the coolest logo was xv, because it changes when you beat the game, and stays that way in the main menue, but the story really made me cry, its a beautiful story
Lol, that FFXV logo is a cheap-trick. If it didn't have that slight effect which Noctis appearing at the end, it would be a typical logo like Squall and Rinoa of FFVIII. The logo for FFXV should be about brotherhood, since the whole plot explores that more than the meh love story that doesn't even expand. The smartest and beautiful logo with absolute meaning to the whole story plot would definitely be FF13. The FF13 logo can also be seen as the protagonist Lightning riding Odin with the mission to save Serah, who has her Snow's pendant; or Fang and Vanille over Cocoon turning into crystal after reaching Ragnarok.
I beat the game last fall and yeah, it’s really cool what they did to weave the logo into the story. Very creative and moving even if I didn’t love the ending.
5:44 Two words for FF8's love story: cultural differences. Hugging is not much of a big deal in the US, but for Japanese people, it's very intimate, almost moreso than actual kissing. So after Rinoa attempts to sacrifice herself and Squall finally gets out of his emotional rut to do something about it, their hug was supposed to wrap that all up. Rinoa is saved, Squall's less of a cold-hearted jackass, now time to kick sorceress ass. It's overall a lot more subtle than Americans are used to, but as far as I'm concerned, the "love" element of the plot was still solid.
Joshua Reynolds First off, Squall was an orphan. That's problematic enough for most kids. Next, he was still very young when he got himself emotionally attached to Ellone, one of the other orphans he was living with. When she suddenly disappeared with no explanation, it hurt him deeply and he ended up feeling abandoned yet again. He was already introverted to begin with, so it didn't help him when the one connection he made with someone fell through because of concerns he was too young to understand. Still, these are real life issues people face, and he had to deal with childhood trauma and then some. Fast forward when he enters into a mercenary academy before he even learns his multiplication tables, then he starts junctioning guardian forces onto him which have the noted side effects of long term memory loss from over-use, he ended up forgetting most of his childhood memories, but that didn't erase the feelings of abandonment he felt. He just forgot their source. Now, combine that with teenage angst and being in a stressful occupation where you are trained to do whatever it takes to complete your mission, even if it means giving up your life, and you have a very cold-hearted person who, rather than address his problems, tries to bury them all away so that he can be the best weapon he can be, to the point he needs the rest of the party, especially Rinoa, to finally pull him out of his shell and break down his defenses. People are too quick to call Squall whiny because we can read his inside thoughts, where even then, he wasn't whiny, just emotionally stunted, and for VERY good reason. Outwardly though, he was even more stoic than Cloud, who at least had his fair share of adorkable moments in the main game. FF8 was overall an exercise in deconstructing the "child soldier" trope (i.e. these kids are seriously messed up in the head) and they could all use quite a lot of therapy, and that's not a bad thing.
belias360 fair enough I guess it just doesn't come off as stoic since they essentially live a wealthy up class lifestyle I guess I just mistook it as him being an emo
Belias nailed it. Squall has abandonment issues. He literally suffers from mental health issues. Yet people rag on him for 'being emo' - which doesn't make sense anyway because the game came out before 'being emo' was even a thing.
Joshua Reynolds There is a difference between angst and emo. Sure you had goths in the 80s but even then there's a distinct difference between goths and emos. Emo as a cultural phenomenon took goth culture and tweaked it by adding bright colours and elements of punk to its fashion and 'modernising' its music for a younger generation. Besides, I think emo is mostly (if not exclusively) a sub-genre of Western culture. As Squall was created by the Japanese, if he follows any sub-genre of culture it'd be the J-rock culture.
FFXV has to be the best logo in my opinion. The fact that the meaning of it is revealed in the end and how this whole time it was actually unfinished was breathtaking. If you finished the game then I'm sure you understand how.
@@SemekiIzuio im years late but I’d like to think the logo depicts Etro, the goddess prominent in the Fabula Nova Crystallis. And I’ve read somewhere that Etro plays important role in Versus XIII. But it could be Stella, we’ll never know.
FFVIII's entire story revolves around love and romance. Laguna and Raine, Rinoa and Seifer, Squall and Rinoa, Edea and Cid. Outside the time manipulation and memory loss, the story follows many love stories.
Me: "Boy, I can't wait to see what he says about FF8's logo!" *gets treated to backhanded insults about Squall and his relationship with RInoa* Me: "Why do u do this"
I'm not a fan of 8 but one thing I liked was there story and how they changed and the logo always reminds me of it and it makes me feel warm inside lol
How did you not buy Squall and Rinoas love story?! it's the best part of FF8. an emotionally reserved and damaged guy falls for the last person he ever thought he would. they go from bickering to cuddling. my 11 year old mind was blown in 1999.
This story was great. It actually pisses me off that this game wasn't as well received as others, as we'll probably never see the remake VII is getting. My first Final Fantasy was VII and I actually disliked it so much that I almost never got VIII. Glad I decided to give it a shot, because it wound up being my favorite one in the series.
The one problem I had with Squall/Rinoa romance is how Squall does a 180 on his feelings for Rinoa without build-up. I can see Rinoa falling for him, but Squall showed no signs of falling for her. One minute he's annoyed by her, the next he's suddenly in love with her. Didn't work for me.
Because he realised if he's gonna get a bitch in his life, may as well be one who cares for him and not his brooding Mannerisms? The 90's was terrible for incorporating Brooding Hero male and bubbly but understanding female relationships...
Master of Masters I find the story to be kind of dull. There are aspects I do like, such as the Ancients, mako-infused warriors...but I get really bored with the story. I especially dislike playing most of 1st disc, namely Midgar. The materia system is great. I also like the large weapon selections. I don't much care for most of the characters, and the mommy complex Sephiroth has kinda bugs me. The Weapon monsters are on point, though. FF8's draw mechanic is annoying to me, but it has more to do with time consumption than the mechanic itself. In fact, should they remake it someday, a similar system to that in FF15 would be an improvement. Junctioning didn't bug me because I don't much care to use magic. Rarely ever do, even in the games that revolve more around magic characters (IX and X, for instance). So, I guess VIII kinda resonates well for someone of my play style. But I understand how it isn't for everyone. I just wish it could get more love so it could receive the same treatment as VII as regards additional content.
Anyone else notice how the logo in FFXV is surrounded by darkness and has Luna resting on it, but then after you beat the game it's surrounded by light and has noctis next to her? Fucking feels...
@@Vapedealerband you've got it mixed up. The voice acting was amazing whilst the leveling system sucked. Seriously I have to kill 20 adamantoises to move to one node which is probably empty. On top of that all of the enemies give you shitty status effects and your weapons do fuck all making it even harder to level up
I loved FF8's love story. It's a pretty believable love story mainly if you're able to empathise with Squall. Which I think is a problem with western gamers mainly from what I notice, they tend to not empathise with characters like Squall.
