One of the things I like about the driving portion of your videos is it really gives a good snapshot of what your neck of the woods looks like. I enjoy it a LOT.
Some of the most enjoyable parts of these videos is Ron explains just about everything hes going to be doing to get the driver out of the situation there in being an owner operator for 22 years I can respect that
Put a stake in the ground there, with a giant MidWest towing sign. I have a feeling this won’t be the last time Mr. Ron will be on-site. Great job sir!!!
The rotator made that job look easy. Heck, I expected you to need the spades for the initial pull, but nope! "I get muddy for a living!" 😀 And that trucker knew what he was doing, too...even if he did manage to find a sinkhole. But, as you keep saying, stuff like this happens to everyone.
@@kb1kos The tator is a complex but extremely capable machine, Ron is an extremely skilled and capable operator, together I don't think there's a single vehicle in the world he couldn't recover. Edit: That is within the weight limit of the tator's equipment.
I now find myself watching flatbed to see how they have the cars tied down and I have seen them without the tires having the tires strapped. My daughter laughs and asked how come I think I know so much? I told her I learned from you Mr Ron. Thank you for teaching this old lady a new trick.
I've never been to that part of Missouri, and my travels are unlikely to take me there, so it's good to see. I could deal with living there. It's lovely country.
Not the 'car-tastrophe' that it could have been!! No people hurt, no cars 'bent', just a bit of mud on the road. Just the way you like 'em, simple!! Great job, Ron. Keep safe and God bless.
I’ll add my vote to include some of the initial driving footage, especially if it is on local roads. Not interested in interstate footage unless, of course, you are on an “expedite” call - in which case we want to see it all!
Hi Ron I’m from the uk and have done heavy recovery over here but watching your videos and learn new things like the Peterbilt is just like a Daf truck and found out there under the same engine manufacturer Paccar any way love watching all vids very interesting and inspirational thank you for the best content I’ve seen on a TH-cam channel hope you and love ones are all okay in difficult times we’re in all the best looking forward to the next vid
I am Iris from Vancouver Washington I’m a young 75. I like to see your area also and I like the way you speak to me respectfully to everyone. You are one of the first ones to openly praise the LordI love that you’re a leader to Christ and many will follow. I do like your whole show. Thank you Ron
I love the driving parts of the videos because it reminds me of when my husband and I drove over the road. Brings back really good memories for me. He passed away 3 yrs ago Oct 7.
I like the driving segments being left in. On longer videos, it does make sense to speed them up somewhat. What I really like though, is coded response driving sections. I would happily watch a 2 hour coded response video from you, even if there’s no towing involved. Over in the UK, we don’t have tow trucks that are able to run code so it’s always fascinating to me to watch it happen. Obviously, I’m here for the towing, but the driving is just as good to watch, even if you don’t say much because you’re focusing on driving, and I wouldn’t expect any commentary at all during a coded response.
I love the driving videos (I'm from U.K and the VAST U.S.A spaces just amaze me.) Just leave a timestamp so people can fast forward if they want to, otherwise just comment on everything you see, tell us about your breakfast, what you heard in the bar last night. I come to hear you speak as much as to watch you pull trucks from the dirt.
Another job well done, Ron! What a remark “ I get muddy for a living”, Watching your videos is like I am there doing the job with you!! It looks so real! Keep up the good work! God bless!
Glad you took my "words of wisdom" the right way. As we all say " He who teaches their skill Knows their own way is best". Take care and God bless you and yours too. Jim.
i think the driving part gives a certain feel of how careful ron is about his responsibilities are. just recovery is only half of the job. getting there can be a chore too! nice work ron always enjoy the ride along.
So far the best part of my day is watching a new Ron Pratt video. I’m currently broke down in AZ. Heck Ron drove to the location, and got the driver out in less time than it takes my company just reply to my call.. Stay safe, stay healthy, and god bless.

