- We compare the latest high-powered electric unicycles from King Song, Gotway, and InMotion. While most of the EUCs compared are in the same 2000W motor range, we go much further beyond the specs to explain the differences between them.
All EUCs featured are available at EUCO: www.euco.us/el...
Gotway Nikola Plus (1900W, 1800Wh (21700 cells)
King Song 16X (2200W, 1554Wh)
InMotion V10F (2000W, 960Wh)
InMotion V8F (1000W, 518Wh)
Inmotion V10F baby! I've had mine for over a year and haven't had a single issue. Not even a rattle. Such quality.
Imagine inmotion, bump the battery wh up... With size... On 21700 instead on 18650...
Range and speed... Respectively...
How much is it man?
What psi do you keep your wheel at? I get wobbles if I ride over 10mph.... so I have to ride at 25psi.... no wobbles.
@@conan911 You could probably do the mod yourself. Similar to the GotWay Tesla 1500Wh. It would be V10F 1500Wh with 21700 cells.
I'm having a sensor and motor faults according to the diagnostics but it still works. The handle is awesome - quick to grab and put it back
I love my KS16X thanks for the comparison!
Hi I just got mine, I'm a beginner learning to maneuver
Are you in New York?
This was a refreshing take. I thought this channel was strictly for Inmotion fans, lol. The point about the progress of wheels over the years was spot on. Kudos to the engineers of these companies. Would you guys have any information on new technology for the EUC's in 2020? Looking forward to more coverage
Thanks! Our channel used to focus solely on InMotion because we were working with them exclusively for awhile, but now we are working directly with King Song and Gotway as well. There are some surprises in store for 2020 for sure, and we will definitely be covering it. :)
@@EUCOllective so you don't recommend buying now.... But rather wait for the news in 2020?
Thank you guys, great comparison!
You guys are the real deal bought the V10f and the Nikola plus both are perfect in its ways had them for about month apart and had no issues yet got three hundred miles on both. V10f is made for cruising around your neighborhood for a very long time and Bluetooth speakers are awesome. Nikola plus is made for touring with style and the Bluetooth speakers are awesome to.You won’t be disappointed with any of these units king song is my next purchase from you guys keep up the good work
I watched this video to buy my Nikola+ Thanks so much!
nice, great review
I bought my v8f from you guys, love it. It’s time for a upgrade. V11 sounds good. The little kid in me wants more everything but at 74 I need to ride more adult like cause I don’t bounce like I used to.
V11 is great for the old knees. Real heavy of a wheel, but a real comfortable ride. I do suggest waiting a bit longer if you can to see if they make a new version, but the v11 now is pretty good.
best review. really helped perspective, thanks!
Thank you. Good video. Glad you started selling gotway too.
Got 16x. Very happy. Want faster one now !
Excellent review of the wheels, guys. Keep up the good work.
any date on the V8F? kinda set on getting it but not comfortable waiting on pre-orders
According to an email they sent, it should ship by end of December. Pre-orders get free air shipment directly from factory and also they are running a 10% off black Friday deal
Wen's World sounds pretty good might be convinced if by December
A really fantastic comparison video, guys!
My only complaint: as role models, especially to new riders, you should aklways wear wrist guards🙂
and knee pads
as role models you should not wear any gay gear... buff up a bit... lose the glasses... bikini for girl...
im on my 3rd gotway wheel, gotway for life!
Great review, thank you! I think a King Song KS16S is in my future. Quick question though. On the KS16X, can I set the max speed in the app? In my community, I can actually get ticketed for speeding so I'd want to limit it 25mph. I downloaded the app myself to take a look but without a EUC to connect to, I cannot see the features within the app.
You guys really should wear some safety gear when making these videos even at low speeds you can seriously get hurt. I was doing like 14 Mph on my inMotion came across some uneven road and fell forward and as I fell I put both hand out to brace myself and I bruised the bones in the palms of my hands especially my left palm. That was almost 90 Days ago and my palms are still slightly sore. I might of had fractures because it about 90 percent healed now. I figure another 2 weeks it should be completely healed. Had I Been wearing my gloves and wrist guards I wouldn’t have felt a thing. WEAR YOUR GEAR FOLKS!!
Where do you get your handle?
@ what psi was the inmotion v10f ridden at? For some reason if I pump the tire up more than 25psi....i get speed wobbles... so I keep it at 25.... no wobbles.
