Thanks J Rod! Well, I have a lead foot in the city but I am averaging 34.8 MPG currently. The highway mileage is around 42-44 MPG at around 70-75 MPH. Also, I just finished replacing the Dashboard with Anthracite Wood and it looks wicked! I left the Carbonite for the doors. If you are considering, you will not regret it one bit. I had an X5 diesel as a loaner while my dash was being installed and I was so sad. The seats are also extremely comfortable BUT you need to get the M Sport package. The seats are way better. It's a $700.00 option and the wagon will have to be ordered with it. Dealers out here tell me most customers want to spend the $700.00 on other options, so they don't stock cars with it. Me, I wouldn't mind spending the money if it makes a difference in ride quality. Cheers!
Out of curiosity, what kind of/size dogs do you have? I really love these cars, but am doubtful my lab and husky would fit in the trunk. Great review! Thanks
Hey Ben, so I have a Georgia Dingo (Golden Retriever/Chow Mix) and a Pekingese. The larger dog is 60lbs and the small one is 17 lbs. Large dog in the "wayback" and small one in the backseat since they don't get along. For you, man....both dogs in the "wayback" could be tight. I used to have 2 large dogs and in that instance I had a dog "taco" that I put in the back seat where both dogs went and put my luggage in the "wayback". It worked fine and therefore it is absolutely feasible. Because of the price of these wagons and since you love bimmers, another option could be the BMW X5 Diesel. It is wicked and only a few dollars more. But, sometimes Ben...you have to suffer to be beautiful! So, I say go for it. Get the wagon. You will never regret it and it is like riding on rails my friend. I LOVE mine still.
It is so sad that we can't even open/close our own tailgate any longer. I can't ever think of a time in the last 24 years of driving where I needed the tailgate to open on its own.
+johnnnewmex I thought the same thing until I used it for awhile. I would say that for me, the automatic lift gate is quite great John. However, I use the rear hatch window (which I did not show in this video) more than the lift gate. The lift gate is nice when you have a ton of groceries in hand and can swipe your foot under the car for the lift gate to open. I do that quite a lot.
+saganian1 Hey there! They are run flats. However, the tires maintain great pressure and I have had zero issues. I live in a city filled with potholes and no blowouts. But, definitely worth taking into mind when purchasing. I bought tire/rim protection when getting the car as this was my first time with run flat tires. So far, so good....
Sweet, thanks. I had a '11 MINI turbo with run flats, due to stiff suspension i siwtched to regular tires and carried a liquid flat fix with the car in order to improve ride quality. Love your car and the review, awesome job, thanks for postting, my next vehicle would be awd diesel, looks like this could be a good fit

I just picked my 2015 328D 3 days ago, in love with it.
The funny thing is in Canada we do not have the rear window shades with the M sport package...

James Norris haha yes we do receive sun... I talked to the dealer, and they are not really good at what they are supposed to do.
Is the car still running? That is by far the loudest diesel I have ever heard, and that includes Volkswagen.
How many miles did you get on a full tank of gas?? I was told 600-700 but I fell like that's reaching.
yeah that is, i'd say 475-550 is the norm for most drivers. that figure sounds like strictly highway at 60-70mph
