It's interesting to see Sam's insistence on the topic lead Nick to pretend to somewhat care by the end of the video. Nick sticks to the "frat boy epistemology" until it becomes clear to him that Sam isn't letting it go. What impresses me about Sam's line of reasoning is that he is making the connection between his political worldview and the implications it has on religion. There are always descriptions which appear to be true and then a leap or assumption about why or how. People replace faith in God with faith in science I think partly, because science claims to offer answers and explanations. Even if unproven or sometimes proven untrue. I describe science as, "Man trying to understand God's creation."
