- Ran across this nice looking 1976 Buick Electra 225 in one of my local junkyards. 76 was the last year of the big body GM land yachts and this Buick went out in style. That red velour interior was popping. The big block Buick 455 that was under the hood would also bid farewell in 76.
Since I have become an old person I appreciate old peoples cars 🙃
You never talk to much Benny it wouldn't be the same without you buddy
The interior of 76 Buick Deuce & A Quarter was mint someone definitely save all that & motor aswell.
You won't find a better riding car than that beast.
Having owned a '68 Electra, I have an appreciation for these land yachts. That roof will need repairs, but it protected the interior pretty good. I know you don't turn the engines to see if they're free, but the 455 is worth the price of admission, and I think it's a worthy project car. 👍
You never talk to much. You have a lot of valuable knowledge in this field that we need. I hope that idiot moved on to screw with someone else. Those seats might have been recovered compared with the fading in the carpet but I could be wrong. I like the the styling of these older cars the new ones all look a like. Thanks for another great video and sharing your knowledge. I hate vinyl tops they kill a car before it’s time.
Plush ride in its day.
That is a real luxury car! Overall looks very saveable!
We always called them a deuce and a quarter.😮
Worthy of restoration
Rollin' Luxury Land Lounge! Always wanted one! 👀👀👀
Love your videos. Don't change a thing. ❤
Hope you got optic fenders turn signal indicators.. rare rare rare ..
I had a 69 SS 396 Chevell that had them and I have never seen them on another Chevell.
Shame seeing it in the yard. Thanks for featuring it. I have the identical car…the seats are OEM. Lots of hard to find parts still on that poor old girl. What’s the yards name Benny?
Still has potential. Don’t think it’s done yet! Amazing looking interior!
Beautiful. 225. They. All are. Every. Year. Next. Door. Had. A. 73. Thanks
that was one of my favorite cars back in the mid 70s Benny. beautiful luxury car last year of that body style 👍 beautiful interior. Benny you should get those seats for yourself 👍
That's not a car Benny, that's a boat with four tires. 😂
Gorgeous!!
NOPE! Seats are factory!!! Love these cars ❤❤❤ first saw one in a junkyard when I was 13 or so. Most gorgeous car I’d ever seen. It was dark blue & it had the console, same as the Cadillac talisman .
Beautiful car it’s a 4 door hardtop sweet
Wow Benny and the jets that interior is mint.
I like your talk thumbs up
I'm guessing it was grandparents car. They passed away, their family didn't care about the car so they tried to overprice it, then failed. Then they just sold it to the junkyard for 50$.
I need some parts off that for my 76 225.
Mr. B. Here ! ☕️🍩👀😎👍. Benny if I remember 22ft long . Great highway cruiser , when cars had class & style ! AKA the rolling Living Room !
Morning
@@tomwesley7884 Mr. B. Here ! ☕️🍩👀😎. ☃️❄️🎄. Merry Christmas and have a Happy New Year !
My father had a 72 Buick 225 and in 76 he go that one it was nice at the time they went with the square headlights which made them look really nice. Buick had nice cars back then. Regal was one was well. Anyway thank you for videos Rick in Michigan
Nice Buick from back in 1976! They were land cruisers. Floated along the roadways. Sad this one ended in the salvage yard.
And unfortunately they ended up crushing it
Love the old Electra’s. Had a ‘70 in I think they called it desert mist. Last year before they started downgrading the HP. She’d just cruise all day long. Got better mileage than you’d think. Overall highway and town I’d get @ 15mpg. My Dad would see me coming and he’d say “ Here comes Greg in the Queen Mary”. Great car 👍
We had one in red on red. Great car! We got it in 1985 and my mom wrecked it in 86’. So sad!!!
She can be saved. She's not too far gone.
Talk as much as you want it sure doesn't bother me . Much better than a silent movie .
She's minty! That said, some of the GM makes looked great with the rectangular headlamps ('76 Caprice) this one looked ho-hum. Agree the interior color is outstanding, but don't care for a pillow top seat; the pillow tops are a nuisance to slidin' yur a$$ ta get in. Got the big displacement, but it was a dog. Guessing the Park Avenue refers to the vinyl top, maybe Mr. Google can describe the sub-models. No doubt a loaded-up, luxurious ride. Cruise with all the windows down on that hard top, feel like grand marshal of the parade any day of the week
The Park Ave was an option on the Electra 225 Limited. Vinyl tops were standard and other things such as special ornamentation and cloth seating.
i like that buick electra.
