The woman's name who was on the insurance card in 2013 appears to have been the original owner. By now she's be about 104 years old and probably bought this car in her retirement years in her 70s.
I would cry like a baby if i knew that this got scrapped. I have been trying to get my hands on one since I was 16 and I’m 41 now and I put everything I got into my kids and wife my dream ride right here please save someone it deserves it I love my Cadillac fleetwood
So depressing. I remember these being new & exciting. I was 13 in the summer of 1990 and I lived n breathed consumer guide magazine. Once I read the magazine a few times then I’d play spot them on the road ❤❤❤ good times It just seemed so exciting to see this car fixed up with the new headlights, trim & digital dash
I had a 92 triple white with Blue carpet and dash. bought it with 7500 miles in 00 and sold it in 03 with 10k on it. I still regret selling it every time I see one.
🏁 Hey Benny that's so cool to see the paperwork and the window sticker that's a pretty rare thing to find most of the time all that stuff gets lost. Great video it would be nice if somebody would save that Cadillac before it gets crushed has a lot of excellent parts on it!! As always excellent video Benny!!🇺🇲🏁🏁🏁😎🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁
We had one in auto tech! Was given to our high school by the dealer. It was low mileage lemon. We turned it into a running engine stand. Cut holes in the seats for our cigs and soda cans! Some great memories made there!
Dew Cadillac was downtown St Petersburg, dimmitt Cadillac was on fort Harrison in Clearwater and Ed Moore Cadillac was in Tampa. I had this exact Cadillac for over 10 years.
Whoa Nelley, 1990 and gotta go. One of my favorite Cadillacs, and I've always liked them. I think this is one Cadillac that kept them going and saved some of their sales. I don't care for that front seat belt set up, but it is what it is. You know what I'm going to say: Even in 1990, you "made it" in the world if you were driving one of these. We got the VIN, we win: 1G6 for US made Cadillac, DW54 for Brougham RWD four door, Y for 5.0L (307 CID) V8 with four barrel, Oldsmobile produced, aka RPO code "LV2", aka "Mini Pocket Rocket", aka "Silent Runner", 8 is a check digit, L for the 1990 model year, R for Arlington, TX assembly and the rest is the production sequence. The Arlington TX plant still operates and produces SUVs now. We got the SPID, glad you did: AG2 for six way passenger power seat, AM6 for three passenger split front bench seat with armrest, ARL for Arlington, TX assembly, AR4 for front passive restraint system, A81 for power passenger seat back recliner, A91 for decklid pulldown, B84 for side ornamentation, C68 for automatic temperature control, C89 for rear quarter interior reading lamps, DD8 for inside light sensitive tilting mirror, DF7 for heated and remote control outside mirrors, D64 for RH illuminated vanity mirror, D74 for LH illuminated vanity mirror, D83 for special monotone paint, D98 for bodyside and trunk accent stripe, FE1 for soft ride suspension, GU2 for 2.73:1 rear axle ratio, IQ2 for interior trim design, JM4 for power front disc/rear drum brakes with ABS, cast iron, K60 for 100 amp alternator, LV2 for 5.0L (307 CID) V8 with four barrel, Oldsmobile produced (but corporate by then), MW9 for THM200-4R four speed automatic overdrive transmission, MX0 for automatic transmission merchandising option, NA5 for Federal emissions, N34 for plastic woodgrain steering wheel, N91 for simulated wire wheel covers, locking, PG1 for 15x6 steel wheels, QVL for P225/75R15 puncture proof "gold" tires, T82 for automatic headlamp on/off control, UX1 for AM-FM stereo cassette, weather band, clock and ETR, UQ2 for four speaker system, U66 for extended range front speaker system, U75 for chrome power antenna, V73 for US/Canada vehicle statement, YL1 for leather/vinyl upholstery, 1SB for option package 2, the 65 codes are for Dark Sable trim items, 94L and 94U for Light Antelope lower and upper exterior paint, and 95 for Light Antelope Firemist vinyl top. Coast Cadillac is now Sunset Cadillac of Sarasota, FL at the same address. That 1990 MSRP price adjusted for inflation today is about $71,664 in 2024. I believe the owner whose name appears on the insurance card has since passed away. If