I can see his POV, but as a 19 year old (at the time) it was too reminiscent of my own attitude and attitudes of a lot of late '90s teens. It did make me kinda realize that's how I was, which is impressive for a 1999 game to do, but his character combined w the Draw system turned me off for the most part.
FF8 could have benefited more from a voice cast than any other FF in my opinion. It would have made the love story a lot easier to believe. Also, I loved the card game and Laguna and Raine's story and the gardens were beautiful and the GF system. Although drawing spells got a little tedious, but I did it anyway.
Arsio12 name a single reason why the two strongest and also the least downtrodden of all of the main hero's (minus the hero of light and noctis) both lived middle class lives while growing up cloud in the village with Tina and squall in his magic school neither of them had any sort of real struggle before the story begins and don't give me tell bs about Zachary because cloud didn't know until later. Squall on the other hand has many friends goes to school excels at school and combat and the closest thing he has to trouble pre 8 is a frienemy.
Joshua Reynolds And that is the main problem with people's mindset: physical complications, like livelihood and troubles can be compared. Not psychological trauma like depression or abandonment As for Cloud: if you actually replay or look back at FF7 Cloud does not start off whinny, he's just a careless douche of a mercenary who does things for money with a softspot for Tifa and a grudge over Sephiroth because he burned down his home and killed his family. He only became whinny after he was manipulated by Sephiroth to kill Aerith, found out he was potentially a clone, the life he thought to have led up till then was a lie (Zack thing). Before all that Cloud wasn't all that whinny, just a guy who didn't care about the world, just personal agendas, which changed as he knew more about himself and as a result had a lot of mental trauma and became, as you call it, whinny. As for Squall: he grew up in an orphanage, with a feeling of abandonment from his parents like most of the orphans did. Squall being a crybaby of a child, clung to the only family he had left, and when she too left, it psychologically scarred a boy of 5, who had no friends (he was in the same orphanage as the others, but he wasn't friends) and as a result of this psychological scarring on a child caused this child prodigy to grow up a loner who hated attachments and thus grew up with no friends.
SPOILER FOR FF 15 > > > > > > >> > The logo is lunafreya who is leaning against a chair, once you finish the game the logo changes to show luna leaning against noctis, who is sitting on his throne, the scene happens right at the very end of the game and it fades into the logo
Kamina o mito Games never exactly get me emotional( Hell, for some reason I barely even teared up at the end of Telltale's Walking Dead) but FFXV nearly made me cry, what with Noctis and Luna's afterlife wedding, to Noctis's reunion with the guys at the end of the character credits.
There's been a theory at pitioss ruins of the story of the gods of blah blah blah why ifrit betrayed the other gods blah blah blah but actually it's a long story but I pretty much think that the woman in the logo is eos aka: ifrit's wife
Laser Time yeah I've been wondering what the drawing behind the logo was for a while after I beat the game. Then I found it on google images vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/finalfantasy/images/f/f9/Crisis_Core_%E2%80%93_Final_Fantasy_VII_Logo.PNG/revision/latest?cb=20061112195555
XIII-2's logo is both Caius Ballad and Lightning in her Knight of Etro attire, symbolizing the entirety of Serah's journey to find Lightning through time, while being confronted by Caius.
I always read the comments on Final Fantasy related videos cause it's always funny to read the battles about which FF is the best. We all like/dislike different things guys and that's okay. No need to chop each other's heads off with words. We love FF, that's all that should matter!
@@alexk3393 I've heard why XIII is bad (ALOT) by the old FF heads but I've heard why it can be good. I haven't played it yet so I can't be a judge but I'm sure I'll enjoy it once I play it. I usually do. :)
Tsubasa Hei-Lan Absolutely worth it. Probably best game I've played since the last of us. I should've specified what I meant by the frowny ending. The ending isn't bad, it's just emotional. The ending is one of the best video game endings I've seen in a while.
im glad to read it, you know i think the "beta concept" of the game and history was just perfect. darker and cruel , but the final product isnt bad at all. noct is not soooo baddass but a petry decent hero the only thing i miss is the concept of noctis vs stella, a tragic love but man. that final its just a masterpiece, and the logo change thing was awesome! im happy to see this final fantasy at least playable!
Completely disagree about FF8. Definitely top 3 final fantasies and everything about it was great. FF8, FF10 and FF4 were the best ones. Although you can't really say any of them are bad.. Just some are slightly better than others. Everyone hated FF13 so much but honestly just the part between beginning-middle sucked. It had an incredible story though.
FF8 was amazing. the love story pinnacles when they are both floating out in empty space together. revisit that shit. its really quite a masterpiece edit- forgot to say awesome stuff on explaining the logos
♞ Go Fuck Yourself ♞ I'm so excited, but also extremely embarrassed. I accidentally preordered the PS4 version last Sunday, and I don't own a PS4 (I wish I did though. I have an Xbox instead. It's a good console but I'm starting to favor Sony over Microsoft) I had to email game stop and tell them what I did. The game is just sitting in my room laughing at how stupid I am 😂
The FFXV is supposedly the goddess etro in the world of the fabula nova crystalis series which FFXIII was part of. But since they removed that fabula nova crystalis theme from the series, they still retained the goddess concept but it won't be the goddess etro. Etro is supposedly the one-winged goddess who oversees the unseen world (aka. the land of the dead) and the original concept was that in the world of Eos, namely the kingdom of insonmia, Etro was their protector. That's as far as I can get
TheSingingBUn You would be correct except now it looks like it's Eos greek goddess of the dawn(with all the dawn themes flying everywhere), plus this is a hint as Eos' sister is Selene Goddess of the moon and their father Hyperion the King of Light. Now I'm not too sure about you but that sounds a bit like Luna and Noctis
game nerd Welp. I was close. But you know, rumor has it that the plot of xv or at least the original plan of the vrses xiii plot was that it was influenced by the hamlet story (this was a rumor back since 2010ish that gamespot had speculated) but what are the chances of discarding that plot altogether? anyways. if what you say is most certainly a noct and luna reference then its sounds to me that we are either talking about another tale of star-crossed lover situation or something likened to that of Ophelia's relationship with Hamlet being similar to that of Noctis and Luna.... I don't know how the hell I got to that conclusion tbh.... just rambling my thoughts on this end.
TheSingingBUn I thinks it's more of a direct link in that both Noct and Luna will die, Luna will turn into the goddess of the moon while Noctis will turn into this prophesied "king of light" or it could be as simple as him becoming one of the Lucii but then why have a prophesy?
