    Great advice!
Summary - 5 ways to be disciplined:
    1. Set goals in paper
    2. Start from small tasks
    3. Optimize your life
    4. Don't compare self discipline to others
    5. Not to wait for perfect moment day

The whole "waiting for the perfect day" was something I was definitely doing subconsciously. Thank you for calling me out on it- perhaps I can get more done efficiently

Your simple setting allows viewers to focus on you. Well done! Discipline should never waiver in retirement. It is so important for senior brains to not sleep in, not take naps, try to exercise throughout the day as one's body can, meditate, have hobbies, read, socialize, and learn new things constantly. I see too many people do none or very few of these activities and their health deteriorates. Discipline and being kind and positive always matter! Thank you!

Love that. My grandma will be 92 in three weeks and for most of her life has volunteered and gone on walks. Not so much walking the past few years, but we attribute her habit of active lifestyle to her ongoing health!

A quote I heard on one of my favorite childhood shows relates to the tip where we don't wait for the perfect time, "Don't put off until tomorrow, what can be done today." I have stuck with this quote for a while, and life feels great.

*Jamila, you come across as one of the most organised and put together people.*
I know we only see a small glimpse into your life and who you're, but I think the fact that you juggle so many things at once, means you must be quite self-disciplined and well organised.
I love having images to keep me on track. Always feels so satisfying when I'm able to create something in my life that once used to be just a shiny image I cut from a magazine.

Last point is really eye opening for me, I also learned one similarly important thing some years ago that is you don't also wait for person or situation to help you, like dont think that a miracle or one "hero" will come to your life to take you out of any unwanted situation you are in or any difficult phase of your life you are in.

  • @Sumerugeniusenjoyer
    @Sumerugeniusenjoyer 2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

Thank you for the video Jamila! I kept telling myself before that I should start practicing on self-discipline, but most of the time I just find it too difficult. But I met this one classmate of mine of who overflows so much elegance and self-discipline on her aura and made me want to be like her. When I happened to be in group with her, I kept on observing her action and how she talks. Then lately started to establish an action for myself to be like her. Inspiration really does it's magic to block you from mental obstacles that made you think it's impossible for you to do it. Lately I started to feel good about myself practicing self-discipline, until it slowly became a part of my personality. Though I'm not that highly self-disciplined as others, or like that classmate of mine, I could still say thanks to those habit, I tend to get things done before the deadline and often have time for myself. Also looking at my list of tasks slowly getting done drives me to work harder till I finished everything the whole day. Makes me feel like I'm finishing daily side quests in a game and feel not materially, but mentally rewarding.
Your channel also helps me so much on developing myself as I want to become a finer woman before I reached my 20s. Hehehe.

Thank you--this is great. I would also add that a good technique is to learn how to negotiate with oneself. By that I mean we should tell ourselves that there'll be a small reward if we complete an arduous task. An example would be: 'if I do X work task, I'll reward myself by checking Facebook for a few minutes or making a tea'.

When I was a kid, all I wanted was to have a career that pays well so I can buy whatever I want but now that I’m grown up and went through tons of setbacks from losing tons of people in my life, getting lost in the world with full of life traps, being ridiculed for pursuing my dreams, and so on, I can say that long-lasting happiness can’t be bought or earned because it comes from within us.

You are my role model! Thank you for these videos! Especially this one. How do you manage to incorporate looking put together every day? I'm interested in that kind of disciple as well. It is so time-consuming to keep on top looking like a lady when there are other important tasks to be done. Have you found a good way to maintain your clothes, hair, nails, etc? What is your beauty discipline? Thank you so much for your help! 🥰

Thanks for this video. It was a timely call for action to me. Would you be interested in creating a video on phone/social media addiction and ways to overcome it?

Noted! Keeping busy and scheduled helps not to be addicted to social media/ phone.
