Driving back to the school after my afternoon route in a spare bus. I actually really enjoyed driving this bus, it drives surprisingly well. I don’t know why, but this is my personal favorite video I have made. Hope you enjoy!

This looks like a fun bus to drive! I've not had the chance to drive a CV200 yet, but I'd like to at some point. Also love the 3126! Maybe I'm biased, though.

This one is a spare, it will probably get 2-3 more years in as a spare. A few of these still run a regular route, they’ll probably be spares in the next year or 2.
@@busdriver3623good to see they’re keeping these older buses going. Older ones seem to be more reliable and less complex due to the lack of multiplex wiring and no hassle of unreliable emissions control devices of new diesel’s.

Finally a ride along video of an ic be! My old district had quite a few of these things. The 2012 Maxxforce 7 sounds really funny.
That engine fan sounds exactly like the 2022 ic CEs in my school district.
I like how it sounds. With headphones on I can hear the rear differential humming. It does sound good. Looks like it has the same rear gear as the 2017 ic CE with the Cummins isb I rode to school in my freshman sophomore and senior year by looking at the shifts and hearing the axle hum.
I love the sound of this one also
I remember as a kid back in my state in the 1990s and even rode these in the early 2000s Riding on these Freightliner buses and those things ran like trucks hella powerful for almost any type of weather man the good ole days and the Freightliner here that beast sure sounds like it's got a lot of life left in it easily one of the better school buses ever made in my opinion

the LED brake lights with incandescent turn signals and reverse lights is an interesting spec choice
None of our buses were ordered to spec necessarily, they were just lot units. That’s why we have a variety of specs with manual doors and electric door and etc. But this light setup is consistent among all of our IC’s somehow

@@DawudTheBIoxburger ours are programmed with the fan also. It comes on when the exhaust brake is engaged for 5 seconds, that’s my favorite part about my bus. The fan adds more stopping power.

Not to my knowledge. This is currently the newest bus we have.
@@busdriver3623 Good idea to not get any 24's, they have rivet issues in the roofs, causing them to leak. I ride a 2024, had a roof leak at 13-14K miles
I've ridden IC buses like this back in the day in like the wayy early 2000s like 2003 or 2005 ish or close to it man these were one of my favs ahh the memories and wait a minute this is a 2002? This thing runs better than a lot of the newer model years easily
Why do other drivers take your bus on trips? Can't they use their own? That would irritate the shit out of me, other drivers using my bus and my having to use something else.
We can only use our new buses for sports and trips. I drive the newest bus at my school, so it always gets first pick for trips.

44-55 have manual doors and all of our buses older than that have manual doors, but 56-71 all have electric doors.
