This subsection does not apply to drivers operating a vehicle that is overtaking another vehicle proceeding in the same direction or is preparing for a left turn at an intersection,
I believe the lane they both get into is not a passing but the HOV lane which doesn't have the same "impeding" law that that the far left lane to the right does
came here to say exactly this. #4 thinks the guy coming up fast is the problem. Dude, you saw the person coming up fast and pulled in front of them. In Europe if they hit the #4 cam car it would be the cam car’s fault. Here too many people think they can control the speed. Also; what rain? road, looked dry and i didn’t see any wipers running. 1:30
#5 it is not against the law for properly marked funeral procession lead vehicles to have the “right of way at intersections regardless of traffic control devices” as stated by Florida law 316.1974
I would agree with u except wheres the dead body? Funeral processions must be escorting a body to be considered a funeral procession. I did not see one in the vid so possible cammer is correct. Also funeral processions cannot enter a red light unless escorted by an actual officer. They enter at a green light n if it turns red the other cars still must yield until the entire funeral process has finished crossing.
I understand that if a funeral progression starts through a light they continue until they are all through regardless of the changing of the lights, however, are you saying the start of the progression can just run through red lights? I don’t think that’s right. Even ambulances and police cars stop at red lights before progressing through them.
#2 regardless of whether you agree with the way the cyclist rides, you had an obligation to yield to traffic in the bike lane while making that turn, and you didn't. Fortunately the cyclist anticipated your failure to yield and was able to take evasive action.
Also the bicyclist wasn't "jumping on and off lanes" they took the round about how fast bikes should. The markings on the road show they share the road in the round about and then the bike lane restarts. The recorder just doesn't like bikes and doesn't know how to properly look before turning.
@@snidelywhiplash6889 The bike is in a bike lane. Traffic turning across the bike lane is required to yield to traffic already in the bike lane before turning, just like traffic turning left across oncoming lanes has to yield to oncoming traffic. For real. Video is picturing the red car as the bad guy but it’s the opposite. That is the passing lane, if people understood that everyone would be safer

#4. You are 100% in the wrong. If you're not turning or taking a ramp to the left, get the hell out of the passing lane. Even that cargo van blasted by you.
I bet they genuinely don't know this because most people don't seem to understand this. Which is unfortunate because it's basic knowledge, right up there with red means stop and green means go.
#15, “I had my blinker on” tells it all. Some people think when they signal everyone needs to get out of their way whether or not you have room to change lanes or turn.
As soon as I watched #15 I knew I would find it in the comments and yeah “I had my blinker on so get the f**k out of my way. What a dick. There just aren’t that many good sensible drivers anymore.
A blinker shows "intent", not an immediate "right" to get in that lane. This isn't just a Florida problem, by the way. Oh, and by the way, Cammer", you did cut her off! You had about a car length, if that, in front of her. That kind of makes you the "Karen".
@silverchupacabra73 That and I've noticed that a lot of dash cams distorts the view to get more of the area in. So, it looks like a farther distance on the cam but IRL it's actually closer. Just like side mirrors, objects are closer than they appear. I hate when people turn their signal on and whip over at the same exact time.
@@sgtrubik4901 was there at least 2 seconds between his vehicle and hers during and after the merge ? if not (there isnt), then legally he cut her off. doubt me ? do that to a cop and see what happens.
In #2 I didn't see the cyclist do anything wrong. They stayed in the bike lane as much as they could up until it ended and went into a round-a-bout. They then went immediately back into the bike lane and you failed to check your mirrors or yield.
They moved over to impede the red car. They saw it coming up and wanted to slow it down “becuz storm”. But I’m curious what storm as wipers weren’t on and everything looks dry.
#3 still makes me lol! She’s road raging, crashes and gets out of her car and is jumping up and down as to throw a tantrum. Truck she raging with drives by!
Regarding #5, funeral procession has right of way in almost every state. Like you're suppose to yield right of way to them and they can cross lights and everything.