I love my Nikola. But depending on what you're using it for. I know I had the power for the EUC Games but I feel like the V10F would have been a better choice for the Games. But all in all my favorite is still the Nikola for my commuting. The app with inmotion is currently better then others I've used this far. I really like on the Inmotion app how you can customize your wheel colors. Having that kind of control means a lot to me. I love playing with the aesthetic so that's what keeps me wanting the Inmotion wheels. But ironically because of how inmotion looks I got a Nikola because I was looking for a wheel that had that Inmotion swag with higher power and performance.
Nice review, very informative. It would also of been nice seeing you take each wheel up a flight of stairs. Robustness would be interesting to know, can they take falls reasonably well? How do they cope in the rain? ( we don't all live in California :) )
Love the detailed comparisons of these great wheels. I have not tried any of these, but if they sold them around here where I live, I would. I have the 18XL at the moment and love it so much, I cant wait for the snow to disappear. Would be great to have a wheel with a tire that could handle snow and ice. I want one. :)
Jeff here - KS-18L is definitely a favorite wheel of mine as well! Planning a comparison for larger 18" + wheels, so it will get some love from our channel in due time. :)
Hi! Where can I purchase those stands you have the wheels on?
They look like guitars stand
Where are popular places ppl ride in san diego? Will the V8F work in Penasquitos canyon going from one side to the other?
Really thorough and well done comparison! The only thing I would've liked to have added is your opinions on how the rider's weight would affect the wheel choice. Is the Nikola automatically the best choice for tall & heavy riders?
For tall and heavy riders, we would typically recommend a high powered wheel with the largest battery for the best performance and safety overall simply because a heavier payload is one of the most demanding tasks for a self balancing wheel especially if you want to ride fast or climb hills. Within the wheels discussed in this video, I'd recommend either KS-16X (slightly higher nominal W rating on the motor) or Nikola (slightly larger battery option), although the V10 is still very capable depending on what you're asking of it.
my question is with cut off have you ever experienced it. are the higher powered wheels more or less likely to cut off when in the highest stress demand , or do you think the cut off is mainly a function of depleted battery while asking for the high performance . ive had one cut off and man it hurt, it was low speed but i believe it was due to battery being under 50% let me know what you think thanks.
(I know this an old comment now) It depends as much on the wheel. For the most part The inmotion wont cut out on you, or it shouldn't unless something is not working right. With their tiltback and "underpowering" the top speed for the motor, there is plenty of headroom to hit its top speed without cutout. The nikola will just let you go until you fall on your face. But you can use EUC World and set a safety margin. I have 20% margin which warns me over bluetooth headphones when I hit about 34mph and that has been safe for me. Unlike Inmotion for example, I just push into it with no worries. The nikola should hit up to 40mph but you have no safety margin at that point so hitting a good size bump/pothole or trying to go uphill that fast could result in a cutout.
*16x is the best. I wish i had one. Currently i'm riding 18l.*
No mention in beginning of the v8f but that's in the title. hmm
Slower, smaller battery but a solid wheel
I thought the same thing.... I came here to hear and see their comments about the V8f specifically
Where does the Tesla V2 fit in with these 3?
I live in a hilly area in inverness ca and wanted to know would the KS x be a good choice? Thx
Hi Dennis, great question! The 16X's smaller wheel diameter when compared to 18" wheels makes it a great hill climber, and the wheel's electronics (motor, battery etc.) are more than up to snuff to handle hilly terrain.
Which one has the best water resistant?
Thanks. Good analysis.
Yesterday I tried Ks 18l you are excited but i had a bad felling,. Too heavy slow braking , too High in legs,
in difficult climbs it is hard to start again, in my question Is Ks 16x Is Better??
Should I get a 10f or step up to s18?
How's the water proofing on the 16x?
One thing none of these reviews never covers is size & weight of the rider..... I'm 6'3", 210 lb. How should this affect my choices?
Hi I'm new on this but I have done a lot of research and for heavy riders around 200lbs till 300lbs they recommend the Kingsong 16X, you can go to e-wheel website to find more info about it.
@@claudiablasi6137 Thanks Claudia; I've acquired the KS16s & it's handling the weight easily. It will take me up a pretty good slope without complaint. I've crashed it plenty of times and it's handled that too (I have taken more damage than the wheel).
wow the nikola looks huge in side profile
Yes, it is quite big for a 16" wheel - that's one of the trade offs for having such large battery capacity.
