That's way better than the other practice camping pack job
Rewatching this video/playlist in preparation for babes ride out east coast 2023…. Great video as always Jess!
My wife and I like camping at best western lol.
Cooking tips: using alum or stainless cookware over a propane burner or open flame will make most foods stick. Most backpack campers use alot of "just add boiling water" instant foods like rice side dishes, oatmeal, soups, coffee and cocoa, freezedried packets, etc. The extra boiled water can be used for cleanup. I always take at least 1 two-liter bottle of water to cook & drink (for 1 day) if I'm not sure there will be fresh water available at the campsite.. And don't forget a roll of paracord. Creative motocamping is freakin awesome!!
That small pocket at the top of the big bag is actually for the rain covers for both bags.
I have two suggestions for you. 1 is you should be also using ear plugs when you are riding on the hwy. The wind noise can damage your hearing take it from a old guy who needs hearing aids. 2 Is you mite want to use some stick on velcro to hold those straps down. Have a good time camping,
I think the best part of motocamping (over backpacking or bikepacking) is that you can buy cheap gear since weight isn't a primary concern.
Jess with the straps that just flap around, you can roll them and put tape around them. That's what I would do on my pack's when I was in the Marine Corps.
I have also have a coleman adventure cup. I got rid of the green cups, and I found an old coffee press at a thrift store, and took out the post and filter and it fits in my adventure cup. I cut down the center metal post to make it packable, then i can make french pressed coffee, or you could make cold steeped coffee.
Ok... this was better than your first what you take motocamping. Very nice Jess!
Great presentation! Never “moto camped” yet, but love a weekend camping. Always took my truck because my girl fills the bed of my truck with her “necessities”. You make it look so easily packed. Can’t wait for warm and campgrounds to open. Of course, there is always the back yard for now!🙀
I think you should cook eggs pancakes chilli biscuits. Ok maybe oatmeal... It's amazing how much stuff can be packed if you know how... Lots of cool gear... Thanks for the video... Much love... Stay healthy... Blue is my favorite color.
Jess, dispersed camping is available in Wayne National Forest, according to Ranger Station in Nelsonville, Ohio. I was there camping May 1.
I have the same sissy bar bag set. Two cross country trips and I absolutely love them!
Good set of travel gear. Cooking in camp is a good thing.
I'm glad yer showing products that is not expensive. We all have had bought bikes and helmets and that's great expense. So far me I need to see products that's affordable. Like for me I have a Freed Conn communicator which is only around 120 and does great for us. So keep up the great videos......Yes we like seeing your face...lol
Really good video. I enjoyed you showing all the equipment you use. I used to camp when I traveled on my push bike but now I have a motorcycle I too will try camping on my motorcycle. Thanks again
Thank you for putting this together for us. Everything needed right here at a click away. Appreciate you
Thanks for showing us your camping items, looking forward to doing some camping of my own!👍
New subscriber. Ive gotten several tips from you. One tip i can give you, when you were showing your tent fan/light you said you took all the batteries out so it wouldn't drain them. You can leave all the batteries in, but turn one of them backwards/upside down (you can also use a small piece of plastic between one of the batteries and the metal plate/coil (i use pieces of old, cut-up, credit cards)). That way when you need whatever item to work, all your batteries are right there. You don't have to dig thru a bag to find batteries.
