I rode around in the crew cab Power Wagon at the Iowa Rally and the owner is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet. If it can be possible, it is even better in person than it looks on video. Top notch build and quality. Mission accomplished Mr. Verst.

Wow , just love both of them. My first new truck was a dodge w200 in 1976 dark green . By 1979 I had about 30,000 miles on it. I became paralyzed by botched operation and had to give it up , my father took it since it was new. Tuff times for all of us and even worse now but that's life. Thanks always loved the power wagons of old.

Crew cab is excellent , has to be the best ever made , time and patience to make this awesome machine . Just exactly right in proportion . Raise my hat to the owner for excellent fabrication and engineering skills . An absolute gem . . . The red and cream bus . Another excellent example of amazing work and ownership . Both of these owners should be absolutely proud to have achieved the amazing standard of time and work that has went into creating two of the best out there . .

Amazing! As young Army Private with the 101st at Fort Campbell Kentucky in 1966, I was assigned an Army 3/4 Ton Dodge truck. I had to do everything with it to keep it mission ready. The gearing would let you crawl up just about anything. You could throw it out of an airplane and it would still only got 45 miles per hour. Great memories.

The Powerwagon pickup is absolutely fantastic. The craftsmanship is superb and the color while could be referred to as "Olive Drab", there is nothing drab about it. Most of these Powerwagons you see painted in a drag green or red, sometimes with black fenders. The difference in his color choices really help to make his stand out. Also I am personally really impressed by the condition and wrap of his winch cable. As a person involved in the recovery industry for many decades nothing upsets me more than an operator who abuses, crushes and misses winds his cable back onto the drum. Thus shortening the operating life of the cable in the process. There are several people whom I have given their walking papers to for this very reason. It's a great job and I must say that it makes me jealous.

Loved those old Power Wagon trucks since they were practically new. Almost inherited one when a close friend died, but got shafted out of it. First thing that went through my mind seeing the one in the video was: _Wow! First crew cab one I've ever seen!_ It was a bit of a relief hearing it was a handmade one of a kind.

Wow what an incredible build and something as little as relocating the back door hinges to maintain the bodylines shows his attention to detail. Fooled me for a second and then I thought "hang on a 4 door Power Wagon from way back then"? LOL, awesome and beautiful work truly I'm sure the talk of any car show he participates in. 😊😊 😎 😎

I had a 1959 Dodge Fargo panel wagon two wheel drive in the 70's, the body looked similar but without side windows, it had the V8 with a column shifted 3 speed, no power steering, after I installed 8 inch rimmed tires on the front and 10 inch 0n the back. trying to park was quite a chore, the Van had a 2 spoke steering wheel, after I broke two trying to park I installed a custom steel steering wheel, the 3 speed transmissions were not strong enough for the V8, I broke quite a few trying to burn rubber, I loved that truck, I once drove from Seattle to Vancouver in a snow storm with a broken transmission, first and reverse would always be the gears that gave up the ghost, I drove home with just second and third gear working.

Hey..MCC crew..I really gotta tell you, I think this is probably on of the best "1 on 1" episodes. Super nice car owners. Unless an individual is an absolute true blue power wagon afficianato, there is no way anyone can tell he modified this vehicle. Love the Red and Cream truck. Always loved Red and Cream together. Classy, just plain 'o classy. Keep on truckin'!!

No they wouldn't. People dont want rugged, they want touchscreens and car suspensions in trucks. Just look at all the suburban moms who buy wranglers and 4runners. They'd sell poorly to hardcore offroad guys, fiat would lose money, and they'd discontinue it a few million dollars poorer

That is quite an optioned out 58' Town Wagon!! Power Steering on Power Wagons was offered from 57'-60'. Discontinued for the 61' model year, it wouldn't return for 4X4s until 1968!! The V8 was already a huge additional expense so, the inclusion of Power Steering made the price tag for this quite steep. You had to have the V8 to have Power Steering. Between the 4X4 option, the V-8 and the Power Steering, this was probably at LEAST 50% more added to the initial base price Town Wagon!
