The thing I want to see most in a Zelda game is Ganondorf stealing artifacts to enhance his power and then taking majoras mask, putting it on and then almost right away losing to its power becoming a puppet. Making Majora the antagonist for the rest of the game.

As far as we know Majora's mask wasn't stated to have omnipotent power or even close to that kind of power. Soul manipulation isn't even near omnipotence. Oh and ganondorf didn't necessarily have possession of the full triforce in the same way Ganon did.

Well it was remade in Majora’s Mask 3D, had a cameo in Link Between Worlds, appears in Hyrule Warriors and in Smash 4 and its moon is in Smash Ultimate. It even appeared in Breath of the Wild. I rather it not return as a major villain in another game because they could ruin its legacy. It needed just one game to really leave an impact not multiple games like Ganon.

Unfair fight, we all know how Majora could just trap you against a wall in his final form and nonstop throw you, he would easily win. Ganon is stronger, but Majora is just so quick and unpredictable that there’s no way Ganon could win
Just one way to describe it: Ganon is like a very powerful Fire-based Pokemon, Link is with the Master Sword would be a Water-based Pokemon against him and everyone else is a plant-based Pokemon. Just like in Pokemon, mere strength isnt everything, elemental properties are a Major thing, Majora can be killed with Brute Force, Ganon requires Holy Weapons in most cases. Tears of the Kingdom Ganondorf can be as easily harmed as Majora, Twilight Princess Ganondorf however can only be killed with Holy Powers, and even then some fail.
I have to disagree in the battle experience... although ganon has been in more games they could be different reincarnations as well, plus he spends most of the time sealed away in the spiritual realm, and majora has been there since ancient times and we don't actually know if the mask possessed someone else... I mean you just assumed that because of ganon being around for a while he has more experience.

Ganon even has the chance to kill Link The Chosen Hero Of Time, which can also destroy Majora. You don't need the mask but you can get it because it's more of a reward for getting all the masks.

The things Majora’s mask does in the game compared to any Ganon, kinda proves that the mask has powers that each of the parts of the triforce have, it actually rivals it, if not even more powerful. And since most Ganon only has acces to one part makes Majora’s mask much stronger by a long shot. Its only problem is that its very kid like even if you fight him at the end, you notice it and before the fight starts it asks Link to play tag. Cause of that it makes alot of mistakes wich Ganon could exploit, with his experience. I wish at some point we will see a return of Majora’s mask and maybe finaly see actually where it comes from, who made it and maybe it being somewhat more mature wich would make him even more dangerous then he was in the game. Always loved how dark and twisted stuff was in that game and loved the music, my favorite still is Majora’s theme.
The Triforce of Courage literally does almost nothing at all, I am still Questioning its Purpose for Link, and even then the Hero of Time HAS the Triforce of Courage at this time since he brought it back from the future, and he can kill Majora with nothing but a small dagger, the Triforce of Wisdom grants more magical Abilities for Zelda while the Triforce of Power gives Ganondorf complete invulnerability to anything that isnt holy in any way. Which feasts are you referring to that Majora has?
I don't believe the two would ever meet like this, Majora would just be a lifeless mask. With Ganon's obsession for power and Majora's tendency to lure those to put it on, you'd think there would be thoughts whispered through Ganon's mind from Majora without his realization. That this mask has some sort of allure to it that'd make him even stronger. Majora is just a parasite waiting for the right host, and the real question is what happens if it managed bind to Ganon.
Ganondorf doesnt wear leather armor. That leather is just his normal clothes. In battle, he wears custom plating similar to Iron Knuckles, but black and gold. Yall need to watch the Anime and ketchup on the lore
This is an actual historic technique called a Mordhau stroke or murder stroke. And as Skalllagrim showed, you can do this completely bare handed as long as you grip the sword properly.
I suspect that if Ganondorf put on Majora's Mask, he would be influenced, but not controlled by it. Someone like Link or Zelda would probably just try to take the mask off as soon as it put evil thoughts in their head, but for Ganondorf, this would not be a deterrent as he is the demon king. Thus, you'd probably end up with a more evil and powerful version of Ganondorf with Majora taking the role of both a magical artifact and an underling like Ghirahim who would share goals and team up with him.

