They were not able to help rengoku because they didn't have the capability to do that, at that point of time. Now, tanjiro was able to help Tengen is the result of his 4 months training (post mugen train events). Remember that the trio felt guilty for rengoku's death because they weren't able to contribute to the fight between rengoku and akaza due to the insane pace. The fact that now, they are able to keep up shows how much the trio have grown as demon slayers.
Yea definitely but even at this level they would have been no match for Akaza in my opinion. Hes number 3 lol these guys were 6. Im assuming here that there pretty wide gaps between the upper moons.
@@miguelmacias1322 you would be correct in assuming that, even if you put aside the fact that Akaza is much faster and stronger than Gyutaro, one of his blood demon arts that we saw in mugen train but isn't explained till later gives him an insane edge. dude is actually OP
I was just addressing their comment at 21.50 on why they seemed to work well with tengen in comparison to rengoku, where the trio did nothing.
@@miguelmacias1322 yea Akaza would beat them 4 with no difficulty at all if he wanted to. And this is not just a blank statement if some manga chapters will be animated u will understand that akaza was going at maybe 10% of his actual power against rengoku.

The voice acting, especially from Gyutaro, is absolutely insane. That Tengen vs Gyutaro fight will definetly be remembered

Honestly yea, the voice acting is incredible, the voice work was top teir, i watched Dub (cause thats just simply) my preference, and they also absolutely crushed it, the screams the en vas make during the big clash between tengen and gyutaro, is honestly god teir.

Here’s an explanation of Uzui's musical score as it was explained in the manga: Uzui has analyzed combat maneuvers to the point where he can read them like music sheets. He converts the rhythm of the enemies attack into sound so that every fight becomes a song. He hears repeated phrases and can attack between beats and during the rest, dancing with his opponent
and the reason why it took this long for him to read it was due to Gyutaros eratic and unpredictable fighting style

The cliffhangerest cliffhanger to have ever cliffhanged. The music, Tengen and the boys going all in and pulling it off before gyutaro is able to unleash his attack despite getting his head cut off. My heart is roaring with anxiety

Even though I've read the manga, I'm always stunned by how much the upper moons display just how insanely powerful they are compared to the lower moons. I cannot wait for the next few arcs to be animated!

Have to give major credit to tengen and inosuke. We saw from tanjiro's perspective how much the poison was affecting him almost immediately after being poisoned while inosokue had been poisoned for a while longer and still came back to finish off daki and tengen was poisoned at the very start of the battle.
Yes! Everyone was amazing, but Tengen and Inosuke really came in clutch.

They have different hair, different kimono, different scar in their head, different VA, and the fact that Shinjuro explained that sun breathing was the first breathing technique, then it showed the same figure which insinuates he's already somebody from way in the past

Amazing Discussion at the end, a lot of good points, and Morgan made a good point about Muzan and Tanjiros dad being alive at the same time, even if apparently that isn't his dad (which I didn't know either, damn u commenters)
75% of my friends (including me) cried a lil watching this, the ending was so dramatic, it definitely felt like a movie

When Tenzen went plus ultra against Gyutaro, it was then that I knew that this episode was going to go down as one of the best in Anime history.

the only information y'all need to know is the guy that daki see in her memory is not tanjiro father. Keep in mind that the demon(upper rank) much wayyy older than any of these hashira.

Seeing their reaction when inosuke came back, it's not too bad to say that inosuke was right when he said " i can get as many girl as i want" in Season 1 to Zenitsu
If you remember the demon with the Arrows, even after Tanjiro cut off his head he was still able to use his Blood Demon Art to throw him around. The arrows didn't disappear until AFTER the whole body disintegrated.
This episode was amazing the fighting and animation was beyond crazy

The emotion, the intensity, the heavy breathing, the bullet sweating, your brain working simultaneous scenarios and calculations, sitting at the edge of your couch... it's quite fascinating how an anime episode can put you through all that lol.

God like animation for the *WEAKEST* Upper Moon, I wonder what the higher moons will be animated like.
Gyutaro demonstrates the most powerful one-handed pushup of all time! One hand pulling the Kunai out of his thigh while the other hand is pushing his body up off the ground with a SWORD on the back of his neck! The sheer intensity of the scenes in this episode sealed the deal for me. Favorite anime of all time!

