Got a new drift going in at the bottom of the old Chinese Mine shaft and let me tell ya what boy, them nuggets are getting Bigger and Bigger ....nothing like mining virgin ground and can't wait to see what comes out of the wash plant so you know what I am gonna say huh ...oooh you better ...So C'mon...let's Go !!!
I knew the big stuff is laying in the red seam! Does the same here in hard rock of southern oregon. Last 32oz pocket was surrounded by the red clay in the quart laiden with gold😲 Keep it up Jeff your on it!!!
As a teenager, I worked on the county road maintenance crew in the Texas panhandle. We hauled tons of caliche to cover the dirt roads. We got our caliche from a company that dug and crushed it specifically for road base. Since watching your channel, I've wondered if anybody ever thought to check it for precious metals! I may have paved those old country roads with gold! Love the show, love the mine, love the beans!
I often wonder the same out in Colorado since I spend a lot of time walking around my town, and we have whats almost like cobble stone roads with all the fine and coarse gravels they use for filler or something. I'll even just crawl around looking at the specimen in the roads to see if any made it through lol.
That's caliche that happened to form in already gold-bearing gravel. Caliche is not indicative of gold, there are trillions of tons of it in barren ground. Sorry.
That caliche is up in WA State too. It caused some head scratching trying to test compaction in highway construction. It was so light compared to sandy soil(79lb/ft^3 and 125 lb/ft^3).
I have been a long time subscriber to your channel. I was interested in gold panning and I came across your channel years ago. You channel is the most informational that is available. I am now at the point of where I'm taking a trip out west to stake a claim and I needed information on how to do that and bam,you have a video on that too. You are changing lives and encouraging familys to get there kids more active. My 8 yo son is so excited to look for gold. After watching your video with him every time we go for a walk near a stream he points at the rocks on the head of the inside bend and says there's gold there. You are doing a amazing job and I thank you for this adventure.
thanks Brandon .....really appreciate that ...thats great and we know you are gonna do really good...... thanks for sharing that with us and we always love hearing that .....keep us posted on what ya find and be safe out there
Jeff l have been a patriot around a year . I'm a disabled person that wishes could hunt gold but cannot . I really enjoy watching you and hearing all your true knowledge. Looking forward to a day when I get chosen for a piece of that hard earned gold nugget you pull from your mine. It's remarkable how much effort you show goes into it all but what a thrill. You must also keep some of the gold . I mean at least in other areas of your gold workings?
hey jeff , on your spike drill , i welded a spike drill with a chisel together, the spike is 2" from bottom up the the chisel . making for a wider cut instead of just a point mark. this is to cut down on your digging , the spike idea is good from the old days, but TIME IS MONEY, BABY?
Jeff, on the power washer it's best to slide plastic cup onto wand snugly towards nozzle to prevent all the initial blowback. Once you get 9 to 12 " into material the pressure washer works for itself. They don't sell one at walmart or home depot that's a true 5000psi. You have to go to a professional shop. Belt driven "Cat Pumps" are the best.
Then you can try different turbo nozzles that double the psi. 10,000psi at the tip of wand is an incredible amount of cutting force. 5 gpm at 10,000 psi. Holy flippin bejesus. Matched only by the big boys.
Jackhammer is priceless So would be a 5000 psi Power washer with a 4'wand and flat straight steam nozzle. It will bore a hole through solid concrete . Once it starts boring it does all the work. I'm telling you Jeff.
That caliche is what they build Adobe bricks out of. That's a very hard material and a lot of hard work. There are building that where built in the 1700's that are still standing to this day here in New Mexico!
Just got back from a hard day on the claim. Plopped on couch, cracked open a drink and a can of Baked Beans, and tuned in Jeff Williams. And what did I see ??? Jeff scrafing down the same !! Hooo Weee !!! Love seeing that deep red dirt too. It's the best. Be careful !! Those nuggets are too large for the Monster. Might blow out the electronics. Lol !!! All that fine gold was making crazy too ! I know where you can find a good wash plant to recover those fines. 🤔
Keep daring me to come to your drift mine..I'll be more then happy to pack up my things and drive there you just say the word sonny Jim glad you and Lila had a great time in upstate new York and glad y'all made it home safe..

😊 pretty darn good showing he made it made this time, grabbing your riod and pulling it in classic telekinesis. Remember Jeff spirits do get confused and lost and maybe a tad bit bored, but they are absolutely harmless. They Can only take what you give them. Remember, there is nothing more powerful than love and creativity and as you’ve heard before, the only thing to fear is fear itself because that’s what we create and we are the most powerful creative beinings in the universe.
Pretty good digging to the red paydirt. Are you going to run a sluice box to get the fines out too? I saw one of your paydirt bag being panned, and it was pretty rich. At the end looking at the lowered drift; you must only have top pressure because nothing other than the weight pushing down is going to keep the verticals from going inward due to any side pressure. And that is because it is slanted to the sides. So there must not be much side pressure to begin with. Great video! I really enjoy the videos a lot. I have been reading about square sets, and what it can do to get a lot more ore out than normal sets can. It can really hollow a mountain up. It is however very expensive and should only be used when there is no other way you can support the ground. You did a video about entering such a mine on an expedition: "Spelunking the ( widowmaker ) Delamar Mine, Nevada". I also ran across a design that looked like your shafts you have been building. Pretty good! "Mine Timbering by Wilbur E. Sanders Et Al", page 22 fig 27, and page 29 fig 31. He good luck with the mine, those nuggets are looking bigger and bigger! Greetings, Jeff