Majora's lack of holy weapons basically guaranteed Ganondorf won. He has both the statistical victory here and the lore based advantage. Tis a sad day to be a demonic mask.
I kinda feel like this is ignoring most of majoras abilities. Majora is holding back in the boss battle, well, he isn't even trying. In the game, we literally see him create a moon which he is able to just, pull to the planet. That takes immense power. He also is able to simply turn link into different creatures. Like when he turns him into a deku scrub. He's also able to put curses on things to literally change everything from the whether to the water level.
This moon is not even bigger than Clock Town which is only around one square mile tall if not less, it is enough to destroy all life on earth ditectly and indirectly, yet it is still nothing than the actual moon which is around 1/4 of the Size of the earth in Size

It managed to gain enough life force from all those people using cursing rituals to start affecting outside of the mask so they sealed it away and the reason why I'm saying this is cuz this is like a collaboration between all the different sources of information and this is what it points to my interpretation only and it shouldn't be considered the interpretation but I always feel personally that this is the interpretation of the origin of the mask of majora.
What makes Majora cool is how he was unknown to Hyrule while being the biggest threat to the world. Majora’s full powerful is probably so immense that even Ganon fears Majora.
Well, in the comics majora is a ancient dragon with great armor.while ganondorf only really relies on the triforce of power. Plus he took 7 years to take over.When majora took 3 days to literally destroy the entire world,and he was going easy on link. So in my opinion majora wins
In the hyrule encyclopedia majoras mask literally is so powerful it created termina from skullkids mind. An entire tangible dimension, yet it wanted to destroy it anyway. Maybe for the fun of it or just to prove a point. Majora’s mask is so fun to think about. Maybe that’s why it has that weird second stage in its final battle; It never took Link seriously until the very end. And as a cherry on top, if it can make a whole reality by itself it’s almost as strong as the three goddesses all by itself.
Great video but I just wanted to point out that you really only covered the final boss when it comes to majors. What I mean by that is that majora displays a few more magical abilities outside of boss fights. Do I think these few abilities would change the outcome of the fight? No I don't but it would have been nice if you talked about them.

Majora's mask is ancient. Majora is even older. That should give him more experience. He also can destroy the planet in 3 days. It takes Ganon under 7 years to rule a country. Maybe Ganon can only die by the master sword(although I'm sure he'd be susceptible to power greater than his), but what's he going to do when the planet is blown up? Float aimlessly in space while Majora leaves for a dimension he can create on the fly?
2 years later and I'm pretty sure that Ganondorf would put up a hell of a fight but ultimately lose to Majora. Ganon though, ON THE OTHER HAND, would only be restrained by time, and with enough time, it would be a landslide in favor of Ganon. He's literally had Link canonically ended twice by mere underlings, and when Link was the only one who bested Majora, it shouldn't be a surprise that Ganon could beat Majora.
Here's the thing, the Majora's Mask is literally invincible until you travel back in time at least 4 times to gather all the giants. I don't believe any incarnation of Demise possesses that ability, and thus none of them would be able to best the Mask.
Not to mention it's manipulative madding ability. He would probably convince Ganon to put on the mask and become a puppet. I wonder if Majora would steal his triforce?

Gannondorf may have an advantage against Majora's mask where even if the mask was to use it's arms as whips and due to the fact that Ganondorf has good combat skills hes likely able to cut off the mask's whip-like arms in any way, also Majora's mask is also vulnerable so long as no one wears the mask since it gets it's power used by it's wearer to where like skull kid who was able to create the illusionary world of Termina. so yeah Ganondorf already had the advantage since in reality Majora's mask is just a mask.

