Luckily there is such a yuge live catalog to listen to. I figured if i listened to a live show everyday, at work, it would take 8 years to get through everything.
Their vocals stink but musically they are 4 of the best musicians in the past 20 years.
The simple egg sandwich!!! This song legit scared me a bit being there (shrooms) I totally didn't expect something so dark and deep. Loved it, loved every second of this musical journey of a concert...my first phish show ever!

While at this show, my wife turns and says, "bet it won't be as good as the deer creek simple." 20 minutes later she turns and gives me this look and we both knew she'd spoken too soon. Phish always brings the heat for simple!
Were you at deer creek 2021 for simple? Blaze on Wilson simple was epic. Sunday was super fun.

Take multiple bows, our beloved Phish. Since I got on the bus in 94 at McCalister in Tulane , I’ve never been disappointed seeing you guys live. This past Saturday was a complete and utter musical and visual masterpiece, start to finish. It was a reaffirming, reenergizing experience that couldn’t have come at a better time for me and I’m sure many others.
I flew up from Tulane to go to 4/22 and 4/23!! You are so lucky you got to see them there. What was it like seeing a band that was so on fire in such a small theatre? I wish they’d come back to McAllister! lol
I LOVE phish, but are you serious that you have seen them since 94 and have "never been disappointed seeing them live?" How is that possible?
Hey Zach seeing them at Tulane was everything you can imagine I suppose, knowing how tiny the place is and all. I remember arriving mid-1st set, after a Securtiy guard or someone let me in, and going up the balcony part on my left, being greeted by swirling lights and blazing music. Mind you I had never heard them that much before that show but was encouraged to go by my Dead Head friends I was crashing with at the time, across The Lake , just outside of Mandeville from the previous Grateful Dead summer tour. It was politely suggested I see Phish and maybe catch a ride somewhere, haha. Long story short, I wound up doing most of the rest of that Fall tour, ending with a “miracle” on Halloween in Glens Falls, NY.
Good times indeed to say the least, had a BLAST! And Yes they were on FIYA on a nightly basis.
Hey Brian, I guess I know where you going in terms of me never being disappointed at a show. Musically, every night might not have been or will be face melting, guitar god material but I enjoy the show as a whole, you know what I mean?? The people, the music, the laughs, etc, etc....Phish shows and many other concerts I go to are top of my personal list of fun things to do. Now I get to go to shows with my 17 year old daughter who likes them as well, so yeah it’s hard to disappoint me, haha . Then a show like Saturday night comes along and BAM !!
@@brianquinlan2836 There ave been nights were MY expectations werent met, amongst the 130 some odd shows I have been to. With age, you realize if all pork cops were pretty, we wouldnt have hot dogs.
year in, year out, this band continues to mystify, confound, and delight my soul. Once you give up the comparison (is this reba as good as august 93 rebas) game, its all fun.

First time I heard this in 1998 I actually thought that Phish did indeed have a saxophone in the band

So cool hearing them slide from speeding down the left lane off into the dark jam exit. Such a cool and snappy transition, not to mention unexpected. What a way to end a fantastic April run at the Garden holy wow.
This might go down as one ☝️ of thee absolute Best Simples I’ve ever heard since 97 when I started going to shows. Egg In The Whole Trey just took it to his 98-00 era deep Evil….He didn’t miss a dam note that whole 🏃
Concerts are conversations between the fans and the band. Phish phans are awesome because they are listening. A little musical gaff and the phans and the band both get a nice chuckle. It is fabulous! @3:17

Love all the talk of this band/group. They played The Music Farm in Charleston,SC....'91 or'92. The Dead were in Charlotte the same eve. For 2 nights.
The Yogi Bear campground. Epic.
Saw Phish later that summer in RVA. HORDE Tour. The Purple Rain cover sticks with me to this day...30yrs ago.

From 13:45 on is just THE BEST. Elanor rigby tease up front. Then it turns from lt blue & yellow (Slava Ukraine!) to Red & Angry at 15:50. At 17:40 I can't tell if someone is singing or it's a sample. Then at 20:00 you can see they are all just cracking up with sheer joy at the utter madness of it all!!!!! Then of course the sandwich to finish! Well Played! I look forward to more of the SciFi Soldiers material this summer! In Red! With Anger!!!!!

Best song/jam of the run. Waves was a bit more fun to be at, for the obvious reason, but I love at least how Phish played this after the Mikes Groove-always new and fresh…Phish.
The camera work without the sky cam they had this nye is so much better imo it just didn’t seem too necessary

Phish, you should release a public statement about the amount of people who got Covid at these concerts. Because it's many, and there's threads with thousands of responses from people who are sick on social media. Not sure what made these concerts spread Covid more than your others, perhaps it was everyone sharing marijuana with each other.

I thought my youtube was on slow mode. And people gave the Dead shit for getting old. This is wretched. I saw them in their prime in the early 90s. Trey's tone is atrocious. Sad to listen the fall of a once great band. What did the Phish fan say when the drugs wore off? This music sucks.
Started on Grateful Dead 1974 early high school, on that bus for a long time, got into jamband scene at Wetlands & The Cap late 80's, for me the Trey On Drugs year were the worst - 99 - 04 - reunion on (3.0) has built gradually but has definitely Matured since Fare Thee Well (Trey filling the Jerry slot really grunged up his tone a lot). I'm no fan of all the Trey Christian Rock Barry Manilaw songs the young n's seem to love (More, Rise Up, Sigma Oasis, etc), but am willing to pissbreak / sit them out for the "goods". I am a YUGE fan of Kasvot Vaxt & SciFi Soldiers, which a lot of youngn's don't seem to care for. Go figure . . . & oh BTW YOU COULDN'T PAY ME TO SEE THOSE OSSIFIED SLO & SLO FOSSILS IF THEY PLAYED MY BACK YARD!!!!! NOR PHIL W/HIS LAME ASSED SON'S BAR BAND BUDDIES FOR $138!
