Great reaction to this masterpiece, and Nightwish and Floor's outstanding performance of it (she still wasn't a member of Nightwish at that time). I know that at least before Human :||: Nature was released Floor stated this was the most challenging song in the Nightwish catalogue to sing - I wonder if that is still the case since Shoemaker? That is another that you are going to love, when you get around to it, and is also one which is worth studying the background to beforehand. Briefly, Eugene Merle Shoemaker was a scientist who was to have been the first civilian to set foot on the moon but was diagnosed with Addison's Disease during his astronaut training. Despite this disappointment, he continued in assisting in astronaut training as well as in his own fields of geology and astronomy, and in particular their interaction through asteroid impacts (which he'd hoped to study on the moon where there is no erosion to confuse matters). He founded the science of astrogeology. As a mark of respect, NASA carried some of his ashes to the moon on the Lunar Prospector mission, and he is, therefore, the only person to be buried on a celestial body other than earth, in the crater which bears his name, close to the lunar south pole.

Вокал конечно не совсем такой, как у Найтвиш, и может даже немного отпугнуть, но по факту не все так страшно, если можно разобрать слова, значит точно не всё так плохо. По стилю, если Найтвиш это практически чистый Симфоник метал, то Wintersun это смесь из death, progressive, black, symphonic и ещё невесть каких поджанров, но всё вместе это звучит весьма и весьма эпичненько, под стать какому-нибудь Game Of The Thrones или какому-нибудь похожему фильму.
Hi Dasha! I really like your NW reactions every time! Can you beleve that Floor was not a fix band member at this time? She started singing in the band about 7-8 months bevore during the US tour because Anette, the 2nd singer of NW, get ill and she had to lern the whole setlist in 48 houres! You can find a video about that what's called "please lern the setlist in 48 houres". You can also find a video what's called "the Denver debacle" about that show where Anette get ill, you should look that for yourself if you have some time, you will be surprised who was singing in that show. During the US tour up to this conzert in Wacken the band and all fans saw what a great singer Floor Jansen is and 99% of the fans fell in love with her, me too! Tuomas said after Floor become the new fix singer for NW "now she's at home" and that he isn't limited anymore because Floor can sing what- and however she wants. В ней играют три сестры, самой младшей на данный момент 16 лет. У них вышло два альбома и один EP в статусе независимой группы и сейчас готовится третий, первый после подписания на лейбл. Очень интересный трек и клип о проблемах современного мира.