I loved the Squall and Rinoa love story :). It went pretty well for me, i love how Rinoa is being cute towards Squall and him ignoring it. But when she lost consciousness for a while he missed her, her voice and everything and that scene where he piggyback her to the bridge while sunset. aww come on. It's better than CLoud and Tifa romance, atleast for me. The best is FFX love story tho
InnerFire6213 How is it cringy? Anyways I'm Asian though so I don't really know what you westerners like or dislike. My overall favorite story was 9 with Zidane and Garnet/Dagger closely followed by 8. 10, 12 and 13 were okay and I find 7 to be adequate. Can't comment on the rest because I've only beaten the ones I listed above, the rest I've either played and not finish or not played at all.
lets just hope they stay with the origin story and dont try like goosebumps or star wars feminist naggy shit and make 18 + game i need to see the blood on shinra stars and the mini skirt and big boobs of tiffa lul
is ok to make female lead charates what i am sayng is transform a alread 10/10 story in a garbage because of the standard of the mimimi comunity. "ohh my god Cynd of FF15 is too damn sex, sexist" do you understand now the diference ? And if your rage comment i think you is the one that cant stand free speech i just make mine if you dont like well is your right to not like it o.o soo chill dude
PissywhinebucketSquall. nO. I enjoy SQUALL. Honestly, FFVIII is very underrated and takes a lot of crap from the fans. In my opinion, I love the thought of sorceress and even though the time part is slightly confusing and means that somewhere in the future when Rinoa dies she passes it onto someone who presumably passes it onto Ultimecia at some point. But when you really wrap your head around it, it’s quite a nice story with the relationship between Squall and Rinoa.
Joseph Rush Yeah and there was a spoiler warning at the beginning of the video so I can't be mad. I heard it was awful so I didn't touch it until now that FF15 is out and my curiosity got the best of me. I don't think the game could possibly be any more linear, but it's somehow pretty relaxing. I just run around hitting the same 3 buttons.
MysteryPerson852 the game is linear for a reason, the main characters believe that they are bound to a certain faith / roll to fulfill, and that their path has been decided for them when they were branded as l'cie.
FFVIII is my favorite and I love Squall. I relate to him as a character so much and that's why it's sad to see just how much hate the world has for people like us. "Pissy whine bucket"? Look at Noctis. I also appreciate the beautiful love story that is very real; how Rinoa and co. eventually got through to Squall and melted his ice-cold personality after going through both negative & positive parts of their journey.
Kris Dusk Luna I know this a really long time for a reply, but I’m glad you said that! I finished VIII pretty recently and I was surprised to see how many people dislike Squall after all of his character development. Besides, Squall and Rinoa are goals.
I found Laguna's love story much better in FF8. The song "eyes on me: that plays at the end is sung by Laguna's love interest and the lyrics are her feelings for him. Heck I think they should of had a Final Fantasy that was only about Laguna and his gang.
RyviusRan Laguna is definitely a fave of mine, but Squall is also essential to his story (although I know you argued about Laguna's romance over Squall's). I really love the tie in's between Laguna and Squall.
I have played through the game at least 3 times, and i don't think it was. They mention recycling souls, certainly, but i don't recall them ever making references to crystals being in charge of that. If they do it is very brief and easy to miss.
Heavensward's logo more than likely features Nidhogg, as he is the main aggressor in the Dragonsong War. It also features the city of Ishgard in the background, as it a major location introduced in the expansion, and amidst the pointed lances, a tiny Dragoon mid-jumping, either the player or Estinien Wyrmblood, a central character in the story of both Heavensward and the Dragoon job questline before the expansion. Also, each major content patch, both between A Realm Reborn and Heavensward and between Heavensward and the upcoming Stormblood, each have logos of their own but not in the same style so I won't bother getting into that. Stormblood also has a pretty rad logo, featuring Ala Mhigan Resistance fighters.
Thanks i nearly wanted to write it for my own :P but to mention it, ther will be a new Add On and i hope it will be AWESOME like Heeavensward ! =) The Trailer let me hope
Given Midgardsormr and Nidhogg's roles in the story, I'd say it's likely to be Nidhogg. It might not look 100% like the Nidhogg we have in the game, but then the art often takes certain liberties with the designs. I mean I wouldn't have said the two faces in the FFXIII logo look anything at all like Vanille and Fang.
FF1: The first logo for the NES title was a simple blue design of katakana in Japan with dark-red lettering in the West. For the re-release of the game Final Fantasy Origins, however, Amano's design centered around the Warrior of Light in blue, reflecting the original Japanese design. It was changed once again in 2007, putting him in a different pose for the 20th-Anniversary version of the game on PSP. FF2: The first logo for the sequel game was a light dragon-like design with italic lettering and bright purple fading into a blue. The redesign by Amano for Origins centered around Emperor Matheus, the main antagonist of the game, in pink. The 20th-Anniversary version of the design was a full-body design of The Emperor and has been used ever since. FF3: Like the previous title, FF3’s logo had the same dragon-like design but was gold with three columns in the background. Amano's redesign for the Nintendo DS re-release of the game features an unknown Warrior of Light in Green and Blue, wielding two swords. FF4: Kain Highwind, the Dragoon, is Amano's focus in the logo of the fourth game. He poses in the shape of the number four in Arabic numerals and was the first game that Amano worked on for the designs. The West's version of the game remained in the same style as the first Final Fantasy, as it was known as Final Fantasy II (the previous two games were not released outside of Japan). The Nintendo DS redesign features the Man in Black instead. FF4 Interlude: The logo for the game is just the standard Final Fantasy logo with "-Interlude-" written beneath it in cursive. It is perhaps the least remarkable Final Fantasy logo. FF4 After Years: The logo for the game features the game's two moons with the new moon of the game being significantly larger than the other. FF5: The logo for this entry features a Wind Drake, the friendly dragon race that Dragoons are usually associated with. FF6: The logo for the game everywhere else, including for any re-releases, is Amano's illustration of Terra on top of a Magiteck Armor. Before Crisis: The logo is made up of the two playable characters for the mobile game with the logo's "O" made of what is thought to be Materia. CC: The logo simply has a blue sky with some clouds in the background. OG FF7: It features an illustration of the Meteor in the game, with the color carefully chosen to reflect the Lifestream and Mako energy. DOC: A representation of Cerberus, the creature Vincent named his Gun after. 7R: The logo is the same as the OG but made more metallic and 3D in nature. FF7 FS: Using the same Meteor-like logo, Midgard's ruins are shown similarly to the Advent Children logo but with the Shinra company logo beside the game's subtitle. FF7 EC: The Buster Sword is shown plunged into the ground to the left of the title. Part of the ground also underlines Final Fantasy VII. FF8: Squall and Rinoa are the subjects of the game's logo as it was specially requested of Amano. The pose can be seen during the opening cinematic or at the Sorceress Memorial in the game. The colors reflect the sunset in the background as Rinoa falls into Squall's arms. FF9: The illustration for FF9’s logo depicts the Crystal from the game in a bright, golden color, echoed by the Roman Numerals' shade of gold. FF10: Yuna is shown performing a Sending using the same shades as when Pyreflies flock around the bodies of those who have passed. The scene is directly taken from Killika Port in the game. FF10-2: It Features the Three Main Characters: Yuna,Rikku and Paine FF11: Five warriors, each of a different race, are depicted in the game's illustration. They are thought to be an army from the Crystal War. Each of the characters represents a playable race within the MMO. FF12: Judge Gabranth is the focus of the logo with a large, vibrant brushstroke on the right. The pose can be seen inside the game's Sky Fortress Bahamut. Zodiac Job System: All five Judge Magisters are illustrated in a darkened, statue-esque pose for this title. Revenant Wings: Designed by Isamu Kamikokuryo, the blue-green logo for the DS title is of the Galbana. FF13: The logo features Cocoon being held up by Fang, Ragnarok, and Vanille as the pillar is replaced by the outline of Serah's pendant. This illustration is what influenced Cocoon's appearance in the game. FF13-2: The logo shows pink-shaded Lightning posed beside Caius Ballad. LR: The logo replaces the usual typeface and Amano illustration with a Crystal that has lightning texture over it. FF14: Several warriors with their weapons drawn make up the logo for Final Fantasy XIV. Note that a different color was used for when the game was relaunched. The "O" used is on fire to represent A Realm Reborn's meteor that would change the world for the relaunch. Heavensward: The logo for the expansion shows Ishgardian soldiers fighting a dragon (symbolizing the Dragonsong War) with the city of Ishgard in the background. FF14 Stormblood: The background of the logo is a flag with the foreground being taken up by Lyse Hext, The Warrior of Light, Raubahn, and other revolutionaries leading the Ala Mhigan Revolution. Shadowbringers: The logo is a side profile of a Dark Knight that symbolizes the change in the Warrior of Light. Endwalker: displays a ship flying towards the Moon with light eminating over the horizon. FF15: The Logo is of a winged Oracle sleeping with her head over her arms. A crystal orb behind her represents the sun or the moon. The shape of the logo represents a closed eye and refers to the game's theme song "Somnus." Beating the game will add to the logo, showing Noctis sleeping beside her. FF16: It features two summons, or Eikons, fighting each other. They are Phoenix and Ifrit.
