    Thank you SOOOOO much!!! I think in the U.S. the “Gloria” is called the “Triumph” Babylock machine or so I have heard. It was pricey but I got a real good deal on a new one for around $5000.00 (normally about 6500.00 to 6900.00) plus I got some free attachments!!! This was the best investment I could have made HANDS DOWN! Air threading 100% of the time, just chain off - NO pulling needle threads jazz, truck loads of features and attachments. They put a LOT of thought into this model and you do pay for it! And, the sewing tutorials and classes on their special website (at a price) are off the freakin chain!!!!!!!!! If you have the money, the Triumph or Gloria is the way to go PERIOD I am saving for a second machine!

    As a returning sewer, after 25 years - the world has moved on! I have just bought a coverstitch and purchased this attachment - now to give it a go.......! Thank you so much - who knew?

    I just purchased the 12mm binding attachment so that I can finish the armholes of singlets, tank tops, crop tops etc. Indeed I've always made t-shirts with sleeves rather than sleeveless tops because I just can't finish the armholes nicely, and always want to scream in frustration when I try! So I can't wait to give this bad boy a whirl!

    Thank you so much. I bought this attachment ages ago and have only just plucked up enough courage to try it. Thanks to your video I got the hang of it straight away and produced a great neckband in no time at all. Thoroughly recommended ...

    I purchased a Brother CV3550 Cover Stitch Machine and the binding attachment but I just didn’t love the machine like I thought I would so I traded it in for the Baby Lock Cover Stitch Machine and purchased the 3 sizes of the double fold bias binder and the single fold bias binder too. The moment I brought it home and practice stitched the binding, I had tears in my eyes. Such a wonderful machine. I want to bind everything now, LOL. The neatest thing as well - the Cover Stitch machine uses most of the feet from my Triumph Serger/Overlocker as well. Bonus Time!

    Love your tips and videos, thanks for the demo. I don't have a coverstitch machine yet. I have a Janome 9400 sewing machine and a juki overlocker. Looks like I need to seriously take a look at this beauty. A few more demos as to what a coverstitch machine does would be appreciated. Thanks again.

    I have the Triumph with 23 optional feet but don’t have that one yet! I also have the new Brother CV3550 Top Cover Stitch machine and opted for two other feet, not thinking that I would use this foot. But here you are making it look like a must have attachment! Back to my dealer in the US for another foot. BTW - the US doesn’t carry the Gloria Overlocker which I find interesting! I love my Baby Lock Triumph. WONDERFUL machine. Thank you so much for this video...

      Thanks Loriann, the Gloria is actually the same machine as the Triumph it is just the name for it here in the UK. So glad you enjoyed the video and if you ever have trouble finding what you need we do ship to the US.

    I dont have a coverstitch machine. I have a normal sewing machine but i did buy a bias binding foot from you. I was making placemats and wanted a nice finish. Gosh, I’ve had this attachment since I bought my Pfaff Coverlock, but have never used it! And suffered attaching neckbands the conventional way. Thank you for showing this! But I have a couple of questions I think others will have too, please: 1. Do you attach the neck band in the front and back of the t-shirt and then attach the shoulders? I thought you mentioned you attach one shoulder, then neckband, then second shoulder. Have I understood right? 2. How would you use this attachment with ribbing? Wouldn’t you have to pull a bit? How to add the correct tension to the ribbing? Thanks again!

    Thanks for this ....frist like to say nice to hear uk video not all them usa ones lol....frist question is now I make dance costumes with cut outs in legs arms belly ect now your saying need to have open to sew the bidding this would be impossible as the holes need to bid in the centre of a leg and my seems stiched inside of leg or arm ...can this still be done? 2nd question is with lycra dance wear or costumes bidding needs to be tighter to pull the costume ie around any holes leg/bum and back especially is this possible to do? Thanks

    I'm wondering whether or not to get the double folded or the one that folds over the front and leaves the back side in a single layer. I'm thinking that might be great as it reduces the bulk

    • @SewEssential
      @SewEssential  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes you sew one shoulder seam, then sew the neckline, then sew the other shoulder seam. It is the way they do it in industry. So glad you enjoyed it.

    • @amycole8974

      Sorry not standard industry. There is usually one join or no joins, if there is a join it's on the left shoulder. Leave the left shoulder seam open and sew that together once the binding is on. You will find it just as easy to sew around the whole neck as it is the front, the back part of the neck opening has very little or no curve to it. I have worked in the industry.

      I have the Singer Professional 5 14T968DC, and the Pfaff attachment works perfectly. Since I'm in the US, I bought mine from a different supplier--it seems to be the same item, with even the same item number.
      The only thing I had to do differently is use the middle and right coverstitch needle positions, as opposed to the left and middle as instructed in the serger manual for narrow coverstitch. The results were just as gorgeous as in this video!

    How can i do a tiny newborn onesie/bodysuit envelope neckline? The left and right starting points on both front and back necklines have such a tight turn to the dip in centre its smaller than the foot so by the time im upto the drastic dip im still under the foot and my fabric cant reach the bias binding unless i stretch it and releasing the foot to turn causes skipped stitches. I know it can be down i just cant find anything. I dont want to zig zag or pre sew because you cant use attachment. I want to use attachment but its incredibly small. I have looked and all videos start with 6month olds i want newborn to 0-3 month so very small sharpe tight turns. It has to be possible can you help me find where i can learn this please.
