Second time with this one. Still the image of a lone woman in power armour ,holding up a collapsing building all alone , hunts me.
You know what ? She kinda resembles Celestine from the Sisters of battle. Make of it what you will.

This is a humanity that understands that when you extend an open palm in friendship you gain much, and when you throw a closed fist in conquest you lose far more than you realize.
"The humans are in danger. We must defend them! Gather the ships! Ready the shells! This shall be our gift to them. Our evolution into beings of action. Into beings who can defend those who can defend them."
Here's something to consider. If they made ships out of their own bodies, how much of themselves did they sacrifice? Depending on how large the Children of The Stars are, they could've made a fleet large enough to destroy MULTIPLE solar systems AT THE SAME TIME. Humanity truly has the greatest friends :)
It's like when the Ents uprooted themselves to help the fight in Lord of The Rings. That shit sends chills down my spine. Lobe moments like that
@@Br0ck3n this is old but it was stated one of their "thoughts" stretched for a lightweek. I think they managed to create ships inside their vast selves, and since they *are* electrical impulses and chemical reactions, my headcanon is that they transformed themselves from loose matter into sentient several lightday long vessels of war which run on those same processes. Think big enough to disrupt the orbit of moons. nearby ships being dragged into them by gravity and spite, smashed against hulls that eclipse all else in sight, even in space.
Just wanted to say, those "children of the stars" people the humans defended... they described being made of star stuff, humans putting them into more obviously active bodies, and putting them into shells. Did humanity just befriend the freaking C'TAN!?
We're human. If it looks cute: pack-bond it. If it can rip your face off (but has big cute eyes): pack-bond it. If it could be an enemy... pack-bond it. Even if others think it's ugly, someone else will love it, so...: pack-bond it.

Humans will bond with anything, which makes them terrifying when they ask for help
"demons run when a good man goes to war" had a similar plot. all the people/faction the doctor help across time and space for centuries came when it was him asking for their help
I remember one of his friends/companions saying something along the lines of: "If he's calling in all his favors, then you'd better prepare/be worried"
I really appreciate the whole 'a human was kind to essentially a real-life npc when they met, so when the A.I. overmind of that world hears humanity is looking like a candle in a stiff breeze, doc holiday's it up like 'i'm your huckleberry'. Bravo.

And this is why you give kindness no matter if enemy or neutral, because you never know what that will mean to them and it may just end up saving you or your children in return. That is if you truly need a selfish reason to be kind to others in the first place.

I looked in surprise and bafflement "well how many showed up?"
My comms officer looked over to me with tears in his eyes and a smile on his face "sir it's... it's everyone" no sooner had he said that did all the ships come out of hyperspace, and I couldn't help the smile on my face.
This is the ideal future for humanity. Although things aren't like this ever in real life we can still strive towards being this
there's always that chance that when we see there's others besides us out there that we unify more and in doing so realise the irresponsibility of war yet the necessity to be capable of it as one and yadda yadda
ehh not that ideal either, its clear humanity still is warring and has its many petty squables, but if there is trully sentient life out there, this is one of the most probable outcomes if we learn to be sympathetic

This was new...
Who says that Humanity wasn't the Heros and Saviors? Each Xeno species responded due to the actions of Humanity. How we stood in the breach for them so they could grow and be better than they were before Humanity found them. Acts of kindness, mercy, compassion, and bravery all, done by humans, for those not human are why the Xeno's came to Sol to aid Humanity. Humanity, without thought, are the ones that created Unity among the species of the Orion Arm.
This was a very affecting story. Well written and narrated. Thanks.

Hey man, been listening to your channel a lot the past few days, I'm enjoying it as I've never heard anything about this stuff before, BUT, could I ask that you slow your speech down a tiny bit, sometimes you muddle a whole sentence into hat sounds like 3 long words, and without reading along it's hard to follow what is going on when I'm having to keep trying to work out what was said and in turn don't hear what is said next.

And basically, this is what Star Trek was like, before the current dark-times of the woke nightmare (and their talentless hack-writers). Earth moving out into space, making friends, fighting with some (but doing so honourably) and thereby winning more friends... so that when the local bully empire tries something, they all band together... and (in Star Trek's case) the Federation was born. My type of Sci-Fi. Humans being bad-ass not because we're the supersoldiers of the universe... just because we're being us. Like a good fight, but like a good mate far more.
