Nice video! I’ve always wanted to drive a BE but unfortunately by the time I started driving, my home district retired them all. We have a CE that’s pretty much the same setup as this bus: MF7, hydraulic brakes, W/C, shifter with a park option, even the mirror setup is the same.
It’s a funny little bus to drive, it feels so weird after being so used to a full sized bus. I’ve noticed to park option in the shifter, but I have never used it because the driver always leaves it in neutral with a parking brake on so I do the same. We bought 6 of these new in 2012 and I think only 3 remain. The rest have been replaced by mid-sized CE’s that are new and a mid-sized 2007 Thomas fs-65 that was purchased used.
@@busdriverlucas I drove an '09 BE back in October and the bus wouldn't hold with the parking brake for some reason so the park in the shifter was the only way it would hold. All it does is parks in the gear and the normal emergency brake.
We bought these and they were numbered 350-355. I think 350, 351, and 353 are the BE’s we have left. The other were replaced by handi CE’s and they were numbered the same as the buses they replaced. So 352, 354, 355 presumably
Great video, I used to ride an older IC BE to school every day.

Finally a ride along video of an ic be! My old district had quite a few of these things. The 2012 Maxxforce 7 sounds really funny.
Is it limited to 55? Seems to not want to progress any further than 55.
Nope, governed between 65-68 like the rest of ours. I was just obeying the speed limit 😂
I love these little buses. What numbers are the other 2?
