  • Starting with the Glove Box and how to remove it, as well as removing the Fuse Box For replacing the B+ terminal due to the Recall, more info about Recall on the topic down below. The Particular car is a 2009 BMW E92, but the procedure will be the same on any E9x from 2007-2012.
    This is not the Video on how to replace the B+ cable but how to get to it or how to see if you have electric problems in your BMW Fuse Box
    Possible Problems: - Loss of Power.

    Great video. Wonder if you can help I have 2008 bmw 318i. Have fault code 2acc dme relay fault . Can't seem to find it . Its not in box under bonnet have only one relay there a black one . Controls radiator fan. Any ideas.

    Good video. Got it all pulled down to just the single main power supply cable on the back. Got the bolt out but I cannot get the terminal to come loose from the board. It does not appear to be melted but it will not come off. Is that power terminal welded/soldered to the connection on that board? Looking like im going to have to replace that terminal connection on the end of that cable.

      hey. the wire melts itself to the board, so there is no safe way of removing the wire. You'll need to get the replacement kit and cramp the new clamp to the wire. that is unfortunate, but also understandable, since those cars' batteries are big and powerful, simply it's designed the way that the connector will pretty much weld itself.

    Is there a link to manual for this fuse box I have same fuse box but I don't have manual I'm getting errors maybe I'm missing fuses but do not know which goes where any help ?

    How exactly do u remove the 3 plugs on the back of the fuse box, they are black grey and blue, do u pull them out with pure strength or is there something I have to pinch in order for them to come out?

      Each of them have a clip, I used a pick tool to push on the pin, and then put it.

      Also, for the b+ terminal if it looks clean, don’t try to remove it, only if it’s burned, otherwise you will break it. There no way to remove it safely.

    I’m having issues with my 2011 328i. Windshield wipers starting up for no reason, hazard lights going off and then the car went completely dead. Battery is fine. Unsure how to even start. Any help is greatly appreciated

    those top screws on the fuse box are no joke to get to, what tool did u use, im pushing down on the blower motor about an inch and a half and theres still no room lol.

      I removed the screw from the blover motor, it's pretty gimmicky, but i think I used one step smaller torx bit, and I had couple extensions like in this tool kit - amzn.to/3gzvjTG

    After that my e93 have air bag error and the water Temp goes high and the engine Get to hot. What can i do ?

      Did you shorten some fuses?
      Check fuse box for burned fuses, read the codes.
      Last one is could be that you didn’t connect one of the connectors at the back of fuse box, or when you plug the connectors some of the fuses might pop out, make sure the connectors and fuses are fully seated!

      what do you mean you can't get the plugs back? the think is that each plug go in only one socket, but if you can't fit it, remove the fuses but make sure to make the picture of there location. also, at some point of video there pictures of back portion of the fuse box, just pause and try to get the complete picture.

    hey my car has no corrosion at the red wire or on the junction box but it has 0 power, could that still be the cause? i’m stuck and don’t know what to do

      There big fuse on the positive terminal of the battery, make sure it’s not blown. Also check the IBS, it seats on the negative terminal of the battery, you might want to replace it if that’s not a fuse. I have video on that topic as well

      @@Makhnovets would all of these cause the battery to drain? recently the battery drained, also if your talking about the red fuse box that sits on top of bmw battery, i’ve replaced it a couple times but same thing happens power cuts off immediately causing me to jump from battery which blows that fuse on the red box. stuck in a loop

    Hello Sir, I am having same issue with 2010 BMW 750Li xDrive 8 Cylinders 4.4L Twin Turbo. None of my fuse blown and I am getting power to fuse box fuses. Does that means, fuse box is good? Thank you very much.

      What codes it posted if you can read it?
      If that’s not the fuse box than look for the dme relay, if car completely dead, means you are missing either the ground or positive abdominal if power goes to fuse box but not after, make sure you check power on all of the fuses, and see what line is missing.

    Hi, I have no power on the connector to the AC blower fan controller, but the fuse is good. The harness recall was done on this car before I bought it. Seems like it was done right. No obvious signs of a short or a break. I suspect the issue might be in that junction box. Has anyone ran into the same issue?

    Will this work for a 2011 335i I swapped my battery I had a dead cell it started I turned it off now it won’t start Gita lighting malfunction headlights on no inside can anyone help 😅

      The IBS could be the problem. also, check for the Recall, if your car getting in this category, it definetly worst checking. Before going any farther, make sure to check the engine relay, or DME relay. beside that have no other clue.
      Do you have power when you pop the key?
      Any clicking or noice after you pop the key?
      Battery voltage, on battery and under the hood?

      As I mentioned in the Video, the main problem was B+ terminal, make sure you have good connection on the fuse box. Also the IBS could be the problem. If you connect the jumper cable to under the hood terminal, do you get power on the cluster?

      You are going to play around near the fuse box, which means there is active 12V line coming from battery. So yes definitely.

      Usually it comes down to the B+ connection point on the fuse box, if you can remove the cable with out damaging the fuse box, then you replace cable only,
      But usually you need replace both.

    How about a code for A731 (Supply, terminal 30g-f) what can cause this and what is the fix?

      you can check for burns or blown fuse, this code related to electric terminal, can't say much specifics, but it could be the reason.

      @@Lu-e what fuses getting blown? Make sure that line have no short. Or the module that is for the blown fuse is not throwing any messages, the next step would be a BCM body control module, it’s pretty cheap and if you can fond same module you can install it as is and later on do the coding/reset if it works.

      @@Makhnovets I’ve installed 6 BCM (JBE) boxes all have blown, I use protool to code it and every time I do it the module blows. I don’t see any blown fuses. At this point do you think the wiring harness could be the issue? Or what exactly. This is for a 2007 BMW 335i coupe

      @Lu-e did you by the chance monitor the power from generator? Or have over voltage message?
      I would blame the power regulator that is part of alternator, you can separate replace it, it one of not many things if not only one that can fry the components it can deliver way higher voltage that the car needs if it’s not working correctly, when it wears out it starts delivering high power. th-cam.com/video/QOuo1hd8oBw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=A7IufRY-q6wt6f9i

      @@Makhnovets no not yet my heater blower was just corroded as the person i purchased my bmw from had let it sit in the woods for a year. resulting in seals rotting away interior molded fuse box was corroded took out my mirrors. i had to take the scowl off near the windshield wipers and clean all seals. while i was there i checked to see if my blower turned and it was stuck due to rusting i had nudged it so it can freely spin and it started to work after that. i have the recall on my 328i i go on the 11th.

      @@Makhnovets started digging deep on the fuse box and all fuses are corroded bad. I tried to clean them all but it resulted in the vehicle not starting. I had to take the large black relay apart and clean its contacts I replaced it now it works again but the wipers are done for due to that relay being bad as well. I’m in a pickle and forced to do this repair thanks for the info.

    i removed the 4 torx and still seemed fixed on left side cant fiigure whats still holding it down? Wish u would show each step a little slower as far as showing the how to's for whatever your explaining instead of assuming we all know how to do even the "simple stuff" like for us WOMEN lol...

      So in total I removed 5x screws, the one that is visage upfront, that I said is for AC bracket, so this one was removed simply for convenience, but farther behind it there actual screw that holding the fuse box. There also 2x screw for BCM module but they strictly to hold the bcm in place, and that should be it, just try to move it around, it usually seats pretty tightly.

    There's missing steps to this! It seems that the AC assembly has to be removed to get this damn thing out.. I'm still stuck! I'm selling this garbage!!!🤬
