today, July 11th 2022 i modded in 3.74 and installed vita homebrew browser, guys be patient, it took like 3 minutes to appear the UI after the black screen, but i have downloaded 4 apps so far, 100% working. thank you GameHead Nes, thanks to you i achieved modding my psvita!

Just got 2 2tb sd cards and a game card to sd adapter plus sd to vita, installing EVERYTHING!! Also got a vita 2000 for $80 and a 1000 for $120 so excited!!

Cool Video. Just recently acquired a first gen vita and successfully modded/expanded the memory capacity. Duck hunt was a favourite classic of mine and this remake is pretty cool. I have to say though while having the option of touch screen option for aiming at the ducks sounds useful, in my opinion that would make it wayyy too easy. We gotta work for the meal you know.

I have modded several Vita’s, put all sorts of emulators and games on the systems, but I have never, EVER been able to get the Homebrew Browser to work. That app is just janky af.

2023 march 5th, the first time when my eyes saw the pkgk store alongside my 16gb memory i felt heaven
Trust me, mod your Vita even if you are an anti-piracy because the game experience you have on this system will be different (in a positive connotation) than you play it on a non-mod Vita. As an example:
- Your game will run better with overclock
- Your game will be more fun with cheats
- You can dump your games on SD2VITA so you don't have to worry about your copy being lost or damaged.
- The Japanese games that you have now can be played with the English patch (though not all Japanese games get the English patch)
Just modded mine, downloaded some of the emulators but the games won't play. What am I doing wrong
Is the game carts still be used even if the Vita is modded?
@@chrishejos3864 Yes, game cart slot still can be use on modded Vita if you don't use SD2VITA.
@@yogabudiwidiantoro3762 I surrender modding my vita cuz alot errors that I've encountered😭 and then I tried to play my game cart all of them have been restarted. It kinda hurts cuz it so hassle playing it until the end especially God of war and my other games🤧
I don't get how people can be anti piracy for deprecated software. Sony are no longer supporting the vita at all. I'll happily pay for a new modern game but I'm not paying for games that are 15 plus years old.
This especially applies to games that I've bought multiple times over the years

Hey man the home brew app isn’t loading for me it’s just on the black screen
Hold down the power button for an extended period of time and the “safe” boot menu shows up. After that his restart the system and it should boot normally. Had to do it a few times since the touch screen wouldn’t work or like you I got a black screen

Hi, how do you solve the issue when you have network error: the requested URL returned error: 404 not found? This appears whenever i open the homebrew app.
Press ok and wait a few minutes it will load up
my homebrew browser is taking longer than 2 minutes to load, why is it taking so long?

for people having problems with the homebrew browser, for me it wasn't also working. It showed an error, loaded 2 screens and stayed in a black screen. I redid the steps where you install its and homebrew and it kinda worked? Rn I cant search for games, but I have been able to instal some ports and emulators. Sometimes it fails and closes, some ports work, others not really but it's better than nothing.
It's been a lot down lately,so I recommend installing "Better Homebrew Browser" or "VitaDB Downloader" as alternatives.
Im having trouble with the homebrew browser, it opens and i can search things but after a few seconds i get and error message. (C2-12828-1) sometimes it says saved core file succeeded or it says saved core file failed. I click ok and then it takes me out of the application and i have to open the browser again. Any solutions?

So in your tutorial for modding the Vita a message popped up about not being able to earn trophies. Was that just for that instance or can you not earn trophies anymore from Vita games once it's modded? I'm a trophy hunter and bought a Vita recently because I have 150+ games from PS+ over the years, and figured I might as well start earning Platinums on Vita too...but would love to mod it, but not at the risk of losing trophies. In other words, does the Vita still function as a Vita when using it normally?
It's only for the application. After jail breaking you still have access to PSN and will be able to earn trophies.
I am hoping to get old school GBA games on a modded PS Vita down the road. The prices for them have spiked due to the impeding eShop shutdown.

I use PKGJ but my Persona 4 Golden won't open correctly. It gets stuck on the screen with all the characters' faces. But when I push a button, I can hear the menu. The screen just won't change.
What’s the limit on pirating games on this thing? Can it play the Deadpool Game or older versions of Minecraft? Also can it keep save data?

I modded mine yesterday, but I haven't installed anything on it yet. I know I can use PGKJ (or something like that) but I don't think that app has any Undubbed JPRGs or English-patched Japan-exclusive games. I don't know how you manually install games.

ok im a little late to this video but i just modded mine and opened Adrenaline- how are your text and icons so crisp? I have been fiddling with the settings trying to get it that clear but all of the menu text is pixelated at the edges for me.
I've modded several handhelds in the past and I've come to the conclusion that if the modding is just to play Roms I get an empty feeling from the experience. I have several handhelds that play the physical games and I get the most satisfaction out of those. Just my experience. Your experiences may vary. 😊

Absolutely zero risk of being banned no one has ever been banned so far from using a modded vita
It's been two years I bought the Vita and hacked it and I never got banned. Just make sure you play fair on online mode for example playing online multiplayer game without cheat.
Do you have to make a dummy account to mod your vita or can you use your personal account? Will it mess anything up if the console is modded?
Nope,it shouldn't mess up anything about the PSN account or anything like that.

Absolutely, when I first modded mine I only had the Vita memory stick.

Yes even though in my situation even before I modded, my ps4 games run very laggy on my Vita even though it's streaming and I have good internet, so don't know what the issue really is

Close the notification and still wait , it will still come up. Can take over 2minutes sometimes.