I have the INMOTION V10. The top speed is underwhelming. The fastest I have gone is 22 MPH. It has good torque off the line.
Misleading showing all 3 on the tabletop stands for a height comparison, since the V10F's wheel is sitting much lower in a different stand.
Also, listing the width dimensions of your wheels would be helpful, as my Tesla V2 really digs in my calves, unlike the slim Inmotion V8.
Speed isn't my main concern but at 74 i care about recovery from a fall. My swagroller is a year old now and 9.5 mph isn't ok anymore. The v8F will be my new ride i do believe.
Don, That’s really great to hear. I’m 67 and would like to get into riding an EUC. I currently rollerblade and snowboard, but was wondering if an EUC might be a step too far.
Much like riding a bicycle once you get it you get it. As long as your balance is still good and twisting around doesn't kill you odds are you can do it. Bumps are hell on the knees, standing in one spot hurts the feet till you are comfortable enough to move around later on. The v8f is a great starter wheel. I weigh 200lbs and it will pull me around for roughly 15miles with mixed terrain. Semi flat even further. But a very dependable wheel.
You guys should advertise your Black Friday deals! 10% is really good!
Damn, your way up north by Torrey Pines.... Is it cheaper living up towards that side of San Diego???!
The worst thing about the Nikola has got to be the lift handle. Its so awkward to lift if you dont use 2 hands. And with 2 hands you have to lift it to your chest basically to get a comfy carry on it. I have a V12 which is the same weight and can carry that up stairs with 1 hand just fine. So its definitely not a weight issue. I really like the Nikola though, its not a deal breaker in any way. Its a minor complaint but annoying when you have to lift it, which is not that often
How to maintain tyre air
Nice review
which is better? What to choose?
Kingsong better quality built
Watch the video of ks18xl some guy abusing it offroad through trails mud and didnt break
Nice
Inmotion quality is far better than king song..
Great video. I have the V10. I upgraded from the V8, my first EUC, after only 3 months. As soon as I learned to ride the V8, I wanted something a little more powerful. Now I’m eyeing the next ride. Do you have a NYC rep? I’d like to try the other two.
Did you get a new ride?
@@therealestmc85 No. I'm going to hold off for a while.
Is there a big difference between the v8 and v10. I'm getting one of them soon v8f is my thought. But?
I need a recommendation for my first wheel. I ride a one wheel currently.
Depends on what you want and how much cash you want to spend.
- Gotway tesla 2 is the cheapest (imo viable) option but a real fun quick steered wheel but low ground clearance (flat pedals).
- Gotway MSX 84V better clearance, more stable but not quite as quick steered, more range and power,
- Msx 100V even more power speed
- MSP Crazy torque and range,
- MSS (special modded wheel) INSANE speed but cost as 2 Msx84V or allmost 3 teslas and is not really a starter wheel (were looking at 75km/h top)
- Nikola is also nice, really stable but less quick manouvered than the MSX and MSP. Great range.
- Nikola + i actually doubt is a 16" wheel...look at the size vs the "real 16" wheels next to it) as far as i know its q 432mm wheel = 17" so a bit larger than the rest in the vid nut smaller than the msx, but still feels slower to control imo if it's the same tyre as rheystd Nikola
Dont know if you eneded up with anything, but I notice more people either give up or it never "Clicks" for them when they start on a big/heavy/fast wheel. Start slow with a small wheel like the V8F or something else small and light, to learn the fundamentals. Then sell it to a new beginner when you're done and buy something else.
Nice in depth video guys, thanks for all the thoughts. I'm curious why does InMotion not make an 18 inch wheel? There's obviously a big market for bigger, higher capacity wheels? I'm sure they could make a great large wheel, V12 much? 18 inch wheels are just so much more usable imho. Plus once you get used to a bigger wheel, there really isn't a desire to go back except for a couple circumstances. The new 18XL for example has a higher torque/quieter/more efficient motor then before and also doesn't limit your top speed as early as the 16X and the V10/F, so that being said I don't see the appeal for those smaller wheels at this point other then some nice torque gain and a bit of negligible weight savings which only exists on the V10/F. Also worth mentioning the Nikola handle breaks easily is not practical and the body is to wide for most to do a one handed carry. All this being said I really loved my V8 as my first wheel, it was and is a fantastic wheel!
