-Maybe the most amazing ted talk and presentation I have ever seen
      -Off Balance On Purpose
-Life Balance is an infinity sign of all areas including Work, Social, Spiritual, and Passions. It is not steady or concrete. Rather it is always moving and requires negation like juggling and switching from focusing to one ball to another constantly. It is not seeing all balls at once. It is finding and making use of the time that the space between the balls gives us. Like the unicycle, we are not always standing straight. We are learning forward and pushing ahead and then leaning back. Every ball comes up at different times to enter the area of focus but the rest/all balls are always being moved and taken care off. All plates continue to spin. No balls are every dropped. However they do take places in the realm of my focus.
-If I limit myself to what is Comfortable I am denying myself Adventure and Possibilities I am not aware of.
-Audible book added to wish list ;)

Dan, I have been struggling for quite sometime especially past few months, basically burning out trying to succeed in life, career etc. But I'm failing, I'm not upset by failure, its I grew up with a hard work ethic, athletic doing mma, snowboarding, working great jobs, married, house. All gone.
That's ok, I worked hard to build my life back. But to hopefully explain my main concern is I'm currently working alot, I dont have alot of time to take care of my physical. Especially mental health. I recently became sick with not important on diagnosis. But I always push myself to please everyone, I come last. I'm exhausted. Tired, sad, I keep pushing. Problem its taking its toll. I know things I need and should do but with all honesty I'm not doing well. Appreciate anything. Thanks..

OUTSTANDING! I love that Dan is actually doing/BE-ing his metaphors, instead of standing up there talking about what we "should" do like most consultants and talks do. I have been preaching this message for years, and now I have a fun way to share the message in support of our purpose and values. Thank you Dan!

As a professional speech and presentation coach for 25+ years, I’ve observed more than my share of speeches. Dan’s presentation is absolutely brilliant. He is a master of his craft and an unmatched talent. I believe it was the first time I applauded while watching a video on my computer.

Today, after listening to the inspiring audiobook “Purpose Economy” by Aaron Hurst, I experienced the punchline of inspiration for a purpose-driven economy (balancing what I call our “living energy currency”). Just as intentionally walking is actually an intentional controlled fall, Dan,s observations about deliberately living off balance ring true to me as well.
This TED talk titled “Off Balance on Purpose” actually became my delightful punchline for the book I had just finished called “Purpose Economy.” What wonderfully captivating physical, verbal and video illustrations of being “Off Balance on Purpose” demonstrated by Dan Thurmond!!
    Thank you Dan!

Entertaining. But, a balance in motion (dynamic) does not make it off-balance. Pushing your boundaries depends on your ability to re-establish your balance while in motion. But the dynamic balance involves forces, and not just weights (more commonly called equilibrium). Small changes in balance/equilibrium might be required to change the motion, but if you don't re-establish it right quick, you're no longer in control.