That cammer just made himself look the fool. Funeral processions have the right away. I wouldn’t care if they had the right away or not, common courtesy would dictate, to allow the procession through.
I don't know if it's legal, but it was always common courtesy to let a funeral procession travel freely, for obvious reasons. But people nowadays are way too selfish to think of anyone else. When I see one go past my house, and I've seen several, I always show respect by standing until they've past.
the cammer adding quotes around the words funeral escort was baffling to me, cuz even if the person was not any kind of police they were still escorting a funeral procession. like, what if it was in the deceased person's will or final request to have a funeral escort? cammer saying they shouldn't be a thing anymore CLEARLY is too selfish to think about other people in general 😒
Typical Florida driviing here ...and it gets worse , and each year worse than the last . Ironic in this video is the number of people who are " in the right " that display one of the most aggravating things about Florida driving these days ...total disregard for anyone trying to merge , change lanes or anything else that , in their mind , holds them up . In urban areas the driving gets quite fancy ....people do anything they want to do , or that occurs to them , regardless of who's on the road , and red light running is the rule rather than the exception .
Seriously, half of these videos I watch and ask why the driver that was recording felt the need to engage or escalate. Is it so they can post their video online and feel like a victim? This kind of shit driving is exactly why Florida has some of the highest auto insurance rates in the country.
@@FuxkurSZN speeding up to close a gap so somebody can't merge or change lanes in front of you, is not "defensive" driving at all. It's aggressive driving which leads to accidents, and it's why Florida has such high rates.
#5 wouldn’t hurt you or anyone else to just freaking stop for a minute… it’s the very LAST time the person who’s dead will bother anyone . Have some freaking respect!
Maybe stay out of the left lane altogether if you're not passing. This cammer had ZERO reason to get in the left lane, but decided that's where they need to be regardless of everyone else. People like this cause so much backed up traffic and they don't even realize it (and would care if they did).
I wish the Florida Highway Patrol would enforce the law more often regarding driving slow in the left passing lane. It's like shooting fish in a barrel, they're everywhere. Eventually people would stop doing it, right? 😂
As soon as I saw the beginning, I was like, cammer is 100% at fault here. Just a maniac who thinks having a cam justifies his aggressive and terrible driving.
Wait are you retards actually defending the person who merged without a signal as someone is passing them? AND they got out and maced the person they hit? You do understand that, as a merger, you’re responsible for performing a correct lane change. If a merger hits someone it’s almost always 100% the mergers fault.
Yeah, her response was a rarity on any of the dashcam channels. Especially when she thanked the cammer for posting since her insurance has now denied his claim.
As a Floridian, I can attest to the crappy drivers. Most in my town are transplants, but a lot of Florida born drivers are just as bad. Can't wait to escape this place someday. Lol Edit to add I was nearly t-boned today at speed limit (50) when turning into a shop complex to pick something up. Truck loaded with tires in the bed got into the other turn lane facing me as I was turning into the shop complex. He kept going straight at speed limit. He was inches from my Mom's car's rear bumper. If I hadn't hit the gas, I'd probably be in the hospital. He then proceeded to follow me for a bit, angrily. So I headed to the police station and he left me alone. I wish I had a dashcam.
@@InexplicableBill stated as within regard to any country that has a 'paved' roadway designed for vehicular use (so basically implying they are the worst drivers on the planet, that is any country cars are primarily driven within). Sorry for the confusion.
100% agree on this one. You don't need to drive faster than the speed limit (even if it isn't raining), but do not change into passing-lanes unless you have someone to pass. Buddy might have been speeding, but there's a special place in hell for "left-lane bandits", where they get drawn and quartered.
@@alexanderlayne7189 Speeding in the left lane is literally intended and encouraged by every fucking cop in America. You will never EVER get pulled over doing 5 above the limit in the passing lane, and 99.99% of the time won't get pulled over for doing 10 above the limit. Hell, I've never seen a cop pull over for 80 in a 65, but I personally stop at 10 above the limit. They WANT you using the left lane reasonably aggressively to encourage a better traffic flow. When you read "Slower traffic keep right" signs they aren't expecting that slower traffic to be below the speed limit - they expect it to be exactly at the speed limit, hence they know the people in the passing lane will be well above it. Anyone that camps the left lane because they think its enough to drive the speed limit is an ignorant POS.