For some it would be the views ( limited as they are ) of the area Ron is driving in, others like the learning how long he has to drive to reach the job location.
From an Australian point of view, the driving part of the vid is interesting to watch your highways and countryside. Since my daughter is in Alabama at the moment, I am enjoying learning about USA and the wonderful people who are so hard working. Been watching Ron for a long time. Thanks.
I for one enjoy the ride to the accident. We get to see what your little corner of America looks like! Thank you for putting it in your video today. Stay safe and may God bless you and yours!
This was the best video ever. I am driving on the highway in my super quit sedan listening to those people engine sounds (driving portion) pretending its my car. Loved it
This one was a good one. On Fridays Alex always wakes up very early and watches the videos. Margaret (his teacher this year) has been using the videos to teach Alex reading; which the school district has never done with him. She uses the text you put up and they go over the words together. Sort of funny her husband retired as a tow truck operator for a local company.
Thank you thank you for leaving the driving portion in. It wad almost therapeutic in a sense. Stay safe. Tell your wife and family hi. Much love from South Hutchinson Kansas
My money is always on the Tator for winning a Tug of War. You and the Tator made that job look way too easy. Thanks for sharing and stay safe out there.
Yeah not a far drive at all. What maybe 5 miles or so (give or take a few miles lol) the tator had to strain a bit on this one lol not too bad though he's had harder pulls (like the big steel pipe truck over turned llol now THAT was a hard pull for all 3 trucks). The main thing is as you said nothing damaged (including the rotator & your self) you go home safe & sound & ready for the next adventure. God bless Ron & EVERYONE there at Midwest Truck may you all always come home safe & sound
Hey Ron, if you are taking a poll, I say keep the driving portion of the videos in the final cut. MO is one of my favorite states to drive through and I appreciate seeing the beautiful scenery in your videos. As I told you before, being retired, I drive (in a 4 wheeler) from Los Angeles to PGH as many times as I can each year to see my adult kids in the Burgh. With this stupid virus keeping us all in place, I haven't made the cross country drive for over 11 months. I'm getting antsy. God Bless, you sir.
Hi Ron, we like the ride along video part because you make it feel like we are there with you and what it would be like if we were doing the job. Nice touch... That part is actually relaxing. It’s nice to see what your part of the world looks like along the way compared to what we see around our parts. Our price of gas is around $2.45/gal and we saw from another video you posted your price of gas was around $1.54/gal. Unreal… Also, most of the land around your area is nice & flat compared to the hills and valleys around our area which makes it a little more challenging around winter time. Looks really nice where you all live. We also like how you detail everything out i.e. what your using, why your using it and the pros and cons of the job. You make the job enjoyable no matter what you’re up against… Always enjoy your videos Ron & we learn a lot to watching you too. Nice work again on this one and thanks for posting your videos… Wish we were there working with you… If you ever have some kind of co-op program where an individual could come out and work with you to learn the trade, I’d be the first to sign up…!
LOVE the driving portion! I used to watch a guy play Euro/American Truck Simulator (fun game by the way)just so I could listen to the turbos, the engine, airbrakes....all that. So yeah, anytime you can squeeze in some drive time (especially if there's rain, I know I'm different 😁) that would be awesome.
I wouldn't worry about people not wanting to see the driving. Its still an interesting perspective and I'm sure most do want to see it. Anyone that doesn't can skip ahead easy enough.
I was just online looking for a used KIA vehicle. Didn't find one in my price range. At least that was relatively easy albeit the mud. I did enjoy the drive there. Always enjoy watching the scene unfold. Love it all.
Just another day at the office for the Tator didn’t even make a grunt one easy pull, Ron hope you your family and the Midwest crew have a good and safe weekend
As always got to see and hear a true professional ron pratt doing his thing he and tator go so well together wish i could go and visit ron and the crew at midwest trucks maybe even go on a job as a bystander or even to help before i pass away RON tell your wife happy birthday get her some red roses and have a date nite with her great job from you and tator. Always look foward to your next video god bless you and your family and the whole crew at midwest trucks sincerely benton from texas waiting till next friday for another video lolmay god bless and protect all of you the family and the crew at mid west trucks
I like the driving bits because I'm in the UK and your country is so different to here and many of the vehicles are also very different-adds extra interest for us foreigners
another great job done by the master of towing!!!!!thanks ron great to see you keep up the good work prayers and well wishes to you and all the crew at MIDWEST TRUCK!!!!!!
Just the other night leaving the emergency room I thought it was the pain meds messing with me. ( no I wasn’t driving lol!) I was already a bit nervous because a roundabout was coming up and my wife sucks with roundabouts, yes even with morphine I in me I was nervous 😂. As we approached a deputy and trooper were directing traffic away from the roundabout (phew) There was a car hauler full of new Amazon Prime vans stuck in the middle of the roundabout on the island part of it. Not exactly sure how he managed that! Then thought I was tripping because I saw your truck! )I thoughtWhat the heck is he doing here! Then saw it was Kitsap Towing lol. Didn’t make sense why you’d be all the way out here in Washington State 🤔 but then again the er gave me a bunch of morphine so I was seeing what I wanted to see lol.
#1 sign of constant watching Ron's videos -- I'm figuring out how I would rig the pull! NOTE: My idea was rig both white/blue with the snatch blocks low. Guess that's why I'm not a tow operator.
Great video Ron. You make all look so easy. Yet, I know at times our initial plans fail and we regroup. It is good to see your action and thought process during the recovery. Take care my friend and stay safe.
Good Morning Ron from Cape Town South Africa. Just love watching your shows. Find it so interesting how recoveries are done. Just keep videos the way you doing it. Regards
I personally don't care for the driving part. I look at it as it's there if you want it, otherwise it's so easy to skip ahead and get to the real good stuff. keep them in Ron.
Yes please leave the driving to the scene in the video. I love riding along with you and your crew. I hope your wife doesn’t mind. Ha Ha. God bless and stay safe. Shirley Temple
Hi Ron iv been with you since nerley the beginning of your TH-cam journey got to say iv loved every single video do you watch hour of power it's on at 7 am on Sunday in England ma the Lord watch over you and your crew in this dangerous job and keep you safe
I've had a chance over the past number of months to binge watch many of your videos. So much so I can tell you where most of your equipment is stored and what techniques you might use on a recovery. LOL I've even said to the TV you need this piece of equipment or to go it this way. And you have listened. :) Always enjoy your work and your faith.
I'm the first one gets to comment Ron that was a great video I love the way that you talk through stuff of how you're going to do it that's pretty neat I thought the same thing that you would use the strap but then the bumper would have cut it so great choice
+1 for driving portions, fast-foward is not a new tech but I'd add the time-stamps in the video so we can see at what time something happens. Thank you for the great video Ron this one was unique for your channel
Hey Ron, you might need more boxes. That side box with the chain carriage especially gets more and more filled with every video. I remember a couple years ago you could see clean through to the other side when you would reach up to the block shelves. Maybe the next truck for the fleet with be a box truck just for carrying all the extra bits for the Rotator. You could get Ethan to drive it and follow you around all day.
One of the things I like about the driving portion of your videos is it really gives a good snapshot of what your neck of the woods looks like. I enjoy it a LOT.
I enjoy being in the cab with you an seeing what you see,

