Well they went with the safe choice because it’s pretty relatable. We’ve all been there, done that, it’s part of growing up and frankly I’m glad this show portrays it for what it is
I think with Gailard he wasn’t tired but on the brink of death and didn’t have the strength to regenerate, Eren smashed the Jaw Titans nape multiple times with hardened fist, so him being able to walk out was a miracle itself imo
Exactly, he was literally missing half of his head, so he was pretty much dead at that point, and since he is dying anyways he decided not to die for nothing and save Reiner once again.
@@-CarlosDelgado Exactly people be dumb for missing this. He did not want his brother's sacrifice to be in vain. He saved Reiner because he was "better" than him. Porco went out with respect

18:20 Zeke was planning to shake hands with Eren as to show an agreement between the 2 of them, but since they were not sure what will happen if they actually touch, so Zeke instead threw him a ball. Eren dropping it is symbolized him not going with his plan.
Galliard's been getting his ass whooped since we met him. I don't think it's that much of a stretch that he had enough lol
I think he's the only person who loses more than a Reiner
he is the type of guy thinking he is the main character
Manga Galliard is a bad ass! They cut almost all of his fight scenes in the anime. He is literally the strongest and most dangerous shifter. They really did him dirty here. He constantly saves everybody else and bring Mikasa and co. to their limits.

im pretty sure the different titans have varying damage absortion thresholds. the armored is supposed to be the toughest of them so he can heal & absorb more. remember how they mentioned how frail the cart was when they attacked liberio. Pieck had to be saved & couldn't heal after jean hit her once with thunder spears, the jaw isn't that far from the cart in toughness. They also mention at some point that willpower has alot to do with the extent of their transformations hence why ymirs jaw was so fucked up and the reason reiners armor looked like handsome squidward when he transformed during their raid on marley. I think seeing marcel's memory kinda pooped porco and affected his willpower. And the armor is stronger than the jaw so he probably concluded that a brand new novice shifter with the armor would be kinda shitty to have in the middle of a war. So to me porco's sacrifice made complete sense
Just wanna point out that in the raid on liberio the cart titan took a lot more then one thunder spear she gets hit by multiple at once then the equipment on her back exploded
Poor Colt and Porco😭 also good for spotting out the meaning of the title “2 brothers” there’s 3 sets of 2 brothers in this episode Eren,Zeke,Marcel,Porco,Colt and Falco
So Porco was too tired and injured to heal in that moment. If he rested and was off the battlefield, yes, he could've survived, but obviously he doesn't have that luxury in the middle of a war. In that moment, since Falco was about to eat Reiner, he sacrificed himself for him.
Exactly, Porco got wrecked multiple times:
1) When Eren impaled him in ep 76
2) When Eren punched him in ep 76
3) When Zeke destroyed him using rocks
4) When Eren went for the neck and almost killed him

When Eren let the ball fall, it's symbolised Eren's disagree with Zeke's plan!
Little details in this show amazing...
Eren not catching the baseball Zeke tossed at him is symbolism for him not agreeing with the plan. That's why Zeke looked so shocked.
This episode is so intense...totally amazing! The changes in routes and feelings are out of this world, this anime is something else, it's like a LOTR of animations!
If your head was cut off, your brain is still alive & doesn’t realize it has no body to control until like 5-20 seconds later. Eren’s brain never died lol
Fun fact back in the day when ppl would get beheaded for punishments (execution) one dude told his friend to count how long his eyes would blink for after he was beheaded, he counted to about 30 secs

Porco sacrificed himself for Reiner, just like Marcel did when they were children. Giving up the Jaw to save the Armored yet again. Such a legendary mind blowing episode.

If we go back to part 1 of season 4, Porco was actually giving Eren alot of trouble and probably would've beat him 1v1. And if we look at him as a person, he was always very warm and helpful towards warrior candidates. He was only a dick to Reiner, which kinda made sense. IMO Galliard is way more interesting character, than someone as generic as Pieck.
Plus he had more character development than Annie lol despite limited screen time.
Zeke is very intelligent. The moment Eren didn't catch the baseball, he knew something was up. Because that symbolized them being on the same page. And so, Zeke wanted to believe Eren was on the same page as him, but in the back of his mind, he had doubts. And I like that he didn't have blind faith in Eren but approached the situation cautiously. He loves his brother so much that he's not even mad that he betrayed him. He still wants to help him out.
Jaw Titans love sacrificing themselves for Reiner. Zeke with the catch of the year. R.I.P. Colt and Porco. You were both amazing brothers.
Also, fun fact, some of the snippets of images before Eren got into the paths were actually cameos from volume extras in the manga. AKA GothKasa and Nerd Armin. Along with one image being the AOT men in a sauna. So that's nice.

For Galliard he was too injured to regenerate and maybe other titans could have eaten him so if Porco sacrificed himself it is not only because he did not want to die in vain but also because he wanted to save Reiner (compared to the sacrifice of his brother for Reiner precisely) and Falco.
Remember, you only heal if you have the will to keep living. Galliard lived to be a warrior, and, after not being chosen and later taking the jaw, lived to prove he was more capable than Reiner. Receiving the memories proved that he was always "better" than Reiner, so his reason to keep living became outweighed with him willing and ready to die to Falco. At least thats my thoughts

apparently you are still alive for a few seconds after being beheaded. i dunno if it was a myth or not but i remember reading somewhere that in like the middle ages? (i dunno some time when public beheadings were a thing) there was an experiment where they told some death row inmate to blink as much as he can after being beheaded. apparently he continued blinking for a while, like a few seconds before well... dying. apparently someone in the crowd of the public execution also said they saw an expression of recognition on the inmate's face as his head looked at him.
(At 15:24) Porco can't heal because, Eren pummeled him repeatedly in the nape, for bitting him in the ankle.

Actually when the actual body of the titan shifters are really injured they can't heal fast and can't transform especially after being in Titan form for so long (and being in a hard fight), it has happened with Ymir, Reiner, Peack, Eren, and in this episode Galliard. The plot armor of Reiner is real, but Galliard being unable to transform without enough time to heal is totally correct here, and he kinda gave up also after seeing Reiner's memories.

Most ppl seem to forget that Marley started up with the island because they need the natural resources there. killing the Eldian population is a bonus. Any plan they, Zeke or Eren comes up with has to factor that in. Simply removing titan powers won't stop anything.
Exactly why I always said Zeke's plan was shite. In the end he still wanted to use the rumbling against Marley's military might so why bother euthanizing the eldians? Its clear he was just doing it cus he has something against his dad so i can imagine him thinking "if I dont have dad, no one will become dad" lol

The suspence of eren having his head blown off is totally lost in the anime imo. The chapter ended there in the manga and for a month everyone went crazy. the memes exploded and some people still haven't forgiven Gabi til this day.
If u behead someone roughly a minute he's still alive it takes awhile for the blood to stop n the brain to process the end