Right? What was the point in going to the fast lane when you knew you were going alow and clearly could have just gotten over 1 lane. However, I also wouldn't have done what the red car did either at the end.
0:47 #2 100% on the driver don’t see how you can say otherwise. A bike lane is like any other lane, check to make sure the lane isn’t occupied before turning. Biker “jumping back and forth” is perfectly legal and I would say necessary to avoid using the pedestrian sidewalk when she’s going at car speed.
this is what a lot of transplants from other states do, they think they can impede someone who is driving faster than they by occupying the left lane, unknowing that in FL you are legally allowed to pass on the right (which you can not do in some states)

At no time will he move to the right until his exit is near. If you ask why, he'll just state that he doesn't have to worry about slower drivers nor vehicles trying to merge from the on-ramp.
Number five obviously has never had the misfortune of having to drive in a funeral procession, and obviously doesn’t know that there are usually strict laws surrounding that
This douchebag thinks he knows something...but he doesn't. ) “Funeral lead vehicle” means any authorized law enforcement or non-law enforcement motor vehicle properly equipped pursuant to subsection (2) or a funeral escort vehicle being used to lead and facilitate the movement of a funeral procession. A funeral hearse may serve as a funeral lead vehicle. (d) “Funeral escort” means a person or entity that provides escort services for funeral processions, including law enforcement personnel and agencies. (e) “Funeral escort vehicle” means any motor vehicle that is properly equipped pursuant to subsection (2) and which escorts a funeral procession. (2) EQUIPMENT.- (a) All non-law enforcement funeral escort vehicles and funeral lead vehicles shall be equipped with at least one lighted circulation lamp exhibiting an amber or purple light or lens visible under normal atmospheric conditions for a distance of 500 feet from the front of the vehicle. Flashing amber or purple lights may be used only when such vehicles are used in a funeral procession. (b) Any law enforcement funeral escort vehicle may be equipped with red, blue, or amber flashing lights which meet the criteria established in paragraph (a). (3) FUNERAL PROCESSION RIGHT-OF-WAY; FUNERAL ESCORT VEHICLES; FUNERAL LEAD VEHICLES.- (a) Regardless of any traffic control device or right-of-way provisions prescribed by state or local ordinance, pedestrians and operators of all vehicles, except as stated in paragraph (c), shall yield the right-of-way to any vehicle which is part of a funeral procession being led by a funeral escort vehicle or a funeral lead vehicle. (b) When the funeral lead vehicle lawfully enters an intersection, either by reason of a traffic control device or at the direction of law enforcement personnel, the remaining vehicles in the funeral procession may follow through the intersection regardless of any traffic control devices or right-of-way provisions prescribed by state or local law.
It depends on the state. For example, in my state, funerals have the right of way (you can’t interfere with them), but the lead vehicle still has to abide by state driving laws. He can’t cut off other drivers, swerve lanes, run red lights (I’ve seen them do this before 🙄), etc But other cars in the procession can ‘run’ the red if it was green when the leading vehicle crossed.
One of those laws in Florida is that a funeral escort lead can only enter an intersection lawfully by either law enforcement direction or traffic control devices (ie traffic lights). Then the rest of the procession has right of way regardless of traffic control devices. The cammer was petty and way overreacting. I also don't believe he knew any of the laws about this. So while he was kinda right about the first intersection (not being allowed to do "that"), I don't think he was referring to the law I mentioned. But I do think cammer should've just waited and let them go. Even if they were wrong at first, he did much more wrong the rest of the time. He isn't a cop, yet he tries to enforce the law while repeating to the escort "You aren't a cop!"
As a Floridian myself I can confirm people drive like absolute maniacs down here. Very good to watch these to know what to watch out for. Stay safe out there!

