I do think Nick is drawn to God, even before he realized it. He's always had a genuine interest in the wellbeing of others and you can tell a lot about people by the way they treat other people.
Its not hard to be a good human being but we get swayed by demons and people who are possesed by evil or just not right in the head or have demons of their own
I found Sam and Nick when I was in a very bad place in life and kind of abandoning my faith. While a lot of their content is crass their advice pushed me out of my comfort zone and my life at the time really changed for the better. I absolutely believe it was God using them to get to me. I started intentionally making an effort to renew my relationship with God and also praying for them as well. Then this happens. It’s a very comforting thing and I hope it continues.

He, being a holy prophet of God, found himself in the direct presence of the holy, holy, holy God and was terrified by the sheer purity of God as compared to even a justified servant of God. whenever i was down and out, had some REAL stress in my life i prayed. i was a 'foxhole christian'. whenever things were out of control, id pray. once or twice a year, i'd pray for help. things would turn around usually, and i'd go about my life. after having my 2nd child, i decided -- i'm going to pray everyday. when life is good, when life is normal, when life is bad. i pray for health. for spirituality. for success. for a better relationship with Gd. 4th kid comes in january. i pray for the health of the baby, and my family, and our future, and our spirituality daily. feels good man. now whenever things get out of control, i take the kids to church and pray in church.

Im closer to him than I am to you Pastor, than I am to the majority of my church. And find myself acting like my old self more than i care to admit, but theres definitely been a change. Charls has been reading the bible for a while now. I think he's always appreciated orthodoxy and catholicism, he just views Christianity as a mystery religion so he's been hesitant to commit fully to it. At least that's the last I heard from him talking about it explicitly, but that was about a year ago probably.

His show is great. He gives solid advice to guys looking to buy big ticket things like houses and cars. I'm also from a trades/Military background and the language is just how we talk, and I think there's some value in meeting people where they are. We all find ourselves swearing less as we go.
Doug you should see what Nick does on is scuffed realtor podcast, he gives great amazing advice on everything from property to antiques and shares great hard hitting life advice in a way that reaches people that would never be normal for them.
My biggest concern isnt the swearing, the roman catholicism, none of that. Its the "You do you / dont talk about it" religion. No, Boldy proclaim Christ. And that Christ is the only way. New Christians dont want to offend the world. But we have to.

The simplest prescription I could give to him would be to read Matthew. He may be considering these things, but to really take in scripture is something transformative. He's facing a light but his eyes are shut, and the only way to open them is through God's grace, and He spoke to me first, to my heart, through Scripture. It's just so important. The most important part of the bible is the finale. Read Revelation and figure out your stance on it. Studying Revelation will require you to study the rest of the bible. Non-trinitarian, Universal, Full-Preterism is the best advice I can give.

Pray for me, Patrick, because I'm like pendulum swinging wildly back and forth and temptation always comes when I'm at my very weakest. I have trust issues, chronic pain, and push God away when i need the convenience to sin. I'm so twisted that what i think is good is often the bad and vice versa. When life feels like a curse somedays and a gift others i have a hard time reconciling so many things. I want my heart to be on fire for Jesus but it will never happen by my own will. The "coincidence" referred to is most likely the concept of synchronicity introduced by Carl Jung. He has some great material on it. Not at all denying the divinity of these events. Jung's research was exploring how these events are more than just coincidences.

@@10speed4that’s a very stupid statement. Trust in God’s work, everyone has their own path and timing for things to start clicking in their minds. It’s not the scriptures that steer people away in my experience, it’s people who are judgemental in an unloving and ignorant way to nonbelievers and new Christians.
Yes, true christianity is incompatible with fun. Usually people just ignore the dumbest rules though.

Pray for me, Patrick, because I'm like pendulum swinging wildly back and forth and temptation always comes when I'm at my very weakest. I have trust issues, chronic pain, and push God away when i need the convenience to sin. I'm so twisted that what i think is good is often the bad and vice versa. When life feels like a curse somedays and a gift others i have a hard time reconciling so many things. I want my heart to be on fire for Jesus but it will never happen by my own will. I just want it to stick and be able to say no to things that drag me back down into the muck in that moment. Thank you all.

Unless you believe in sinless perfection doctrine, we all remain sinners and all require constant grace from Jesus Christ. Once you accept Christ He gets to work on you. He plants the seed and the seed grows. You don't get a tree overnight. God bless Nick, Sam and Charles.

Good follow-up video. I do think it's unfair to say he's not in the Kingdom yet. He's growing. He's got some things to repent of still. Kind of reminds me of me. And I agree, some strange people are converting these days, unlikely people. I've been preaching Matthew in the 'teen' chapters. The people Jesus came to are rejecting the message while Gentiles are accepting. Unlikely converts. I hope it's a sign of coming revival. May God save the new and keep the old. This is my prayer.