I really hope you guys get someone who's read the manga to screen through the comments before reading them (even Patreon comments; there are people who'd love to give up 5 dollars to spoil shows for people). For a group of people that love reading, they all sure seem to be very unintelligent. I don't know why they think it's appropriate to even explain things like that, as if they're like helping people? Lmao. It's very clearly a spoiler. Like Morgan is 100% right, nothing in the show has ever clarified whether or not the person is Tanjirou's father. They look identical, sound identical... so it's a pretty safe assumption for many to assume it's Tanjiro's father. I hope that's just the first, and even more so, last spoiler you guys get. I'd consider it pretty minor and it shouldn't affect your enjoyment.
Keep anything demon slayer related out of your youtube/tiktok searches too... There's plenty of YT channels that just put spoilers in their thumbnails and titles where there's really nothing you can do about it if it comes up, same with tiktoks - people just post a tiktok of manga panels without any spoiler warning and you have no chance to look away before you understand what you're looking at. Good luck!

This season of the show has lots of cliffhangers of any show I watch.

@@Shizar7 it can. Because fire does not mean flame. The Japanese name for Sun breathing is called "Hi no kokyū" or “火の呼吸" as well as "日の呼吸". It includes the character “火" meaning fire or "日" meaning sun, both of which are pronounced the same way. Flame breathing, however, includes "炎" (honō) meaning flame.
The first time Tanjiro's scar changed was due to being hit by the morphed demon during the entrance exam. It wasn't due to any power. It was just an injury over another injury.
In this fight the scar also did not change. It was covered by a mark. He still has the same scar, there is just a new mysterious mark over it right now.

And finally growing up in the mountains can bring one to practice Mithradatism which is the practice of slowly poisoning yourself to gain immunity. Also, animals that evolved to eat and be around dearly poisons and diseases often are immune to many forms of both. Bat's for example are as close to disease and poison immune that animals can get because of their diet and evolution.
This ep is GOATED of course the animation is flames but the music and voice acting from tengen, tanjiro and gyutaro (especially when he is bullying tanjiro) is sooo good. Best demon slayer ep for sure, i dont even think its close.
Tengen was a shinobi before he became a demon slayer. So his senses are on another level, prolly how he knew something was amiss when Gyutaro exploded.
in the beginning of next episode, it shows that tengen seen the rotating circular slashes coming out of gyutaro's body

This episode was so amazing! I know other anime's have great stories, but I love the simple story with hype graphics that demon slayer provides. Idk how deep the manga gets but I'm loving this show
just don't ever read the manga, its no where near the anime.
people complained about attack on titan being "normie tier" anime during its first season and most of the second season but those idiots aren't saying shit anymore, so if you enjoy something as is thats perfectly fine and dont need to compare it

Well, the main reason why it ends like these was because the Ending was about the town, But now there is no more Town so...
Inosuke's triumphant return is the one moment that I see reactors really getting hyped for the most. It's so cool. It's gives the audience such an amazing sense of relief.
Gyutaro was preparing to use an attack, if you remember the arrow demon from S1 even with the head cut off they don't die right away.
Definitely be very careful about spoilers, was skimming comments and saw something, maybe a few somethings. Hate that it's even a problem. Yes, folks, I read the manga too, don't have to answer lingering questions for them. Let reactors and other fans who haven't read the manga enjoy the story as it unfolds. And that goes for any show, movie, whatever.
What can be said, up to now we wouldn't know much about the mysterious figure from what's in the show, nor further context if any is to be had. Someone thinks X character is whomever? Let them! It's also not like some characters have had a bunch of screen time either. And trying to distinguish any voice actor for any character with brief screen time is tricky. Would not recommend looking into that, as could lead to unintentional spoilers there. There are some clues in the show, but nothing definitive beyond theorizing. Not going to point out what, because if a reactor/fan hasn't noticed something, there's always second viewings or more (on their own, if so inclined) after the entire series wraps to notice things maybe not understood initially. Or have sudden realizations while watching. Which is good storytelling.

Tengen created and masters his musical score techique using his superhuman hearing ability that helps to read the moveset of his opponents what a Chaddd ....

As someone who has accidentally ODed on caffeine pills before you can be awake & aware while your heart stops for 5-6 minutes at a time . By the way it's wield as hell.
While Tanjiro was cutting his head off, Gyutaro did say he needed to use his "Rotating Circular Slashes" move, so I think his body was already beginning that move when his head was removed, then it went off just a couple seconds later (though it seemed like a couple minutes later because of the way time stood still for a while at that moment). I love that it took a full season to find and defeat an upper rank demon. Teaming up with a different hashira to find and kill a different upper rank demon each season would be a cool way to do the series.
I love how every time Tanjiro is about to die or like hits his limit one of his family members basically just says “get yo ass up” 😂

You can deduce this by the fact that the Upper moons existed for more than 100 years.
If the guy Muzan is scared of is still alive you know what he will do to these upper demons?
Also Muzan can survive forever just like all the demons as long as they aren't killed. it's pretty much well established that Demons don't age when they get turned.