cyclists have a bad catch 22 not allowed on the side walk cause of pedestrians and drivers cant stand them on the roads cause they dont consider a bike a vehicle they consider it sports equipment
The car behind you is mad because you are blocking the passing lane. It doesn't matter if you are doing 40 over the speed limit, you should move into the right lane if it is empty. The quick headlight flash is a message that means, Hey, someone is behind you that wants to pass, and not only is it the law to move right when you're done passing, some states have laws against passing on the right. So please move over if you are not passing and let other drivers go. If they are speeding, somewhere a cop will get them.

#29- I'm surprised how many people aren't aware that in most (if not all) states it is illegal to change lanes while traveling through an intersection.
In florida they use escorts to keep from using active police officers, most are retired or off duty officers, they do have right of way same as if it was a active patrol car, for those who say it's illegal, check the florida laws. Would you still proceed if it was a active patrol car and on duty officer, no you would'nt you would stop or be fined.
I believe - a funeral escort has the right to hold an intersection if it is green when the funeral procession enters the intersection. This allows the entire funeral party to stay together.
#5 cammer is an asshole. Even if he is completely ignorant of the law, common respect shouldn’t be too much to ask. Totally. The guy tried to cut her off by speeding up and around on her left side, when there was a point that everyone has to merge to the left. He did it at the exact same time she started turning into the left lane. Cammer is an idiot and deserved the pepper spray.

(d) “Funeral escort” means a person or entity that provides escort services for funeral processions, including law enforcement personnel and agencies.
(e) “Funeral escort vehicle” means any motor vehicle that is properly equipped pursuant to subsection (2) and which escorts a funeral procession.
(2) EQUIPMENT.-

Flashing amber or purple lights may be used only when such vehicles are used in a funeral procession.
(b) Any law enforcement funeral escort vehicle may be equipped with red, blue, or amber flashing lights which meet the criteria established in paragraph (a).
(3) FUNERAL PROCESSION RIGHT-OF-WAY; FUNERAL ESCORT VEHICLES; FUNERAL LEAD VEHICLES.-
(a) Regardless of any traffic control device or right-of-way provisions prescribed by state or local ordinance, pedestrians and operators of all vehicles, except as stated in paragraph (c), shall yield the right-of-way to any vehicle which is part of a funeral procession being led by a funeral escort vehicle or a funeral lead vehicle.
Using excuses because he's being inconvenienced is stupid.

#26 He just likes the sound of his own horn lol
Yeah, he likes being able to scream real loud.
Prick move with funeral run. No not an officer but its called respect
#4
NAHHH That red Charger had all the reason to be mad at you. You're going 97 km an hour. Which is equal to 61 miles an hour... That specific highway in Florida has a speed limit of 75. You were going nearly 15 miles under the speed limit. In the left remote lane, which is meant for the fast traffic. You were in the Wrong lane going under the speed limit
#5. He may not have the authority to do what he did, but it was done. You had a choice, ignore the fact that he is not supposed to do this and show respect for the family and the dead or be a jerk about it and drive into the funeral procession.
Actually, in some states and municipalities, you can get a ticket for messing up a funeral precession. Even the vehicle itself said it was for funerals.
@@erauprcwaeveryone could’ve done better. Such as using fake sirens/lights and cutting off other drivers.
Well-meaning or not, the next procession that guy's in will be his own if he keeps running reds and jumping out in front of people's cars. He treats cars like they're kids to be corralled. Dude, you almost got run over several times, it's not worth it.
he actually did have the authority to do that. By law he is allowed to do that. The idiot cammer doesn't know the laws of the state he's in
In Montana, it is the law that you yield right of way to funeral processions.
#29, I am sure when you learned to drive and read driving manual, there is something in there about changing lanes in an intersection. That is illegal and always has been.
As a Floridian myself I’m shocked this video isn’t 10 hours long. We have so many bad drivers here it’s ridiculous. I see something everyday to my commute to work.