Majora legit survive the aftermath of the destruction of the world of termina and hides into depths the darkness 2. Majora gets destroyed along with Termina. While the mask itself get destroy along with the moon it still won. Maybe by its sadistic nature it didn't care if destruction destroys itself. Knowing that world will be in pieces seems to satisfy the mask already. This is why they show majora drifting away as it finally complete its desire of destruction and misery
IMO I think Ganondorf would win. Not because of the triforce, transformation into a beast & such but because he keeps coming BACK. Majora only came out in one game & made a few easter egg appearances. Ganon came in OOT, WindWaker, Twilight Princess (Beast form through the fallen hero timeline) & Hyrule Warriors. Seeing him pop out in multiple battles shows that yeah you defeated him but still made it BACK, Majora has not returned as another fight & though it can pull some strings to cheat Ganon (moon falling, controlling the mind, change nature or his appearance etc..), he will return again eventually (also triforce of power assists Ganon of course). Sure if Majora gets lucky & manages to defeat Ganon, Ganon can't be killed nor destroyed. The evil within the mask left, Ganon doesn't. Anyways great video, I enjoyed the comparisons for the two. Majora's true powers aren't ever really explained, he can change which body you're inhabiting and pull a celestial body out of the Earth's gravitational lock, he could most definitely send Ganon to the moon and send the moon, well back to where it belongs
Actually, Ganondorf with the Triforce of Power is NOT the toughest of his version. Forgetting A Link to the Past? He has THE FULL. FREAKING. TRIFORCE. Plus, he's immune to damage aside of light arrows.
I belive that Majora might be more powerful in terms of having actual magical power however since not taking fights seriously acting a bit cocky and childish because it knows that it has so much power Ganondorf would always come on top. Ganondorf is as you can see more versotile and efficient in his fights taking it serious and even dough probably not as powerfull as Majora in terms of raw magical power he still is incredibly powerfull in that regard.

@@schildiish Simple the Triforce of power has limitatiations wich are bound to it's user, Ganondorf, bacause it can probably only make him as strong as his potential and his body allows him to handle. Given that he is able to do great magical tasks by using magic but here is the thing Majora doas not use magic it's raw magical power what this creature is using. But here is the thing it's raw magical power is still strong enough that it can move entire celestial bodys without having truly a plan only destruction in mind. Ganondorf has a plan he wats to take over Highrule doasn't he but why? And the more important question is if he wsnted to do that why didn't he yust use the same tactic as Majora and threatened the King of Highrule and all of the diffrend People and races in Highrule to listend to his demands. The moon is only a small planetary feat, Ganondorf has large star level to solar system level durability, however at full power Majora is universal to universal+.
1:14 you said bewitching rituals instead of hexing rituals and that just bothered me immensely even though it's not THAT big of a deal. But the words have different connotations and are not synonymous with each other. Hexing implies curses, whereas bewitching implies charms. The first is almost exclusively negative and the latter is almost exclusively positive. Extremely tiny nitpick but it made me REEEEE for a few moments and I had to say it so I could watch the rest of the video XD

I disagree with you. I would say that we cannot even compare them. We have seen Ganondorf using his full power, but we NEVER saw Majoras Mask fighting with its full power. We do not know if he is able to use magic that instantly kills you no matter what. We cannot say if he is stronger than the Triforce of Power. There is no way. I forgot to mention that we do not know if Majoras Mask is able to make itself immortal/invincible. -And you should have mentioned the attacks that the Skull Kid has in Hyrule Warriors.- Edit: @Slice Ninja reminded me that Hyrule Warriors is not canon. The actual background mower is the mask was used to seal away at the chaos deity and then it was used for cursing rituals so they could curse the deity in The mask and subjugate the smallest fragment safely as possible of its power of course but then that's cursed power always has a negative with its positive like a monkey paw
I think it is going to be dangerously close either way. Ganondorf could overpower whoever the mask possesses, sure, but the Mask could also dropbthe freaking moon on Ganondorf, which is a lot more than a castle. Or tuen Ganondorf into a Deku Scrub. As far as we know Majora's mask wasn't stated to have omnipotent power or even close to that kind of power. Soul manipulation isn't even near omnipotence. Oh and ganondorf didn't necessarily have possession of the full triforce in the same way Ganon did.

