    On behalf of those of us with grandchildren, slow down a bit please. I can now work pretty much everything on my i4 except the rear wiper, but I can't listen that fast.

      Thanks for the feed back, there is a feature within the video player where you can slow down the speed. I purposely keep it snappy for video retention purposes! Myself included, very short attention spans =)

      @TheophilusPWildbeest ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @BeamerView Thanks. And if you get to speak to anyone of influence in BMW please tell them of course it needs a rear wiper. I heard they said that the airflow will keep the rear window clear, maybe so at speed but not at low speed in city traffic where electric cars are at their best, and not when you return to a wet car that has been parked overnight. It's a disappointing omission.

    One feature not covered in the M sports packages is the M sport differential. Sometimes called track handling PKG. One of the best features BMW offers and great on track days or just plain cornering. Please cover this

    • @BeamerView

    I appreciate your channel, thanks for putting in the work. I feel like an idiot asking but when putting my ‘23 X7 in reverse, is there a way to get the side mirrors to tilt downward? I feel like this should be straightforward but it’s not happening.

    • @BeamerView
      @BeamerView  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Brian, thank you for watching and supporting the channel!
      Yes, the way that you should be able to control this is by the side mirror selector switch.
      Nearby the controls where you can open and close the windows the side mirror selector switch is going to be one that has nothing on it, but it can move and slide left to right depending on what side you have that set, will control the function.
      Hope this helps no such thing as a dumb question!

    I brought home a 2023 I4 M50 in February and I did purchase the esim option. In the video, you mention a free trial including hot spot capability. I have not signed up with TMobile yet, but if I have a free trial, I would like to utilize that. I followed your instructions and I do not see a wifi hotspot option. Are you able to unravel this confusion for me?

      Thanks for reaching out Michelle, yours has the brand new iDrive 8! So it'll look a little bit different.
      My best thoughts on how to set up the Esim is through your MY BMW APP. Check out this one > th-cam.com/video/D5tmRavPpC8/w-d-xo.html

      It's quite tricky but check out the video. You have to fully drive past the empty spot and then it'll give you the option. Sometimes it helps to make sure your seatbelt is on, use your turn signal, and go at a steady speed.

    Thank you for all or your excellent videos. I learn so much from them. For the benefit of others, concerning a hitch: My wife and I bought a used 2020 X7 that did not have a hitch, but we wanted one for it. We found a company called Stealth Hitch. Our Des Moines BMW Dealer installed it for us and was able to do so while conserving the functionality of all the sensors. When not needed, you cannot tell from looking at the rear of the vehicle that it has a hitch. Only when using either the 2" receiver for a bike rack; or, the ball for pulling a trailer, is it ever evident. Coupled with expert technician installation, and this quality after-market product, it is possible to add a hitch and not mess-up your rear end our functionality.

    • @BeamerView
      @BeamerView  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the input Barry! I was not aware of Stealth Hitch but it's good to know. I tend stray away from aftermarket parts to keep things congruent with the rest of the channel. As you mentioned with the aftermarket there is always a option that comes up along the way =)

      Just one more observation on the topic of the trailer hitch. On my 2022 X3 (European model tbf) I run a factory-installed hitch and the kick-to-open feature does work. Great channel by the way, watching your vie does has helped me out a lot! 🤙🏻 Many thanks!

    Okay … another question 😁 You speak of laser lights. In the USA, do the laser lights have the function that automatically “blacks out” the light for the oncoming vehicle allowing us to keep the car lights on high beam?

    • @BeamerView
      @BeamerView  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Michelle, thanks for reaching out! I did see this article online for more info > www.bmwakron.com/bmw_laser_lights----bmw-dealership-near-me.html#:~:text=Instead%2C%20this%20technology%20uses%20a,to%20prevent%20blinding%20these%20vehicles.
      I do not believe they have the function of blacking out the light, I know they were testing a similar feature a while ago but I do not think it made it out yet. Far as I know, your auto high beams will turn off when a vehicle is oncoming.

    • @BeamerView

      Thanks! European countries have it worse with the rumor of heated seats, etc being a subscription feature. Here in the US it's not as bad I would say.

    • @megahound
      @megahound ปีที่แล้ว

      I think the way this has been sold/explained will confuse people. To simplify the manufacturing process all vehicles will come with the hardware for all features then you can choose to enable these features. Things like heated seat you can pay for a month to trial them or pay for a lifetime subscription that would cost the same as adding them as an option ordering in the old way.

      Yes, I'm quite sure it does. 2 Types of Wifi Systems going on.

      OH NO these cars are made for driving. I love driving my x7 but my husband prefers to twiddle with the radio settings although he is much better at parallel parking in the city. I have passed on my old Nissan 7-seat Patrol stick shift to him, equally as big as the x7 but the wheelbase is different.