98 man myself yet interior rates 5 star
Did you get vodeo of the wagon? maybe Roadmaster or similar?
I'd love to have that to restore
Hey ! Benny that interior with the cloth pillow seats is immaculate and beautiful when those came out everyone wanted one of them they were comfortable to sit in and take a nice smooth cruise in
A deuce and a quarter Cedric the entertainer does an awesome bit about that car
Need to do a walk around of the old gal next to her (early 60s invictica ?) I had a 76 electra as well mine was beige.
I made a video on that one as well. Its up on the channel. Its a 62 Lesabre
Cool🥰
We're just junkyard located???? I want to buy this car
If there are spare parts for it, it can get back on the road.
Deuce and a quarter
I was 19 when these cars came out. Back then the seats were like home couches. I loved this car when new. It looks like a candidate for a demo derby now though.
Derby it Benny!
If there are spare parts for it, it can get back on the road.
Mechanical parts are easy to come by as it shares a lot with other Buick V8s of the era and a lot with other big GM cars of that era. 1971-1976 C body cars were basically the same, and some parts are shared with the B body cars too, depending on the part.
@@googleusergp It's great! We can buy and renovate a car like this beautiful Buick Electra!
Should not be in the yard. These body shops could fix the roof issues
The seats are factory, the park avenue is like a couch
Bet she was a looker in the day.
This car needs saved!
Need a front grill for 1976 buick electra limited
I wonder if anyone makes bumper fillers for these?
Hey Benny

More disappearing posts...here we go....
This is annoying with the post going away. LOL.
Whoa Nelley, Division four and soon to be no more. This was the pinnacle Buick for 1976. You made it in the Buick world in 1976 with one of these and the next step was a Cadillac. That's why the divisions are in order: 1 for Chevrolet, 2 for Pontiac, 3 for Oldsmobile, 4 for Buick and then 6 for Cadillac. It was designed to "step up" the customer to the next level. Yes, the Park Ave was an option on the Electra 225 and included Lombardy cloth interior trim, vinyl top, special ornamentation, and other trim appointments.
We got the VIN, we win: 4 for Buick, X for Electra 225 Limited, 39 for four door sedan hardtop, Y for 455 V8 with four barrel, Buick produced, approximately 205 HP, 6 for 1976 model year, H for Flint, MI assembly aka "Buick City" and the rest is the production sequence. The Flint, MI Buick "home" plant operated from 1904 to 1999. Correct, the 454 CID Chevrolet, 500 Cadillac 455 Pontiac, Olds and Buick V8s were last used in 1976. Some continued onward (such as the 454 Chevrolet) in truck use. Can't read the city and state/zip on the warranty folder. Too far away and the camera shots are poor quality. We got the tag, we can brag: ST76 for 1976 model year, 4CX39 for Buick (4) Electra 225 Limited (CX) four door hardtop (39), FL1 for Flint, MI assembly, 74E for Burgundy/Red cloth interior trim, 11L for Liberty White lower exterior paint, 11T for White vinyl top, 04E for the fifth week of April 1976 production, AM5 for split front bench seat with center armrest and six-way power adjustment, CA for Carmine/Burgundy secondary interior trim, AU3 for power door locks, and A31 for power windows.
Whoa Nelley, 4CX69 it out of time. 225 is soon to not be alive. Deuce and a Quarter turned into a hoarder. That's it, time to quit. 455 needs to be alive. Quadrajet was a sure bet. Hardtop took a big flop. "C" body is not too shoddy. Liberty White and soon to be out of sight. Going to be flat and that's that. Big block on the chopping block. Made in Flint and needs a hint. Made in MI and going bye-bye. Please don't get squished because many here, for sure Benny and you betcha the Google Man are going to be very, very, very, very, very pissed.
TH-cam must like you sometimes 😄
@@ClassicRideSociety Lights my fuse like no tomorrow. LOL.
@@ClassicRideSociety That must be it. LOL.
You'll never see those great luxury cars with the long wheelbases & wide tracks with the great ride & plush interiors & you can thank the EPA & the oil companies for that as well as killing off all of the great muscle cars. Most of the cars in this day & age look like CRAP!!! They have no style or character & they're ugly with FWD & a buckboard ride. They're just transportation & that's it!!!
You need to change your TH-cam banner picture
