I love how these are basically the DC28 air muscle without the overly complicated electronic brush roll height adjustment setup. These and well as the DC17's are probably the best performing Dyson uprights out there, not even the modern Ball machines can match these.
Interesting units these are. I've been wanting a DC28 and a DC17, but for now one of my DC14 Units are gonna have to do. The main issue I have with this Dyson upright design is how hard they are to work on, other than that, they perform quite well.
Not nearly as harsh, yet also cleans better. It's a big improvement. I don't see any evidence in favor of the position that the 17 cleans better. It simply doesn't. This is a much better machine
I have one too, it’s from the same year (2008) and it’s in excellent shape, I did replace the brush bar and soleplate on it and now it’s like mint almost. If I find a replacement brush bar and soleplate on EBay or Mercari I’ll let you know.

It seems to be a mixture of the DC17 and the DC33! The body of the 17 with the cyclones of a 33.

Yes, that clear mini turbine tool is for a cylinder/canister. I have it for my DC23 Turbinehead Animal. It works great.
