  • HOW TO CLEAN STAINLESS STEEL KITCHEN SINK LIKE A PRO. PRODUCT REVIEW
If you need to clean your kitchen sink because it has hard water spots, rust spots, calcium or lime spots we will show you how to do that. We demonstrated how to clean stainless steel kitchen sink that was looking terrible. With the help of Lime-A-Way cleaner, polishing compound, and stainless steel wipes we made our old sink to look like brand new again. In order to clean the stainless steel kitchen sink we used Lime-A-Way in order to remove the hard water spots, limescale deposits, soap scum, and calcium deposits. After that we used WEIMAN stainless steel cleaner and polish. Once you polish your kitchen sink it will not accumulate deposits so easy in the future. At the end we used WEIMAN stainless steel wipes and we rinsed everything really good after that. The results were amazing.

If you have stone countertops you should protect them from the Lime-a-way -- it can ruin certain types of stone.

    • @charleshines2142

Very true, be very careful what you use around them. If you have granite you might not like what happens when any kind of acidic or caustic cleaner gets on it. You might have a sealant on that but don't expect it to save you every time and don't rely on it to protect the stone or granite from any harsh chemicals.

I used a weak solution of CLR and water. Now here is the thing. Some people say they ruined their sink with it. Maybe they didn't dilute it enough. Maybe they left it sitting too long before rinsing. Maybe they did both. Just realize that the stuff is an acid and a lot of acids can damage surfaces when not used properly. My solution was weak, like maybe a a couple ounces to a quart of water. You can always try it a little bit stronger if it didn't seem to work the first time. Whatever you do rinse it, don't let it longer than you need to. There are instructions on the bottle and on the website of the manufacturer usually also. That will tell you what you should never use it on since it can permanently damage some surfaces.
When I rinsed my sink with warm water I was able to see it drying a lot quicker. You might notice the same thing. Just remember read the label and if in doubt consult someone or even call the manufacturer of your sink and or that product and ask them what to use or if the product you are considering is safe for it. Send them an e-mail and wait as long as it takes. If you spent a lot on that sink you really should do this diligence!!

As soon as he started scrubbing front to back in a repeat motion. I was thinking to myself, well maybe the grain is running front to back even though I can’t think of when I’ve ever seen a sink like that. Especially a double sink. But then he switched to scrubbing along the back left to right and I was like oh well….that sinks gonna look like Sh*t up close and in person now. Also, People don’t realize but that scrubbing pad on, the green side on the yellow and green sponges, that is actually very abrasive on certain surfaces and unless they’re mindful of what they’re using it on and the motion they’re using it could ruin the appearance of an item significantly quicker than most would imagine.

YES! GREAT ADVICE! Especially for us Renters, where we can't always run out & replace old, stained items. So this video helped immensely! Now, 2 questions?? What's your cleaning advice of stains, (several orange kool-aid, and burn marks) on Formica countertops??
And, the burnt on stains on the 4 burners on your stove. Its wayyy beyond grease, in fact I believe I've gotten most of the grease off- MOST. But burnt on stains UNDER the burner protectors. They all 4 need help, but 1??? O.M.G. I think its going to take a miracle! Previous Renter- no offense- but must've let ALOT of pans burn over. I really don't know. Never in my life have I seen anything like THIS one. I've tried EVERYTHING "I" can think of, but I'm sure pro- cleaners could offer better advice. We were about ready to say screw it, and try oven cleaner. But due to my chronic diseases, I'd prob have to stay away at least 24hrs, if not 48. I really, really can't breathe in those fumes. It really isn't the best for him either, but he's willing to take the sacrifice. 30 yrs... God knew I'd need a very patient man, who's a PRO At being a caregiver, we took care of my Mom together for 9 yrs. 1 year in, we lost our youngest son. But still had to meet her needs. I have no regrets, I know she'd do it for us in a NY minute, but I did NOT realize the toll it would take on me. And now, he's still caregiving..... his patient just switched. But fortunately I'm still able to do alot of things for myself, she was no longer to do. Like walk. Clean house. So I TRY to pace myself, otherwise I'm down all the next day. Thankfully he cleans, cooks, does laundry..... he gets my coffee & H20 every morning. God blessed me with an ANGEL, who specializes in giving GREAT TLC. And RARELY, very rare does he complain. And the best part? We're best friends too and make each other laugh! He has saved Mom's life & mine many times. So he's sleeping, I'm trying to rush, yet pace, to surprise him with finally helping him. We just moved in this house in Sept, and he did EVERY PIECE OF PACKING, LOADING, NOW UNLOADING, UNPACKING... Makes me feel so guilty! He had to hire 2 Men & A Truck for big stuff, but all rest has been on him, completely alone.
So IF you can help with those other questions, he'd be sooo happy & surprised if I got them done, he'd be shocked! And I want to shock him! AND TO THANK HIM FOR ALL HE'S DONE FOR ME !!!
HOPE YOU CAN HELP ME! WISH I coukd send a pic of stove--- geeeezzzz loissseee!!!
    Sorry for my long story!
Merry Christmas and God Bless you & yours!!!

I was following a different video that said to rub the sink down with a ball of aluminum foil, and I ended up with the same results with the sink on one side, and the sink on the other side basically turned uniformly dark, went from stainless steel to "gunmetal gray" 😣😣😣
I tried washing it off with everything and it wasn't working. I had a bottle that I had forgotten about, of Method stainless steel cleaner and polish and I figured I would try that. It actually got rid of the black marks! You can buy it in supermarkets in Canada, I assume it's available elsewhere, but it's definitely available online.
Considering all the work I did using that darn ball of aluminum and how much worse the sinks looked, I have to wonder if I just use the spray in the first place whether I would have gotten a good result. I will definitely be using it in the future.