Rotator Ron is a professional with what he does and one of the best ive ever seen at it too have a great day now
and he is so polite - what a gentleman !
Ron what kind of cell phone holder do you have in that truck I can’t seem to find any decent ones
It's alright - I get muddy for a living! Really like that attitude, so positive and so unlike a lot of others. Be safe and watch your "6."
Put a stake in the ground there, with a giant MidWest towing sign. I have a feeling this won’t be the last time Mr. Ron will be on-site. Great job sir!!!
By the looks of it he was one of the first to not make it
Another fantastic job. Bless you....... Blessings. 🙏👠👠
The rotator made that job look easy. Heck, I expected you to need the spades for the initial pull, but nope!
"I get muddy for a living!" 😀
And that trucker knew what he was doing, too...even if he did manage to find a sinkhole. But, as you keep saying, stuff like this happens to everyone.
RON makes the job look easy. The rotator is a complex machine.
@@kb1kos That too, though it wouldn't have looked quite so easy with the Western Star or 4024. He'd still have gotten it done.

In a small way, we learn to get to know your area when you leave the driving in. It is nice to see the scenery around where you live.
I've never been to that part of Missouri, and my travels are unlikely to take me there, so it's good to see. I could deal with living there. It's lovely country.
It adds to the experience when we have enough info to follow the drive on Google maps.
If u come thru that truckstop has some good breakfast i always stop when i come thru coming off hometime :)
Not the 'car-tastrophe' that it could have been!! No people hurt, no cars 'bent', just a bit of mud on the road. Just the way you like 'em, simple!! Great job, Ron. Keep safe and God bless.
This is why knowing "car-tug-raphy" is important ;)
3:57 yes, please continue to include the driving segments and great video as always!
I agree. Getting there is half the fun
You know when Ron says OHHH NOO someone is boogered up
That's what I thought too. But as always, Mr Smooth got it handled. Smooth, methodical, respectful, and effective.
"How long have you been doing this?" "About 15 minutes... I just got here". A honest answer for a question of that sorts.
Leaving the driving in is half the fun, especially the camera placement, it almost a ......simulator!
It’s nice to see the scenery as well as all the technical aspects to your work and the teamwork you and your employees exhibit to each other.
Nothing starts the day quite like a Ron Pratt video! Have a good weekend Ron! Scooter time!
Was up Corey
I’ll add my vote to include some of the initial driving footage, especially if it is on local roads. Not interested in interstate footage unless, of course, you are on an “expedite” call - in which case we want to see it all!

PACCAR owns both Peterbilt and DAF.
I think the biggest differences would be the cab-over vs the long nose and the flipped driving positions.
Paccar makes the cab and chassis the engine is most likely a Cummins sometimes a kitty

Friday video from Ron Pratt! And what a video it turned out to be!!! Keep up the good work and be safe out there, God bless you and yours.