The ff8 love story thing worked on me when I was like 13-14. In fact, because of the impact it had on my then, I still look back on the story fondly now. I think it's one of those nostalgia things probably, but it was pretty impactful on me at that point. Also, Squall is a textbook tsundere - cool on the outside but open on the inside. This is a very common trope in Japanese media, so I guess it makes sense why it wouldn't land in the US, but for whatever reason it made sense to me at the time when I played it.
ryan phillips you can get the gist of the story if you understand the meaning behind the logo. Kinda like how the meteor in ff vii or the judges in ff xii
It was one of the few romances in video games that I think was executed almost perfectly actually. I liked it the first time I played VIII (when I was like 13~), and it's still my favourite FF and my favourite love story in a video game 10 years later.
zombiefriend It was ok. I was 8 when I beat ffviii. Very shojo-esque school life kinda stuff(at least while youre in garden). I didnt get that Sqaull is Laguna's son and Rinoa is the daughter of that singing chick in Delling city until years later replaying it. But even then the story wasnt meaningful at all to me as its still hard to grasp. Squall is still annoying and Rinoa just too cliche of a character for me.
re: the FFXIV: Heavensward logo, you learn pretty early on into the content that the city in the background is Ishgard, the new city-state that much of the expansion content revolves around, and the dragon is the main antagonist of the expansion, which you also learn early on, is Nidhogg. Also the Stormblood logo is now out, but there's only speculation for that one so far, but it does look a lot like an entire army on that one, probably because we're looking to take back Ala Mhigo from Imperial control in this expansion.
Please play ffviii without being prejudice or affected by other people's opinion. And you will appreciate a arty difference in the series. Pissed me off when I got to The ffviii part. 👎
I liked the story but I didn't like the draw and junction system, much preferred the materia system of 7 and traditional job system of most of the others
It really captures the whole idea when you know that the name Final Fantasy came about because they expected there to be one game, but it blew up and now it just won't stop.
The FFIII logo is representing the "Warriors of THE Light" aka the 'Onion' Knights from the original 1990 game, though it doesn't make sense for the 2006 DS remake unless it was repurposed as a representation of Luneth.
How is FF8's love story bad? Rinoa literally became Ultimecia so she could be with Squall. Love in Japan is a very subtle thing, different from that of western countries.
I have not gotten to finish the game and only always get as far as just outside the academy, but I've heard it's the best love story, I have played ffx tho and I can imagine its 2 different stories so they end in 2 different scenarios, I really really liked ffx. Ff8 logo is good because it is good, it's attractive and doesnt really bullshit around and tells you theres a romantic story in it, or it's a big part of it, colors hold well with its warm red which is often related to romance, the art style is also complimented with the serif ff font simple, and elegant. I'm a graphic designer.
A lot of people seem to miss that X's logo, which obviously has Yuna represented in her water dance scene as you pointed out, is actually opposed by Sin. The right side is a depiction not of water but of the games main threat and reason for the worlds plight.
Best logo - XV. Second best - VII. XV for obvious reasons. But VII just has so much going in to the meteor. Everything revolves around that meteor, from discovering it is a possibility all the way to completely trying to stop it.
It was Etro in Versus XIII. In the change of name and moving as far away from the lore as possible they changed the goddess. But the logo I believe was mentioned is still the same goddess, said goddess is just no longer Etro. Proof of this would be in the Genesis artwork shown at the end of the Episode Duscae demo, the goddess in that painting looks like the logo.
Arsio12 Luna is an oracle isn't she? Don't oracles have a specific god that they are connected to? Maybe the logo is the goddess that she's tied to, or maybe Luna taking the form of the goddess. Someone else said it's just Luna resting her head on Noctis' throne, but that seems too simple haha. And plus it doesn't explain the snake/dragon at the bottom
asanti2539 Luna seems to be connected to all the gods, or at least the summons which seem godlike in this game. But I'm pretty sure to logo is the primary goddess (or Gentiana, she seems mysterious enough). It was Etro, seems like a logical progression that it still is, just under a different name and role.
9:30 I think it's supposed to be Nidhogg (the main enemy in Heavensward, one of the child of Midgardsormr) and the city in the back is Ishgard. It hints the end of the expension and of the Dragonsong war :)
Still had impact but i kind of saw it coming where as FFVII caught me totally by suprise as a kid. Still reminded me of it though and they did it well.
Billy Bitchcakes Dunno if you completed the game yet but the ending left me gob smacked and is just so so sad compared to the upbeat road trip vibe at the start.
Not me. At least Aeris was in close proximity to the party. The character that eats it in the Leviathan fight is one we've seen very little of, so it was hard for me to form any sort of emotional connection. That said, I did feel bad for Noctis, so there's that, I suppose.
Yeah what happens with Noctis is a first for Final Fantasy games ( i think) i cant recall that ever happening to the main character other than ten. However they made a sequel to that which kind of retconned what happened with Tidus so it doesn't count. Loved the game just so many of the story points were just glanced over. Like Promptus being an MT that just came out of nowhere and was never mentioned again. The reason for that though is because they are obviously releasing the cut parts into episode DLC for each character so we have to pay extra for the full story which is bullshit. However im a Final Fantasy whore so i threw my money at the season pass at the first opportunity ha.
