Why Is it Hard for a Jew to believe in Jesus Christ?
The Answer is recorded by The Prophet Isaiah in chapter 6
Isaiah 6: 1-10 God Blinds The Children of Israel
1 In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.
2 Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly.
3 And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.
4 And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke.
5 Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts.
6 Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar:
7 And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged.
8 Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.
9 And he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not.
10 Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed.
In the time of Christ Jesus this was being fulfilled...
10 And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables?
11 He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.
12 For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath.
13 Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.
14 And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:
15 For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.
16 But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.
17 For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.
Just as it was back in the Time of Jesus Christ, the Religious Leaders especially could not believe in him, because Scriptures could not be broken...
Even in the Time when The Apostle Paul was sharing the Truth with some Jews... many could not believe, and this is what occurred in Acts 28...
Acts 28:21-29 The Apostle Paul also Quotes from the Prophet Isaiah...
21 And they said unto him, We neither received letters out of Judaea concerning thee, neither any of the brethren that came shewed or spake any harm of thee.
22 But we desire to hear of thee what thou thinkest: for as concerning this sect, we know that every where it is spoken against.
23 And when they had appointed him a day, there came many to him into his lodging; to whom he expounded and testified the kingdom of God, persuading them concerning Jesus, both out of the law of Moses, and out of the prophets, from morning till evening.
24 And some believed the things which were spoken, and some believed not.
25 And when they agreed not among themselves, they departed, after that Paul had spoken one word, Well spake the Holy Ghost by Esaias the prophet unto our fathers,
26 Saying, Go unto this people, and say, Hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and not perceive:
27 For the heart of this people is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.
28 Be it known therefore unto you, that the salvation of God is sent unto the Gentiles, and that they will hear it.
29 And when he had said these words, the Jews departed, and had great reasoning among themselves.
This is Why it is easier for a Gentile to believe in God and The Lord Jesus, than a Jew - but there will be a Day when The Children of Israel as a whole will get their eyes open.
That Day will not come to pass until the 70th Week of Daniel 9:24-27 comes to pass. Until that time, only a Few of Many will Believe in The Lord Jesus Christ.
Same way Protestants don't see the literal body and blood of Christ in the Eucharist. Also, you think jews don't look at you guys and wonder how come you guys don't see that you are clearly making stuff up? You read the bible searching for jesus in it. Thus every possible human like appearance of god on earth has to be jesus... Why? The father cannot manifest and present himself as a human or an angel? The holy Spirit cannot? And this is not even going into the discussion that an angel is a messenger, thus someone addressing an angel as god, does not mean he is literally god, but since he represents god, we talk to him as if he is god. Like moses and the fire bush... Ofc no one worships bushes on fire and thinks they are god. We understand the bush is a medium where god chose to express himself through. Catholics do not have a perfect understanding of the bible where only jews cannot "see" It.... If anything, try listening to the people that know the holy book in it's original language...

Jesus isn't for them? Are you not aware of what Jesus said during his ministry? "I come for the lost sheep of Israel"? His apostles all being Jewish and Paul likewise a Jewish persecutor of Christians. I think it's fair to say Jesus was for them considering he was the Jewish Messiah...

Wisdom 2:12-20 and Isaiah 53... Who else could the OT have been foreshadowing, if not Jesus Christ?
My understanding from an Orthodox rabbi is that Isaiah 53 describes Israel, not Jesus. Curious to hear other Jewish perspectives because Christians tell a different rendition of the Tanakh.
Well of course someone who denies the divinity of Jesus (blasphemy) seeks to downplay the relevance of Jesus and emphasize something that temporally benefits them (Israel)

It is Rome that created and preserved the messages and symbols that we call Christianity, although the ideas were shaped by one particular Alexandrian satirist who used a variety of aliases, one of them "Josephus." Think about how absurd it would be for an actual itenerent Judean preacher to tell peope to give to caesar what is caesar's as people starve from taxation, to carry their cross as they are literally crucified by the droves for rebelling against Roman oppression, and go the extra mile when already forced to by occupying Roman forces. Modern Judaism is NOT AT ALL the same religion as the religion of the ancient Israelites. Scott Hahn's equating of the two is one of his persistent errors that he brought from his Protestant background. It should have been corrected long ago,
Why Is it Hard for a Jew to believe in Jesus Christ?
Matthew 13:10-17 Prophecy being Fulfilled
Why can't god do the same with literally his own messengers....
Or some way Unitarians don't think jesus is God...
