If you go narrower 33 inch tires you can fit them on a stock height Xterra, with just the melt mod to the inside of the front plastic fender liners. No need to cut metal.
Nice budget build, did I miss anything? Wheels & Tires $3,000 Rooftop Tent $900 Dosecc bumper $800 Sony A/V $300 Shackle Kit $100 Fog Lights $80 Seat Cover $50 Budget Cost Total $5,230 Looking for my first overlander and Xterra has checked most of my boxes. Affordable, reliable, capable. Thanks for adding to the inspiration. 👍
Just did an Old Man Emu on my 07 Off Road, lifted just a couple inches looks real good, tires are just a little over stock size, no rubbing at all. Got it through Nisstec, great service. My issue is trying to fill with gas, vent must be messed up, takes a half hour to fill. Tows better with the OME suspension, rides firmer.
Hi Jordan, I have a 2010 Xterra Offroad. I was just wondering if you had any issues with bad gas mileage, other than the already bad mpg the Xterra normally has? If you did, what was your issue. Thanks for your time.
@@damondechurch4592 In fact, I have 285x75x16s on the stock wheels, but did have to trim the inner wheel well protectors (NOT the metal fender, but the black plastic guards inside the fenders -- they rubbed constantly and were wearing through. But I was able to cut them with heavy-duty scissors and a box cutter without having to cut the lips that clamp it to the metal fender. No fuss, no muss, no bother -- and no change to the exterior trip and image. (I bought BF Goodrich All Terrain T/As and just replaced them -- at 82,255 miles!)
spacers suck. get rought country frontier struts and iron man leafs in the rear. need to do a mavotech uca off rock auto, the are spc in a diffrent box. wouldnt have had to cut anythign with that lift. guessing you have wheel spacers as well. should really just do a titan swap.
Love the X! I’m also in Utah. Currently building my 07 xterra. Great walk around video.
The moment you said Oldman EMU i was like YES!!! I got those with the bilstein 5100 shocks. Makes the rear end very solid plus a 2'' lift.

Like that front bumper!
Great video. I like your build, I'm definitely using your truck as inspiration
I install bilstein 6112 that adjusts so no spacers, but like the spacers for the wheel/tire.

what size tires are just a little bigger?

Where did you get that bumper, thing is sweet!
Ditch that hood stick and get some struts for it. One of the best things I've changed out on my x.
Nice X! Looking to do the spacer lift soon. Any issues with the dreaded coil bucket contact?
Just get Bilstein 5100 can use your stock coil spring get 2" lift and no coil bucket contact.
Looks so good! About to buy an xterra myself what are your wheel specs?

can you share the bumper URL?
Great video!
I want to get a rtt, what is your mounting set up?
I like to know why you did not try a body lift before you started cutting the front fenders up
Nice! Where you able to fit a spare underneath by chance??
Quick question, where did you buy your conversion spacer?
Please dont take it the wrong way. Personally I think truck would look much better with stock wheels couple up with 285/75/r16.
He probably wouldn’t have to trim out the fender to fit 285/75 if he kept the stock wheels

Any chance you can send me the link to the loft kit that you’re taking about for around $130

Nice Xterra, I have a 14 I'm slowly getting parts together for.