Final Fantasy VIII was an incredible game, the love story is damned good too I think. The loner Squall who feels he doesn't need help, friends and least of all love. It's a long damned game, so you see him slowly grow a fondness for his 'friends' (albeit like a brotherly military bond which happens when you have no choice but to have comrades in battle) He encounters the very bubbly and cheerful Rinoa on a very small seemingly 'waste of time' mission as 'SeeD' mercenaries are specially trained for bigger more important missions, Squall doesn't particularly see eye to eye with her and her naive look on the world and well conflicts with her a lot and they're pretty much opposites. Fast forward a bit and after many missions with comrades and Rinoa in tow, Squall opens up to his comrades more even starts to worry about them on their Trabia Mission and Rinoa notices this. Fast forward some more and Rinoa is caught in the midst of this battle to save the world from Sorceress Ultimecia as the plot thickens rather quick, as soon as Rinoa goes catatonic after being possessed, Squall undergoes an inner conflict, suddenly he feels sadness and fear that Rinoa actually might never wake, things hes never aloud himself to feel for another, at least since childhood. He was too busy reminding himself he doesn't need anyone, he can take care of himself, he didn't notice the attachment that grew between him and his comrades and more so Rinoa, the one person who put up with him and still tried to get him to open up. Squall does everything in his power to find a way to bring her out of this comatose state and eventually sends himself and Rinoa to space to find a way to fix her. She gets possessed again and when she snaps out of it shes floating in space, probably never to be found again as the people in the space station are urgently evacuating and heading back to earth. Squall hops in a suit and heads out after he, one of the most gut wrenching scenes in the game. Shortly after they're aboard an adrift Ragnarok airship, defeat the creatures within and eventually, perhaps partially they open up to each other, a beautiful scene. When they land Rinoa has to be taken to the 'Sorceress memorial' as she now possesses sorceress powers and must be contained for safety, Squall, the military leader knows protocol and doesn't object until his friends berate him into seeing reason and they fly to sorceress memorial, the scientists there object and try to deter Squall but he draws his blade and cuts the chamber open where Rinoa is being held and that's when she comes to embrace him and Squall (for the first damned time) reciprocates and embraces right back, giving in to his feelings for her, because of the stoic, lone wolf character his was throughout the game who would refuse help and connection with others finally lets go and holds her close, the fear and sadness he felt when she was in a coma awoke something and yeah. In summation it is one of the greatest love stories I had ever witnessed, watching it play out over 3 discs really gives you a large bit of story to get to see it unfold. Tirade over.
SPOILERS AHEAD: FFXV FFXV symbol is first the deceased Lunafreya but when finishing the game..King Noctis appears sitting on his throne next to Luna..technically showing you the ending of the game lmao
In FF8, the real focus of the game is actually the relationship between Squall and Rinoa rather than the story of how they save the world. In most game the hero will have to face many hardships, overcome his past, make trustworthy friends, in order to achieve his objectives (like saving the world). In FF8 it's reversed : The main focus of the game is to see Squall evolve and grow as a person throught his relationships, and all the obstacles he will face while trying to save the world are there for him to confront himself. It was what the creators of the game intended and the logo is perfectly clear about that. In a way, it's the most subject centered logo of all the serie !
Fun fact RE: the Heavensward logo. It is actually a painting that can be seen in game depicting the fall of Ratatoskr, one of the 7 great Wyrms. The logo is Thordan and his knights of the round slaying Ratatoskr, the event that set the background for the Dragonsong War.
In a way ff7 was a great game for the new generation of rpg players but for me im an old school player since i was in elementary, in japan my first ff game was ff4 they were all good but i really liked the ones that gave me good memories. To me 7 was jus a passing ff game like 8, played it once/twice and that was it, i thought 7 was guna b like 6 but character customization wasn't on par
Actually most people are either. A) 1. FF 7 2. Anything or B) 1. FF 6 2. Anything But taste is subjective so anything is fine. Although there are games in the series which I don't understand how anyone could put on 1st place.
I’ve always thought that the FFXV logo is symbolism that the Leviathan is what causes Lunafreya’s death. Because it showed up, she died (Turning point). Her resting is her death. Then, of course, it transforms.
No, but yes. The meaning of that XV logo was not about the Leviathan, it was Luna sleeping on the main character, Noctis's leg while sitting on the throne. You can find out after beating the game, I mean the wedding ending scene.
The FFVIII logo has way more impact if you believe in Rhinoa=Edea theory. And for the record, I think it has a lot of sense when you go over the evidence. For those wo don't know what I'm talking about, look for the video here on TH-cam. You don't need me to give you the link. Anyway, nice video.
It's not obvious. And I'm not saying the theory is true. It's a THEORY. There are some clues in the game that support it but certainly not confirm it. Look for the video.
I love the Sending in X. I just.... it's still THE top moment of ANY video game for me. Even beating out a lot of moments from LoZ which is my favorite gaming series of all time. So that speaks volumes of how impactful and stunning that scene is.
FFXV logo. The sleeping woman is Eos, the Greek Goddess of the Dawn. The Plague of the Star threatens to plunge FFXV's world (called Eos) into eternal darkness, my theory is that towards the end of the games you have to find and wake the Sleeping Eos to raise the dawn and reverse the The Plaghe of the Star. Only 3 days away.
I had the exact same theory when they revealed the world/godess' name. I hope they make the Plague, whatever it is, intriguing and worthwile to be obscured until the very release of the game.
I actually remember, that the logo of FFXV was already explained years ago. The sleeping woman is Etro (Do you remember the painting Noctis and Stella were staring at when 15 was named Versus 13? That's Etro aswell), who plays a role in FF XIII-2. And XIII(-2), Lightning Returns, Type-0 and XV are in the same universe (or have the same backstory) But well, this was the explaining when it was named Versus 13, it could have changed of course but it makes sense, you know. Looking at the Omen-Trailer you can see the chaos realm Noctis is fighting Luna and yeah... the chaos realm or rather the unseen realm is a part of the entire universe and Etro lived in Valhalla, which was a path to the real world and the chaos.
Lorena FFXV SPOILERS they changed it so at the ending of FFXV you see that the woman is actually Luna laying her head down on the throne armrest next to noct after the end game battle. It probably wasn't what they had in mind originally, but it draws a parallel and the logo expands to show noctis in it too.
Spoiler: The XV logo is incomplete until you actually beat the game
Chariel Rodriguez does it change again?
RepTheFam yes
It goes from good to awful so sure whatever
I know Noctis will Complete the logo
IMO the original is better. Also the moon background is better. Unfortunately you can't revert...
Can't wait for the next spin off FF
Final Fantasy XV-2 "A New Recipe"
Austin Flyskites you mean A new repcipeh
you mean Final Fantasy IX: Spirits Reborn
THAT'S IT!
That's it! I've cOme uP wITh a nEw rEciPeH
the coolest logo was xv, because it changes when you beat the game, and stays that way in the main menue, but the story really made me cry, its a beautiful story
True, it even goes from surrounded by darkness to surrounded by light in the menu.
a lazy guy wow. just wow.
the menu theme also changes, brings me a tear every time I start playing the game
ffx makes me cry
Final fantasy xv logo will make sense after you beat the game. Its one of the best logos of the series
And it changes! Seriosuly agree with you...
