- Here is BBC Monday Night Club's debate about Oldham Athletic's relegation from the EFL, discussing Oldham's decline for last 28 years, particularly last 4 years under its current ownership. This is another latest example of why I have been screaming along with many football fans for an independent regulator to be involved to stop clubs being mismanaged and went or on verge of going bust.
List of clubs that currently or been in same position:
Bury FC (expelled in 2019)
Macclesfield Town (liquidated in 2020)
Chester City (liquidated in 2010)
Port Vale
Chesterfield
Millwall
Bolton Wanderers
Blackpool
Coventry City
Morecambe
Wrexham
Birmingham City
Reading
Derby County
Charlton Athletic
Leeds United
Southampton
Hull City
AFC Bournemouth
Brighton & Hove Albion
Portsmouth

So many more problems at the club than what was discussed, but always grateful for reports like this that highlight the severe state of the club, how difficult it is for the fans and why the protests taking place are absolutely necessary!
Couldn't agree more, its disgusting and needs to stop. The fact owners just take over for their own greed and treat fans like customers without any care in the world is absolutely disgraceful. Derby County are latest club that are struggling off the field with Kirchner's deal set to collapse.
We need more reports like this. Ownerships like these are a travesty, regardless of who you support.
I'm Sure Charlton Won't Be Like Oldham Being Relegated To The National League
Straight down again !!! Heheh
