family values and morals....just lovely. Everyone involved including the contractors looked so healthy-good community.

I've had several friends with downs syndrome. They are nothing less than a blessing!
Jo Jo is a gift from God. He seems to love unconditionally. He is lucky to have all you guys as a family, but you guys are the luckiest family in the world to have him as your son/brother. You have done a wonderful job raising two wonderful loving sons. Him and his brothers relationship is so special. You should be very proud of both them. I cried at his reaction to his new back yard, it was the most special surprise for him. He is the sunshine in the world.
Your jojo was so cute as a lil boy you were blessed he's a cute young man now he's lucky to have a loving family.bless you all .

Jojo is so adorable! What a great story. George, you're an angel. Thank you for doing good in this world.
JO JO never seen this programme before as I live in the UK, but you have just proved to me that with the right LOVE and CARING anyone can achieve their dreams . JO JO you not only made me laugh and smile I also had tears in my eye's. Go Buddy
I am SO angry at what was said about putting the child up for adoption..
Back then it was always thrown out as an option when they didnt know through prenatal testing. It angers me that they go to that first instead of just understanding the emotions. I hear ya, and I agree.
yep ...the shit you women say to each other never fails to surprize me
I think it is a good question.
He is my ❤.
Seriously, what a BEAUTIFUL family! May god bless you all!
I REALLY LOVED THIS BEAUTIFUL STORY. GOD BLESS THEM ALL...
-THESE CHILDREN ALL SEEM TO BE ANGELS IT IS SO AMAZING WE ARE THE ONES WHO ARE NOT RIGHT GOD BLESS YOU ALL

Thank you Jesus for this gift we in the world didn't know we needed til Jo-Jo got here!
What I really like is that families who need help with their living space are supported...but what about people who even do not have a space to live in ???
