I actually did apply binding in the round of two t-shirts, since knits don't ravel and I hate the big bump of knit seams turned to the underside. Some purists would not like this idea, thinking that you absolutely can not have a raw edge on the exterior but you can in knits and manufacturers have. As long as the edge doesn't roll, which in this case never has. Some probably find the flat method easier but I always have a harder time getting the opened shoulder seam lined up to close.
Do you think that I could run the leg openings of underwear through that's already had the elastic sewn on by a serger? That is to say, do you think the elastic would fit or would it be too bulky?