I think Majora was the most creatively designed villain in the series, but Nintendo didn't do a lot with him.

Well it was remade in Majora’s Mask 3D, had a cameo in Link Between Worlds, appears in Hyrule Warriors and in Smash 4 and its moon is in Smash Ultimate. It even appeared in Breath of the Wild. I rather it not return as a major villain in another game because they could ruin its legacy. It needed just one game to really leave an impact not multiple games like Ganon.

This Kid is a Bioweapon made by the Gods, while regular Hylians taks hours to kill a Lynel even in a Group , Link just needs a couple of seconds, and this "kid" cannot even harm Ganon in most cases without a Holy Sword

I think you really devalued their abilities. Majora has the power to pull the moon out of the sky, turn Link into a whole different creature, cause the moon to drop a tear, make the ocean cloud over, freeze the entire mountains, and resurrect the undead. Ganon has the power to spawn mobs of enemies, darken the sky, create phantoms of himself, and take over the minds and possess people. While Ganon's are great, Majora's are absurdly over the top. Granted it may be that Ganon wants to rule the land while Majora wants it to just burn but still.
Not to mention that Ganon killed a Guardian Spirits which was probably a Creation of Deities to watch over the Forest, and he did that even before uptaining the Triforce of Power

Unfair fight, we all know how Majora could just trap you against a wall in his final form and nonstop throw you, he would easily win. Ganon is stronger, but Majora is just so quick and unpredictable that there’s no way Ganon could win
Just one way to describe it:
Ganon is like a very powerful Fire-based Pokemon, Link is with the Master Sword would be a Water-based Pokemon against him and everyone else is a plant-based Pokemon.
Just like in Pokemon, mere strength isnt everything, elemental properties are a Major thing, Majora can be killed with Brute Force, Ganon requires Holy Weapons in most cases.
Tears of the Kingdom Ganondorf can be as easily harmed as Majora, Twilight Princess Ganondorf however can only be killed with Holy Powers, and even then some fail.
I have to disagree in the battle experience... although ganon has been in more games they could be different reincarnations as well, plus he spends most of the time sealed away in the spiritual realm, and majora has been there since ancient times and we don't actually know if the mask possessed someone else... I mean you just assumed that because of ganon being around for a while he has more experience.

The things Majora’s mask does in the game compared to any Ganon, kinda proves that the mask has powers that each of the parts of the triforce have, it actually rivals it, if not even more powerful.
And since most Ganon only has acces to one part makes Majora’s mask much stronger by a long shot.
Its only problem is that its very kid like even if you fight him at the end, you notice it and before the fight starts it asks Link to play tag.
Cause of that it makes alot of mistakes wich Ganon could exploit, with his experience.
I wish at some point we will see a return of Majora’s mask and maybe finaly see actually where it comes from, who made it and maybe it being somewhat more mature wich would make him even more dangerous then he was in the game.