A Georgia drivers compilation (especially Metro Atlanta, so many dummies who can’t drive here) would be nice as well! Was recently down in Florida and thankfully didn’t get into any of the insanity on display in the vid.
South Carolina and Pennsylvania might also make for good compilations too!
Philly especially, its so fucking bad here
I live in California and know a few people from Atlanta and they think that Atlanta has the worst drivers
I agree with you! I lived in Florida and just moved to Atlanta a year ago. Atlanta I75 drivers are much worse than Florida driver.
A 50-state series! Then vote to see which ones make the Top Ten
All I can say is thank god I don't live in Florida.
I don't wanna live here anymore. Saving up and moving out. I'm just not sure which state i would like to live in.
I live there....
sadly idiots are not exclusive to Florida. we have plenty in UK 🇬🇧too :)
HIP-HIP HOORAH, FLORIDA WENT NUTS WITH DESANTOS. AS THE GOV MANIAC AS THE ABBOTT&. COSTELLO SHOW IN TEXAS. THEY FOLLOW BUNKERBOY. 😂😂😂😂😂
You should check out California
If #26 is just one day, I would move the hell out of Florida...😂😂😂
As a fellow Texan, sadly, our drivers aren't much better.
The funeral escort guy is going to get hurt.
14:50 ah right, the small dicked train horn man. It’s fairly amusing how ineffective it is
#4 needs to get out of the left lane ffs
Man! No reason to even get over in that lane in the first place.
@@DreadlockRasta21 Exactly - it's strictly for overtaking
I’d also like to know where the rain is that he was talking about…….the road and cars are completely dry
28:14 can we discuss the absolute perfect timing of the commercial on the radio?
Hahaha 🤣 Too bad a couple of these didn't have John Lennon and the Plastic Ono Band 'cuz they sure got Instant Karma's gonna get you
"Morgan & Morgan: For the People". Once got to talk to Laurie Morgan and it was like talking to a celebrity. I have been hearing about her family on the radio and TV since I was a kid, lol.
This is top tier studying material for all of us Floridians as "season" approaches. Required film study for all of us.
I wonder how the guy would feel if his grandmother was in the casket
I assume he wouldn't care, narcissits only care about themselves
As A Floridian This Is 100% True
#9 I would have just let her over. It's funny how I don't have all these problems.
Totally. The guy tried to cut her off by speeding up and around on her left side, when there was a point that everyone has to merge to the left. He did it at the exact same time she started turning into the left lane.
Cammer is an idiot and deserved the pepper spray.
Oh look at Mr. Smug over here, with your "courteous driving skills" and "spatial awareness" and "not currently blind due to being pepper sprayed"... this is Florida, they don't need any of that!
It is very sad that people cannot be just a little bit courteous to other drivers, everyone is in a hurry and has to be in front and will not let others merge.
clip 18 is why you don't squeeze the front brake when turning at a slow speed. it will grab the wheel and pull you down, instead use rear brake and slight front brake at slow speeds.
“A red car that doesn’t quite understand why your in the fast lane when you have tones of room to move over “😂😂
#5 The dick cammer may be right that the funeral escort can't legally stop traffic, but if he wasn't a dick, he'd have at least an ounce of respect for the deceased. JFC, it would literally take 30 seconds out of his busy schedule.
In The Netherlands its illegal to cut off a funeral procession, is there a similar law in the US?
@@jojannekevisscher9923
Yes, but the lead car in the procession (depending on state law) also can’t run red lights, have fake lights/sirens, cut off other drivers, etc
The no turn on red one is so florida. Fun fact, if there is no turn on red sign and it’s a red arrow, you can still turn (after making sure it’s safe to of course). Didn’t know that until I saw one on this channel a while ago
I love #19 “nice, great avoidance! What the hell was that?” Lol
Blinkers don't give you the right away
#14. Funny the guy beside and slightly ahead of you had time to slow down and avoid a collision.
8:23 you didn't exactly cut her off but cammer didn't have "plenty of room" either. As casual as he said "i used my blinker" you can tell he is one of those drivers that their blinkers override all their surroundings.