18" Inmotion wheel already exists: V11 👌
@@ipsilon00 yo this was from a year ago...lol
@@Mpower31 I know, just in case haha
Good comparison...But I must say that ks16x should be better then it is..they ruined that beautifull wheel and not makeing it as intended...i hope they will lunch the 100v 16x next year!
Do you have one? I love my 16x. Not ruined at all. There are some minor trade-offs, like dust getting under the shell, and early firmware issues, but every wheel has its cons.
I wante 2 buy one..but read every forum for its problems....they should improve further and then I think I will buy one(it is on top of my list)
I know this is an old video, but if you ever make a new video, please compare charging time, lights, water resistance, REAL offroading capabilities, like MTB paths, not just a little drive on some flat grass...
Noted 🧐
Very informative but the main guy is long winded, I'd definitely like to see him get to the point like the guy on the right does. Just constructive criticism
Sorry, but the top is GW Tesla.
Hmmm 16x... it is... I like the middle road.
Little brown ring, where is the z10
It's a bad euc.
Ninebot , by engineering the Z 10 moved electric unicycles at least a decade into the future, but since they could not reach an agreement with the original euc patent holder they can’t keep cheap Kia rip offs like gotway and king song from stealing their intellectual property. That’s why they got out of the EUC game. To call it a bad wheel or a bad design shows a trump like level of ignorance
@@paulgreenlee7123 LOL.
Have you even tryed the z10?
It's bad but cause its a bad EUC. Way too wide wheel and heavy. Also have very bad quality, it tend to get faulty.
I wouldnt buy an $1500+ euc if it breaks on me after 500km.

You DO NEED wrist and elbow protection - at least!

Like it,,,,but my mine just ninebot one 😱😱😱😱
go big or go home. 18"+ wheels ride a lot better.
I need to carry it up and down over 50 stairs daily. Plus I only use it in the city. 18" feels great, but it's not ideal for me.
They felt the same as 16"
@@BigBoss-gb4cx Try offroad
Couldn't agree more, the 18XL is sooo good. Especially the new one with 2200W motor = quieter and more torque.
They may ride better, but they're sure as hell more inconvenient to lug around when you're not riding.
Too bad it rained ;) I have not rode for a while since I moved to Seattle :)
get rid of the music pleaseeee
is v10f not v8f
there was some information comparison of the v8f in this video

16 x is the best under 31 mph
Get on with it😡

The guy on the left is high or redundant af.
. af redundant or high is left the on guy The
I use my v8f in Michigan and in the snow. Well as a AWD wheel it sure has trouble with deep snow, ha haa I'm so funny, right?
38mph = 61km/h for the remaining 2Billion people that use the metric system (tip, say speed for both systems). So i guess for most people that means a bit less speed (not more) as i presume most people wheigh more than the guy describing the nikola +.
Personally im 95Kg (about 210 pounds in stone age metrics ;-) ) and I would guess that guy weighs about 65-70Kg max? so I am looking at 33mph maybe if the sun is shining and gf is waiting with dinner and blo-jo?
Tips for the Nikola (and most other wheels) - install EUC world and you can set ride performance (soft, medium, hard). If you go off-road you normally want (my friends - medium for range) hard to be able to catch up / compensate real quick, so i dont get the resemblance that hard is bad for offroad? Maybe you mean offroad is riding on grass? Offroad to me is in the woods (with the obstacles you meet there) on i.e. mountainbike tracks and semi fixed trails. So it would also be nice to know what you mean with offroad when doing such a otherwise nice presentation guys 👊
Imagine going to an American made video and then complaining about the system their country uses. Wow.
It's great that there's a wheel for everyone: Inmotion for women, King Song for LGBTQ and Gotway for men.
Not that that makes any sense lol, but the Nikola is flashier with its lights and clear case, the Kingsong looks like a rugged tank. I use the blue ring on my nikola that spins faster as you speed up. The rainbow leds is a bit too much for me lol
16X is unsafe. Nikola is very thick and inconvenient to carry; Plus version is also very expensive; otherwise amazing. V10F lacks in top speed. Pick your poison.
V10F is no competition to Nikola or 16X... try better Tesla better
@@MrFalkor81 disagree. It's not a race that wheels are competing in.
Just get an 18' wheel problem solved!
16X unsafe? Care to elaborate? I have over 800mi on mine with zero issues. 1.05 firmware.