The Triforce of Courage literally does almost nothing at all, I am still Questioning its Purpose for Link, and even then the Hero of Time HAS the Triforce of Courage at this time since he brought it back from the future, and he can kill Majora with nothing but a small dagger, the Triforce of Wisdom grants more magical Abilities for Zelda while the Triforce of Power gives Ganondorf complete invulnerability to anything that isnt holy in any way. I don't believe the two would ever meet like this, Majora would just be a lifeless mask. With Ganon's obsession for power and Majora's tendency to lure those to put it on, you'd think there would be thoughts whispered through Ganon's mind from Majora without his realization. That this mask has some sort of allure to it that'd make him even stronger. Majora is just a parasite waiting for the right host, and the real question is what happens if it managed bind to Ganon.
Ganondorf doesnt wear leather armor. That leather is just his normal clothes. In battle, he wears custom plating similar to Iron Knuckles, but black and gold. Yall need to watch the Anime and ketchup on the lore

I suspect that if Ganondorf put on Majora's Mask, he would be influenced, but not controlled by it. Someone like Link or Zelda would probably just try to take the mask off as soon as it put evil thoughts in their head, but for Ganondorf, this would not be a deterrent as he is the demon king. Thus, you'd probably end up with a more evil and powerful version of Ganondorf with Majora taking the role of both a magical artifact and an underling like Ghirahim who would share goals and team up with him.

Majora's lack of holy weapons basically guaranteed Ganondorf won. He has both the statistical victory here and the lore based advantage. Tis a sad day to be a demonic mask.
I kinda feel like this is ignoring most of majoras abilities. Majora is holding back in the boss battle, well, he isn't even trying. In the game, we literally see him create a moon which he is able to just, pull to the planet. That takes immense power. He also is able to simply turn link into different creatures. Like when he turns him into a deku scrub. He's also able to put curses on things to literally change everything from the whether to the water level.
This moon is not even bigger than Clock Town which is only around one square mile tall if not less, it is enough to destroy all life on earth ditectly and indirectly, yet it is still nothing than the actual moon which is around 1/4 of the Size of the earth in Size

What makes Majora cool is how he was unknown to Hyrule while being the biggest threat to the world. Majora’s full powerful is probably so immense that even Ganon fears Majora.

In the hyrule encyclopedia majoras mask literally is so powerful it created termina from skullkids mind. An entire tangible dimension, yet it wanted to destroy it anyway. Maybe for the fun of it or just to prove a point. Majora’s mask is so fun to think about. Maybe that’s why it has that weird second stage in its final battle; It never took Link seriously until the very end. And as a cherry on top, if it can make a whole reality by itself it’s almost as strong as the three goddesses all by itself.
Great video but I just wanted to point out that you really only covered the final boss when it comes to majors. What I mean by that is that majora displays a few more magical abilities outside of boss fights. Do I think these few abilities would change the outcome of the fight? No I don't but it would have been nice if you talked about them.

Float aimlessly in space while Majora leaves for a dimension he can create on the fly?
2 years later and I'm pretty sure that Ganondorf would put up a hell of a fight but ultimately lose to Majora.
Ganon though, ON THE OTHER HAND, would only be restrained by time, and with enough time, it would be a landslide in favor of Ganon. He's literally had Link canonically ended twice by mere underlings, and when Link was the only one who bested Majora, it shouldn't be a surprise that Ganon could beat Majora.

Here's the thing, the Majora's Mask is literally invincible until you travel back in time at least 4 times to gather all the giants. I don't believe any incarnation of Demise possesses that ability, and thus none of them would be able to best the Mask.

1. Majora legit survive the aftermath of the destruction of the world of termina and hides into depths the darkness
2. Majora gets destroyed along with Termina. While the mask itself get destroy along with the moon it still won. Maybe by its sadistic nature it didn't care if destruction destroys itself. Knowing that world will be in pieces seems to satisfy the mask already. This is why they show majora drifting away as it finally complete its desire of destruction and misery

