Love the videos but I have heard from BMW engineers that it’s actually the cars that are driven “light” that run into more engine issues down the line. The reason is these are high performance engines they need to be run hot pretty often to keep the internals clean from carbon buildup, injectors fouling, and other pollutants. So you actually should be running the engine hard fairly often to keep it clean and optimal!
Great point, yes I have heard that as well that every once in a while it's beneficial to run the engine hard to clear out the gunk, this is very much needed for the m cars that have high performing engines!
I feel the whole keeping up with maintenance goes with every kind of car. People just get lazy or refuse to pay for what their cars need, and run them to the ground instead. They think just cuz it's a reliable car that it doesn't require frequent maintenance. I had Toyotas before, and as low maintenance as they were, I still kept up with everything they needed. If I'm spending 3x as much for a BMW, you bet I'd be doing the same.
Agreed, at the end of the day as long as you take care of the vehicle and do what's needed it'll last as long as you need it to!
New record for you. You lost me when you said BMW to last forever. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Haha, Title gave that one up didn't it.
Great video! Promise I'm not hating, but it's Bimmer; Beamer/Beemer refers to a BMW Motorcycle, while Bimmer refers to a BMW car. Not an issue, just saying. Keep up the great work!
I'm Jamaican, it's Bimmah

You are Correct! BimmerView was already taken! :(
JUST GOT A X6 M50...TACORA RED SEATS NO LONGER AVAILABLE..THE GESTURE CONTROL IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE...HOWEVER THE VEHICLE IS STILL LIKE A ROCKET...
If you service your BMW yourself can you reset the service reminders? I ask because the closest BMW deal is over 100 miles away.
It is possible, for vehicles with iDrive 7 its not too difficult, but with iDrive 8 it can get complicated since there is a sequence to it.
What about gear oil change?
Good Q, it would depend on the vehicle of course. But a good estimate is around 45k miles, more or less.
WOW "if you have garage, use it" i didnt know that what this is for LOLOLOLOL
Mhm. Some use it for storage. Or like Jeff Bezos for starting a company. We recommend, car. :)
I didn’t buy a BMW for good fuel economy or low tyre wear. It’s designed to be driven, and constantly driving it gently does it no good at all. I agree it needs to be serviced correctly.
Great point made!
Rats!!! Well, not in the cabin, but under the hood - gnawed some wires. Thought maybe mothballs would dissuade, but BMW tech recommended mint spray- formulated for this purpose (on Amazon). No damage in last 3 years since religiously applying a spritz after each foray.
Buyers get rid of (run flatt tires) they dont last long at all
Haven't heard to many issues with them. Either way they aren't doing them much on the newer cars especially EVs.
This is all common sense,I would think.
Common sense isn't too common these days =)