I beat the game last fall and yeah, it’s really cool what they did to weave the logo into the story. Very creative and moving even if I didn’t love the ending.
@@HumanPerson_final so...the Ignis ending is canon now...and it is much, much, much, much better...
J.R. Cillian Green Man, I didn’t bother playing through all the DLC stuff. I might give it a go.
@@j.r.cilliangreen4083 what do you mean canon?
Yet people rag on him for 'being emo' - which doesn't make sense anyway because the game came out before 'being emo' was even a thing.
owa_ffs emohas been a thing alot longer than you think kid we juat didnt call um emo
After beating the game, ffxv logo is sad as fuck.
Justin Espeoni omg i wanna know so bad but i dont want spoilers ah Dx
Cpn. Beartato Then play the game mate, it's really good.
Justin Espeoni ik i cant get it yet cuz im broke but it looks so good
Cpn. Beartato well stay away from everything ffxv related, the story is great but it's getting spoiled everywhere.
yeah now i finally get why the games main theme was somnus - sleep
like rest - eternal rest, which is nice, but so sad
FFXV has to be the best logo in my opinion. The fact that the meaning of it is revealed in the end and how this whole time it was actually unfinished was breathtaking. If you finished the game then I'm sure you understand how.
It was meant to be Stella tho... they just replaced her with Luna and called it a day.
Pretty ironic one year later.
Also the OST changes when you beat the game, it goes from Somnus (inst) to NOCTIS and omg it's making me kind of sad cause it reminds me of the ending
FF13 logo was also explained at the end, as well as FFXIV Stormblood (it literally depicts the final scene of the expansion)
Worth noting: the original FFIV logo featuring Kain has him posing in a "4" shape.
I guess they knew how awful of a character Kain was when they replaced him with Golbez
I never noticed until you said something
Jesus. I've been staring at that FFIV logo since the 90's, and I am just NOW realizing that it is Kain, not Cecil. Holy unobservant. Ha.
frozenaorta I know right!
This whole time I thought it was Cecil. And I thought Cecil was the main character. WTF?
It thought it was a bit strange... the guy had a lance not a sword in hand.
Well, FFII logo is the emperor, FFX is Yuna, and FFXIII is Vanille and Fang, it's not too uncommon the logo themself aren't about the protagonists.
Me: "Boy, I can't wait to see what he says about FF8's logo!"
*gets treated to backhanded insults about Squall and his relationship with RInoa*
Me: "Why do u do this"
yeah!! I don't like hearing people bad-mouthing my fav game. ff8 was good!
I'm not a fan of 8 but one thing I liked was there story and how they changed and the logo always reminds me of it and it makes me feel warm inside lol
ARMOR15 never played it but people shouldn't bad mouth games unless it's offensive/without a good reason.
ARMOR15 It is a lame logo.
12's logo is my favorite.
How do you think I feel I was here just for FFX and he barely touched on it
How did you not buy Squall and Rinoas love story?! it's the best part of FF8. an emotionally reserved and damaged guy falls for the last person he ever thought he would. they go from bickering to cuddling. my 11 year old mind was blown in 1999.
Nick Howe Zack and Aerith ftw
When I watched my mum play through this when I was 5 I had managed to convince myself until this day that
FF7's logo was Cloud's hair
Danny Xu I can't unsee it xD A like for your comment.
Danny Xu Lol Dafuq
Danny Xu
XDXD HOW!?!?
Anyone else notice how the logo in FFXV is surrounded by darkness and has Luna resting on it, but then after you beat the game it's surrounded by light and has noctis next to her? Fucking feels...
FFX is still one of the greatest console games i've played since 2002
You must've played some shitty games
Yeah it was good but its also the most annoying one, fuck some of those celestial weapons dodge 200 lightnings my ass
@@Vapedealerband you've got it mixed up. The voice acting was amazing whilst the leveling system sucked. Seriously I have to kill 20 adamantoises to move to one node which is probably empty. On top of that all of the enemies give you shitty status effects and your weapons do fuck all making it even harder to level up
Dude, solid game and even the laughing seen is over hated. He meant to sound like shit at the start.
matabi shippuden you don’t know the monster arena leveling trick do you?
Joshua Reynolds They actually do have reasons to be whiny, Cloud more so than Squall, but they both do have reasons.
Not psychological trauma like depression or abandonment
As for Cloud: if you actually replay or look back at FF7 Cloud does not start off whinny, he's just a careless douche of a mercenary who does things for money with a softspot for Tifa and a grudge over Sephiroth because he burned down his home and killed his family.
8s logo is beautiful and dude honestly it has one of my favorite cutscene openings of all FFs
I love VIII. Nuff said.

The Main Story of FFXV sucks
Beautiful freaking scene
I finished FFXV two days ago, you're in for a logo surprise.
Walk tall, Krait!
I cried so much when it happened tbh
*Shows krait on the throne*
Krait I loved that part! The ending of that game, made it worth playing.
Man that was coolest shit ever have to be honest!
SPOILERS
Now we all know the ff15 logo is nothing special besides a picture of lunafreya laying her head down on KING noctis' throne in the ending
MangoKip wow i would not call that a nothing especial logo. i actually cried when i saw the cutscene with the "true logo"
SPOILERS!
I still like it though, it's really beautiful and sad, dead luna resting her head next to dead noctis in the afterlife
Kamina o mito Games never exactly get me emotional( Hell, for some reason I barely even teared up at the end of Telltale's Walking Dead) but FFXV nearly made me cry, what with Noctis and Luna's afterlife wedding, to Noctis's reunion with the guys at the end of the character credits.
the updated logo at the end is meant to imply that it is noctis and luna's final fantasy, seeing that theyre joyed at the afterlife
There's been a theory at pitioss ruins of the story of the gods of blah blah blah why ifrit betrayed the other gods blah blah blah but actually it's a long story but I pretty much think that the woman in the logo is eos aka: ifrit's wife
Actually, the logo behind Crisis Core is the blue sky, which has to do with *spoiler alert* Zack's eventual death and his wish to be free.
Just thought I'd throw it out there :)
Interesting!
Ann Strife Crisis coe is one of my favorite FF game all time.
Boss Big mine too :) because Zack reminds me of my older brother. They look, talk and act almost exactly the same way.
We can argue whis is the best, but we all know that XIII is one of the worst.
@@alexk3393 I've heard why XIII is bad (ALOT) by the old FF heads but I've heard why it can be good. I haven't played it yet so I can't be a judge but I'm sure I'll enjoy it once I play it. I usually do. :)
@@user-jy6ur8gb1c 7 is definitely my favorite! But the others that I've played, sit deep in my heart and I loved playing them!
Just finished ff15. That experience is out of this world. Even if you don't like final fantasy...buy it. Just to experience it. That ending man :'(
and what you say? after playing it, its worth or a waste?
