    I think I would have just squared off the end of the tank and the firebox and welded them together offset.

    Hey brother it's your barbecue but I just got a question why didn't you just make the Box on the outside it would have been easier

      Thats a great question honestly. We thought about that for awhile but the main issue would've been size. Both the inner and outer box would be too big. We didn't need any more weight on the back end of the trailer. And we would've paid a lot more for the material. Plus we just kind of like how the round firebox looks.

    What did you all use to insulate the firebox.

      We used some high temp ceramic fiber insulation that we bought on amazon. Rated up to 2400 degrees F. Seems like its usually used in wood stoves and things.

      It was called Ready Strip advanced...definitely a little messy. Here's a link.
