Gabor, please could you make a podcast or video that a teenager would understand. I see such distress in children, self harm, and self harming behaviours. I'm only a nurse but have now studied at great length what is needed to make a happy child. Having found you and my counsellor and changed so much about myself I really want others to have the opportunity to do the same. I have used compassionate enquiry with several adults and seen such positive results. I want to do the same for older children and teenagers. Thanks for all you do.

I've been listening to Dr. Mate' for a while now and his talks have confirmed what I have suspected about the connection between mental health, trauma and physical illness and health. The challenge is to get to the solution to these issues. The medical professionals I have dealt with throughout my entire life have no clue. They do not understand these things and do not seem to care to understand. Where do we go for help when there doesn't seem to be any help available?

During our early years and often before birth...our mind fragments due to stress and trauma...this creates a split in personalities...each with their own set of coping and defense mechanisms...therefore in order to become whole..we must heal each individual personality.

I have a diagnosed thyroid problem but I've also been struggling with something missing for a very long time now. I did therapy, healthy eating in the form of various restrictive diets, I have an understanding of what happened to me but I still harbor resentment against my many abusers, and everytime I think I'm getting better, I realise I'm not. So with the cancer example Mate gave, I actually feel inspired to stop forcing all this healthy living on myself and just eat dessert every day, because I might be dead either way soon.

She was very ashamed of me and my weight. She told me that I came along too late in life that she was tired and didn't want to play with me,a simple board game. I get irritated and pissed off playing games and I have just realized why. 😢I was left alone after school from the 2nd grade up. I couldn't spend time with kids my own age and enjoyed older people and I didn't know how to react with kids my age. Thank you very much for your help and support for people. Thank you for being so open and vulnerable here. Recognizing and working on our own negativity takes a lot of self-awareness, and you've already taken a significant step in the right direction by recognizing it. Remember that growth as a person is a journey, and it's completely normal to have a 'half-empty cup' moment now and then. What matters is that you are making an effort to improve.
Practicing gratitude on a regular basis could be helpful. Try to focus on the positive parts of your life, no matter how small they might seem. It has an opportunity to slowly change your perspective and fill your cup a little more each day. Also, don't be too hard on yourself. We all have bad days, but it doesn't define who you are. A person can be quite together, but it's hard to be on a planet with so many people that anesthetize themselves with anti depressants. These people numb their feelings, and that's why so many people don't get along - lack of compassion and empathy. Your little friend, Prince Harry is incapable of compassion and kindness because he self medicates with an array of things, numbing all emotions for anyone but himself. Teaching people to be obsessed with the past leaves no room for the present, and certainly isn't helping people like Harry move forward to have a happy life. He's too busy wanting sympathy acting as though he's the only person on the planet that lost a parent.

    • @yourinnerchildmatters

I understand your concerns regarding the use of antidepressants and their impact on empathy and compassion. It is a complex topic with many points of view. While I respect your point of view, it's important to remember that everyone's journey and struggles are different. Prince Harry, like everyone else, has struggled, and it's important to handle these issues with empathy and compassion.
