you keep catching me off guard when you say you are going to solder the suction and liquid lines when in reality you're brazing phos copper rods. great video tho. we only use stay brite 8 and stay clean clean flux (sparingly). never had a leak or weak joint yet. i don't think i'll ever go back to brazing when doing residential hvac.

I really like your bags of valves and adapters. You should consider organizing those somehow. Stuff like that adds up in cost and keeping them organized cuts down on time looking for them as well as parts getting lost.
You could have used a clamp on the suction line armor flex to prevent burning it, that way you could have used one whole piece, with all that stuff you have in your truck I know you have clamps. LOL.
Nice job on the install Steve, You were right on to get that evaporator coil as high as you could above that heat exchanger. Do the Goodman condensors come with an internal filter/dryer ?
another good goodman install, i like cutting out a small sheet metal piece around a line set going into a plenum over lapping the main cover before brazing lines so its easier to remove a cover in a future, great video, how was a rabbit stew?
I know on Goodman “A” coils you’re have to change the pan if putting on oil furnace to a “High Temp” pan. Just a thought. Maybe that slasher that installed it didn’t do that.

Get out the old grinder, if the furnace is over 10 years I would replace her only when you are doing a over haul, other wise I want a good 20 years with some repairs .what a lift kit on the compressor
bradley morey best to run nitrogen while brazing to prevent the inside of the pipe from getting black scale on it .but not to much or you will build pressure and blow out the solder
Question, How do you handle the repair on the valve seal on a new unit if you did overheat the valve and you need to repair the seal considering the unit has the gas in it and if you off seat the valve to repair it you will loose the gas? Do you have to vacuum the line set to get the nitrogen out (while loosing the gas from the leaking seal) and then try to reclaim the rest-repair-then reinstall the gas?? Thanks for the video.
steven lavimoniere I would like to see the process if you ever run into a situation where one of the valves is leaking. It would be interesting to see how you find out it is leaking considering you might have nitrogen in the lines how you separate the nitrogen gas from the freon in the process. That would make a interesting video. Thanks for the response.
First babe don't overheat the valve!! Put some kind of a heat sink on or arout it like a wet ray or heat sink dope! Experience will help ya alot from doing stuff like that! I won't lie as I burned a few of them myself!! LOL

On oiled fired units it is always good to install a metal drain pan. The temp rise is higher on a oil furnace than a gas furnace.

Don’t you need a trap to over come the negative pressure in the unit so it can drain ?

How does a coil fall down it should have been installed 3 inches higher in the beginning for more air flow

amtpdb1 if the valve leak you have to pump down the entire system and replace the valves with new ones ,
