    Just purchased this machine and the Lenovo Slim Pro 7 90hz. I think I like the Lenovo better, no fan noise, faster, louder, smoother display(not as bright though), charges 3x faster. The zenbook is definitely a beautiful machine though!

    They have a convertible version of this laptop (S 13 Flip OLED). Between the weight, the display, audio quality, camera quality, ports, and not being a fingerprint magnet, it's the best all around laptop hands down. They just need to refresh it with the 13th-gen Intel or Ryzen 7000 processors

  • @user-nd4ip1xv5m

    Asus (and many other laptop makers) still cannot put 1 USB-C port on each side, which means you cannot charge on both sides of the laptop. This is one important thing that the XPS 13 (Plus) do very well.

    I'm trying not to brag as much as state I've finally accomplished a tech goal everyone kinda wants, although accidentally. How many times have you watched a Tech Reviewer on TH-cam tell you how beautiful the OLED screen is... but your PC lacks the same tech? Or a tech reviewer is saying the laptop speakers are weak... but you're listening thru a laptop with... wait for it... weak speakers? sigh
    Well last year I splurged on living room OLED 4K TV. And it's connected to decent speakers. And so when Andrew showed this 2.8K OLED laptop screen -- I actually saw EXACTLY what it looks like. lol

  • @VideogamesAsArt
    @VideogamesAsArt ปีที่แล้ว +4

    While it's a good machine and I would love to have it, I can't help but feel it's a step back compared to last year's model. That one has a Ryzen 7 6800U which has I think 30%+ performance (it's at the level of the 9:05 HP Dragonfly since the Ryzen 7 7736U is the same chip, just renamed), and comes at the same price. Yes, it might be a bit bigger and heavier, but it's in my opinion not enough of a difference to make up for the loss of performance. On top of that, the Ryzen chip has much better integrated graphics too!

    • @trubadyr99
      @trubadyr99 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Ryzen? No Thunderbolt 4 support. Meaning, the max transfer rate even with its latest generation USB implemented in Ryzen based laptops is twice slower than the thunderbolt 4, which has native support in intel-based machines.

    • @VideogamesAsArt
      @VideogamesAsArt 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@trubadyr99 thunderbolt is indeed a big selling point for intel but many people (including myself) don't need the high speeds. But for someone with a thunderbolt dock this is indeed the better machine I suppose, even with the cpu+gpu performance loss

    13:10 So many fingerprints on the keyboard of the Macbook, on the Asus (dark gray keys, not black) you can't see anything. Is it because of the color and is Asus using something for the keyboard keys that other manufacturers don't have?

    Nice PC for the type of users it is aimed at. Camera and mics are good. Nice keyboard. In your description of the ports on the right side you said that you liked it has a full size sd card reader. In the next sentence you said it has no sd card slot. It cannot.be both. Please clarify, if it is not an sd card slot then what us it? Overall a nicely designed machine that is excellent for air travel. Excellent review.

    The Asus Zenbook S13 OLED (2023) is definitely not a powerhouse in terms of graphics performance but it is very thin and light which is perfect for traveling purposes. It has a clear 1080p webcam as well as clear internal mics and a gorgeous OLED display with over 400 nits of brightness. The audio quality of the built in speakers is not bad until you put it right next to the MacBook Pro and then there is no comparison. All and all, a very thin laptop very suitable for people on the go and worth your consideration! Superb review Andrew!! 👏😁