the information on her is right, she'd be about 104 years old now. Dew Cadillac is now Dimmitt Cadillac of St. Petersburg, FL at the same address. Whoa Nelley, Brougham is soon to go home. "D" body looking a bit shoddy. Cadu and it's over for you. Firemist took a big dip. That's it, time to quit. 307 is going to Heaven. Q-Jet was a sure bet. Paint code 94 soon to be out the door. "And then it starts all over again. Got nothing at all", (The Smithereens/Indigo Blues/Blowup/1991) and this one took a big fall. Going to be flat and that's that. Please don't get squished because many here, I think even Benny and yup, you knew it, the Google Man are going to be very, very, very, very pissed.
Maybe a vehicle next to it did, or a burn drum barrel, fuse box on the underground parking lot...if it was by the same car, she'd be all crispy in no time. Had a family car burned once, there wasnt even time to spray it. A minute later all that was left was just the shell, the rims and the seats frame.
She is a beaut but with time patience money space to work on it she can be restored to her natural glory caddies coming in that type of color interior and exterior were very expensive even in the same format those colors help sale themselves without the pushy salesman
I was never a caddy guy but their interior leather made some nice bits of material for the old ford from the fifties, about fifty fifty five or six year model. That ford from the fifties must have serious damage or rust issues that prevented it from people who did care about those rigs
Man that's a shame on that Cadillac especially with how high cars are nowadays I'd buy that Cadillac I'm sure it wouldn't take much to repair what little burn damage there is on the car . Man I would drive that car they sell reproduction parts for cars like Cadillacs from this age it is just a shame at that Cadillac and as good as condition that it's in is in the yard. Great video though can't wait to see the next one.
Very nice car. To bad about that corner fire damadge. But I've seen way worce being repaired. But Im guessing the one who had it last just claimed on the insurance and sold it to the junkyard. In my country, a car like this would have been fixed and put back on the road. Even if used as parts car, plenty of good parts on her. Vinyl...aah...it gets destroyed very easy and just gathers moisture under it. Best is to completely remove it, and two tone paint the car.
Im just seeing this video today. I own a mint 1990 Brougham with 56,000 miles. Has this car been crushed. Im looking for the Electronic Level Control Ride Sensor that is located above the rear axle. Its a square six pin connector. If its available please let me know. I may also need the electronic dash cluster provided it works. Thanks
Sad. Bet wouldnt take much to get that caddy back on the road. Sure looks solid. Replace the vinyl top & fix the burned area, spacer & tail light fixture. Probably not much wrong with the drive train. Sure wasnt a rust bucket.
Please save this car I would myself but but won't have the money to save it until I get my taxes filed in about 7 months from now this old Cadillac probably won't that long it would be a good project for me if I had the money now I would be making arrangements ffor delivery to my drive way
@@delgray8523 I swung by there yesterday and it was gone. I doubt they crushed it that quickly. my guess is that someone bought it. I made the video on Saturday
Rear bumper alone the bottom is worth $1,000 in good shape, these cars bring good money, my Dad bought one 8 years ago paid $5,000 which was a steal, now is see some in poor shape going for that. its that chevy 305 or 350 TBI great engines! even if you get the 1990 with the Oldsmobile 307 still a great engine.
Very unusual to find the window sticker; this was a well documented, cared for car.

With a 307 V8, no doubt. Fresh fuel and some TLC and it's a runner.
I wouldn't doubt it
The driver's armrest is in good condition, that's unusual.
Benny and the jets that caddy is still pretty nice. The back is a easy fix it would be a nice car.

3 or 4 hours to put backon road. Car wash- can of spray paint plus drain & refill oils/fluids = mileage

Reading the VIN off the window sticker shows a Y code 307; I half expected a 9 code.

Somebody will take the front clip for a 2 door coupe.