Tsubasa Hei-Lan Absolutely worth it. Probably best game I've played since the last of us. I should've specified what I meant by the frowny ending. The ending isn't bad, it's just emotional. The ending is one of the best video game endings I've seen in a while.
im glad to read it, you know i think the "beta concept" of the game and history was just perfect. darker and cruel , but the final product isnt bad at all.
noct is not soooo baddass but a petry decent hero
the only thing i miss is the concept of noctis vs stella, a tragic love
but man. that final its just a masterpiece, and the logo change thing was awesome!
im happy to see this final fantasy at least playable!
Yeah that logo change really put a final stamp on the whole experience. Really hope this and ff7 remake can jump start the final fantasy series again.
for me the game was just average...in everything =/
the main plot and the side characters (apart from the main cast) are RLY average too =S
Final Fantasy VIII love story is Squall saving Rinoa through time over and over again. Forever. And I mean Forever. Time Loop.
FF8 was amazing. the love story pinnacles when they are both floating out in empty space together. revisit that shit. its really quite a masterpiece
edit- forgot to say awesome stuff on explaining the logos
Why the fuck am I here I don't play FF and I need to do my Maths Revision.
PandaXDHD A summary of my life 😂 although I did preorder FF15, it's gonna be my first one :)
Wow. I was just thinking the exact same thing.. I'm gonna leave now.
I think you answered your own question... everything is better than maths
Have fun with FF XV, asanti. It's a great game for me so far. :)
The 8 logo represented time compression and their meeting through time and space in the flower field.
for final fantasy 14 the dragon is nidhogg and the city is the holy see of ishgard
Because of the whole "the king of light" prophesy in xv
game nerd Welp.
And with regards to hamlet, Noctis could get visions from Regis when he puts on the ring of the Lucii
FF VIII will always be dear to me. The game introduced me to JRPG and RPG, my beloved genre in gaming.
you found the soul summoning moving but not Squall's love story? ok.
Leif 3GHP he doesn't get what a love story is.
Leif 3GHP He's just a bitter hater who're doesn't know what love is lol
Leif 3GHP the Sending was fucking ICONIC
maybe he just doesn't like ff8? It is a love/hate game.. I LOVE IT :D
It's as much a love/hate game as 7 and 9. Definitely easier to hate 7 and 9 though.
IMO Squall and Rinoa's love story made more sense than Tidus and Yuna's. But I tend to like FFs that others actually tend to dislike.
When you consider that Tidus is a dream, even twilight has a better love story haha
but they meet again in the later game, so it kinda makes sense. Squall and rinoa was just cringy and hollywood-themed
***** Well speaking of ''westerners'' FF8 has a much more western feel than other games.
Raphaël Paradis IKR
that ff8 hate wasn't deserved at all ;/
DeviMon1 Because it had the worst gameplay of the series? Nope it deserves it
If you think 8 was the worst you never played 2 or 3.
Saber0003 or 10-2, or 12, Or 13-3.
Or XIII-2. XII was decent.
Deathstar 699 pretty much
Well, after FF 15, it's back to REMAKE FF7! That's finally come true!
Michael Eshleman I love darker than black bro
Michael Eshleman slightly off ....KH3 then ff7 remake...
it's an anime - referring to Michael's dp.
lets just hope they stay with the origin story and dont try like goosebumps or star wars feminist naggy shit and make 18 + game i need to see the blood on shinra stars and the mini skirt and big boobs of tiffa lul
is ok to make female lead charates what i am sayng is transform a alread 10/10 story in a garbage because of the standard of the mimimi comunity.
Final Fantasy IX has always been my favourite.
the FF15 logo actually changes at end game.
the-thing-in-a-pot yeah, I just beat it And it changed lol
the-thing-in-a-pot There are 20 other comments saying this
I know a lot of people, myself included that bought into FF8's love story.
most likely they were kids or teens at the time that's why
I knew there would be spoilers but I didn't expect the FF13 spoiler like that. I'm 23 hours into it. Well.... that sucks.
Yeah, me too. That was pretty shitty.
Shit happens.
MysteryPerson852 it came out 7 years ago!
The logo already spoiled it.
Besides, Squall and Rinoa are goals.
now i want to replay FF13. my favorite is 10 but the story and music of 13 is awesome too.
No dissin' VIII, greatest game of all time!
if you played ff8 right after release... you just had to watch the opening, and you where in love with that game instantly
*why cant we just have an actually good review about FF8 WRYYYY*
Yade yade
FF XV is Luna sleeping. In the ending the logo gets an add to it. Wich is magnificent. Everything in that games story and ending is magnificent.
stella. the logo is from versus when luna didnt exist.
@@hullmees666 yes, but stella is not canon anymore, so is Luna
Your explanation of IX was exactly what I wanted the crystals in that game to serve, but none of that was mentioned in the game.
The stuff about the crystals recycling the souls part? because all of that was in the story.
I have played through the game at least 3 times, and i don't think it was. They mention recycling souls, certainly, but i don't recall them ever making references to crystals being in charge of that. If they do it is very brief and easy to miss.
Yeah I am a big fan of ff9 and crystals are def not a focus in the plot
Yup, nothing but a sham lol
I thought the crystal in the logo for 9 was suppose to represent garnet's necklace? It's not the same shape exactly but it's close enough
FlamingoCocktail nah that's midgardsormr. nidhogg looks completely different.
Given Midgardsormr and Nidhogg's roles in the story, I'd say it's likely to be Nidhogg. It might not look 100% like the Nidhogg we have in the game, but then the art often takes certain liberties with the designs. I mean I wouldn't have said the two faces in the FFXIII logo look anything at all like Vanille and Fang.
i just type a comment to say this only to scroll down to find you not only already said it but you said it better
Wrong, it's Ratatoskr.
FFXVs logo is Luna sleeping on the throne in her wedding dress.
FF10-2: It Features the Three Main Characters: Yuna,Rikku and Paine
FF11: Five warriors, each of a different race, are depicted in the game's illustration.
This is a very common trope in Japanese media, so I guess it makes sense why it wouldn't land in the US, but for whatever reason it made sense to me at the time when I played it.
i don't think an image, of which you have no context, can "spoil" anything.
ryan phillips you can get the gist of the story if you understand the meaning behind the logo. Kinda like how the meteor in ff vii or the judges in ff xii
......you don't even know that's a meteor or judges.
I mean, it looks fairly meteorish
Thomas
Really? It looks more like a planet. Which is a good assumption considering at least in the beginning, the game is ABOUT the planet itself.
Elli Soo? Knowing that the image is a meteor doesn't spoil anything.
This was a cool idea for a video. Maybe it's because I was like 10 when FF8 came out, but I always loved Squall and Rinoas love story ;___;
zombiefriend same
i was about 14/15 when ff8 came out, for me it resonated and the Love story was there lol
Squall is still annoying and Rinoa just too cliche of a character for me.
ff8 my first final fantasy game
That ff8 shade was uncalled for imo its the best love story in ANY game I've played to date.