IMO I think Ganondorf would win. Not because of the triforce, transformation into a beast & such but because he keeps coming BACK. Majora only came out in one game & made a few easter egg appearances. Ganon came in OOT, WindWaker, Twilight Princess (Beast form through the fallen hero timeline) & Hyrule Warriors. Seeing him pop out in multiple battles shows that yeah you defeated him but still made it BACK, Majora has not returned as another fight & though it can pull some strings to cheat Ganon (moon falling, controlling the mind, change nature or his appearance etc..), he will return again eventually (also triforce of power assists Ganon of course). Sure if Majora gets lucky & manages to defeat Ganon, Ganon can't be killed nor destroyed. The evil within the mask left, Ganon doesn't. Anyways great video, I enjoyed the comparisons for the two. Majora's true powers aren't ever really explained, he can change which body you're inhabiting and pull a celestial body out of the Earth's gravitational lock, he could most definitely send Ganon to the moon and send the moon, well back to where it belongs

I belive that Majora might be more powerful in terms of having actual magical power however since not taking fights seriously acting a bit cocky and childish because it knows that it has so much power Ganondorf would always come on top. Ganondorf is as you can see more versotile and efficient in his fights taking it serious and even dough probably not as powerfull as Majora in terms of raw magical power he still is incredibly powerfull in that regard.

@@schildiish Simple the Triforce of power has limitatiations wich are bound to it's user, Ganondorf, bacause it can probably only make him as strong as his potential and his body allows him to handle. Given that he is able to do great magical tasks by using magic but here is the thing Majora doas not use magic it's raw magical power what this creature is using. But here is the thing it's raw magical power is still strong enough that it can move entire celestial bodys without having truly a plan only destruction in mind. Ganondorf has a plan he wats to take over Highrule doasn't he but why? And the more important question is if he wsnted to do that why didn't he yust use the same tactic as Majora and threatened the King of Highrule and all of the diffrend People and races in Highrule to listend to his demands. Shurely a display of power as moving the moon would make his demands more reasonable and nobody would defy him out of pure fear and probably respect because he came to speak not to destroy. Because he can't. He isn't even able to controll anything on earth as seen by the Wind Waker. He had the Power of the Triforce there didn't he if he eould have been able he could have yust have removed the water or lifted Highrule back to the surfice himself. Essentially what the Triforce is, it is yust borrowing power from the gods augmenting your own however what Majora has shown to be capable of is a feat wich would be actually only be doable by the gods themselfs. Bare in mind all great modifications to the world of highrule has only been done by gods. So allone from raw magical capability I would say yes Majora is more powerfull than Ganondorf.
Maybe its because the Mask doeant understand emotions all that well in some way so it decides to use skull kid emotions in its most malicious way when he had the mask on.

Majora will win easily. It creates a moon to destroy Hyrule and everything in it including Ganondorf.
The moon is only a small planetary feat, Ganondorf has large star level to solar system level durability, however at full power Majora is universal to universal+.

But the words have different connotations and are not synonymous with each other. Hexing implies curses, whereas bewitching implies charms. The first is almost exclusively negative and the latter is almost exclusively positive. Extremely tiny nitpick but it made me REEEEE for a few moments and I had to say it so I could watch the rest of the video XD

I disagree with you. I would say that we cannot even compare them. We have seen Ganondorf using his full power, but we NEVER saw Majoras Mask fighting with its full power. We do not know if he is able to use magic that instantly kills you no matter what. We cannot say if he is stronger than the Triforce of Power. There is no way. I forgot to mention that we do not know if Majoras Mask is able to make itself immortal/invincible. -And you should have mentioned the attacks that the Skull Kid has in Hyrule Warriors.- Edit: @Slice Ninja reminded me that Hyrule Warriors is not canon. The actual background mower is the mask was used to seal away at the chaos deity and then it was used for cursing rituals so they could curse the deity in The mask and subjugate the smallest fragment safely as possible of its power of course but then that's cursed power always has a negative with its positive like a monkey paw
I think it is going to be dangerously close either way. Ganondorf could overpower whoever the mask possesses, sure, but the Mask could also dropbthe freaking moon on Ganondorf, which is a lot more than a castle.
Or tuen Ganondorf into a Deku Scrub. Can you imagine that? The King of Evil, primary recurring threat to Hyrule, reduced to a walking plant.
