- Emirates Airbus A340-500 - Mahe, Seychelles. Go-around recorded from Business Class on an early morning arrival. The Captain announced before the decent that there were 30kts cross-winds on the runway, with swirling winds gusting up to 60kts. You don't get much of a sense of the wind from the video but the aircraft was yawing and pitch quite a lot. We landed on the second attempt, but the approach was much worse - almost like a desperation landing as the alternate airport was in Mauritius (apologies, I never recorded the second attempt / landing)
I was waiting and waiting for the go-around... couldn't believe it was a floater! Fantastic video. Good job.
To think this plane had the range to have flown here all the way from the east coast of the USA, if Emirates would have had such privileges of course. Crazy