Play lunar
Fave FFs:
1. Final Fantasy 15
2. Final Fantasy 8
3. Final Fantasy 10
4. Duodecim Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy
5. Final Fantasy Tactics
"Pissy whine bucket Squall"
Did you actually play VIII?
Also, try to keep the arbitrary VIII hate out of something that's supposed to be objective.
8 sucks.
@@invadererc2365 subjective
@@yagokain4189 Fair enough.
You're right. This comment section was a tad bland, needed salt
Actually 2 sucks
I've always liked the minimalist JP Final Fantasy box art more than the US versions.
Tenfey me too
re: the FFXIV: Heavensward logo, you learn pretty early on into the content that the city in the background is Ishgard, the new city-state that much of the expansion content revolves around, and the dragon is the main antagonist of the expansion, which you also learn early on, is Nidhogg.
Also the Stormblood logo is now out, but there's only speculation for that one so far, but it does look a lot like an entire army on that one, probably because we're looking to take back Ala Mhigo from Imperial control in this expansion.
It's Ratatoskr, though. Please check information before talking.
If it's Ratatoskr, then why is he attacking the warrior of light? Pretty sure it's Nidhogg.
It's Thordan and his Knights. The moment depicted is the treason, and the de facto founding of Ishgard.
Please play ffviii without being prejudice or affected by other people's opinion. And you will appreciate a arty difference in the series. Pissed me off when I got to The ffviii part. 👎
Played it found it lack luster honestly.
Same. FVIII is my favorite one and I'm so damn excited the remake is coming out soon! People don't understand it
Exactly. This video did not need to hear his opinions about the game. The title says meaning of the logos so I suggest he keeps it that way.
Whatever you say snowflake
I liked the story but I didn't like the draw and junction system, much preferred the materia system of 7 and traditional job system of most of the others
It really captures the whole idea when you know that the name Final Fantasy came about because they expected there to be one game, but it blew up and now it just won't stop.
The FFIII logo is representing the "Warriors of THE Light" aka the 'Onion' Knights from the original 1990 game, though it doesn't make sense for the 2006 DS remake unless it was repurposed as a representation of Luneth.
When you realize FFXV logo's... That is Luna's halo...
Damn, it's rainning inside again.
How is FF8's love story bad? Rinoa literally became Ultimecia so she could be with Squall. Love in Japan is a very subtle thing, different from that of western countries.
I know right
But she...didn't become Ultimecia?
I have not gotten to finish the game and only always get as far as just outside the academy, but I've heard it's the best love story, I have played ffx tho and I can imagine its 2 different stories so they end in 2 different scenarios, I really really liked ffx. Ff8 logo is good because it is good, it's attractive and doesnt really bullshit around and tells you theres a romantic story in it, or it's a big part of it, colors hold well with its warm red which is often related to romance, the art style is also complimented with the serif ff font simple, and elegant. I'm a graphic designer.
Just because the game has some corny ass love story doesn't mean it's good
@@Mr_Blazeking it's not a bad story, though???
FFXV Logo is Luna. If you get the ending. Noctis will be included on the logo. :)
Well the lady in the logo was Etro, but since they changed up the story in FFXV a whole lot that may have changed, who knows
luna cmon its a woman sleeping under a moon lunas name means moon there you go
lol true, dunno why I didn't think of that
It was Etro in Versus XIII.
For those who have done the leviathan fight in FF15 who thought of Aeris in FF7
Billy Bitchcakes I thought Prompto, Ignis and Gladiolus' story DLC were free.
xiii-2 is so beautiful
same with xv - the first one and revised one after the credits
SPOILERS AHEAD: FFXV
FFXV symbol is first the deceased Lunafreya but when finishing the game..King Noctis appears sitting on his throne next to Luna..technically showing you the ending of the game lmao
fun fact, ff11 was playable on dial up
I expected "FF11 was an inside job"
Firaga can't melt steel beams.
True. I first started playing on dial up.
X, XIII and XIV are my favorite logos so far.
8:54 Yo, I never noticed the butt shot in FFXIV's logo.
my top 5 final fantasy games
1 ff9
2 ff6
3 ff10
4 ff12
5 ff7
but overall ff6 had the best soundtrack and character customizations
Meo S ff7 under ff10 ._.
Ah, sounds reasonable
That sounds reasonable still the order is like this for most people (even nintento players)
1. FFVII
2. Whatever you wanna name it
Actually most people are either.
A)
1. FF 7
2. Anything
or B)
1. FF 6
2. Anything
But taste is subjective so anything is fine. Although there are games in the series which I don't understand how anyone could put on 1st place.
Final Fantasy XIII is my favorite game of the series.
Your description of Squall Lionheart earned a thumbs up and a sub. I salute you, sir.
I like how the logo changes when you beat FFXV
It gave me chills
The FFVIII logo has way more impact if you believe in Rhinoa=Edea theory. And for the record, I think it has a lot of sense when you go over the evidence. For those wo don't know what I'm talking about, look for the video here on TH-cam. You don't need me to give you the link. Anyway, nice video.
*Rinoa = Ultimecia
Edea has no relations with Rinoa in any way.
It's not obvious. And I'm not saying the theory is true. It's a THEORY. There are some clues in the game that support it but certainly not confirm it. Look for the video.
And I meant Ultimacia, not Edea.
FF8 is still my favorite in the series. If a remake ever happens I will be the first one in line
Even if I have to buy a filthy ps5 for it 🤢
Awesome video! Thanks for the explanation.
I love the Sending in X. I just.... it's still THE top moment of ANY video game for me. Even beating out a lot of moments from LoZ which is my favorite gaming series of all time. So that speaks volumes of how impactful and stunning that scene is.
Agreed
growing up i always saw the ff7 logo as the planets life force coming out to grab meteor. which is the little ball in the top right. haha
Joe Bailey you know, that's rad as hell, so I choose to see it that way
Prepare to have your mind blown: That little ball is the black materia that summons the meteor! BOOM!
It's the Oracle.
ff xv features the Oracle.
Yes, which you knew after finishing the game no doubt. Not to mention that the entire actual logo features Noctis as well.
Luke A.
(why'd you have to call me out like that?)
Skill-point Because you made such a "witty" comment.
Luke A. Can't a man be witty in peace. Thought this was a free country.
Skill-point Did it ever occur to you... That there are more than one country in the world?
Miiranga Quite possible, but since no one will ever get to play VersusXIII, it doesn't really matter, does it?
Not even close lol
HardPunkKore I wish the plot had turned out that way...
HardPunkKore Yep, I confirm that in ancient Greek, Eos means both the sunrise and its Goddess.
i love how the teased logo for 15 is incomplete. makes you really appreciate the true logo
I love these logos. I think 10 and 8 are my favorites logos. And what a coincidence, they are my favorite games in the series. ^_^
7:42 A vertical logo?! Hwa-hwa-hwahwa?!?!
I know, since I finished the game myself now :) I think it's pretty interesting how it turned out tho

I'm incredibly glad that you decided to include Heavensward as a main series game for Final Fantasy, even though it is an expansion.
