      If ur not joking you’ve got to be retarded. 1. It CLEARLY says r7 on the side in the literal first 30 seconds of the video.
      2. Yamaha doesn’t make a fully faired 500
      3. No other bike looks like an r7. It’s very distinguishable

I've had zero problems with it after 3000 miles. my friend had bought and sold 2 used motorcycles in the space of 3 months and they both had an endless list of problems, costing him way more than buying new. New is definitely the way to go for a beginner... just gotta take care of her.

    Ride strong, Ride Long. Stay Safe and Alive. For your own safety remember the acronym ATGATT. All the Gear ALL the Time. The one time you don't is when Road Rash hurts soooooooooooooooooo much. Might be a PIA but when you are riding at 70 you can thank me, but, I will be long gone. I've ridden since 1978 and found out the hard way the road rash is no joke. You may survive it, but, will carry the scars and probably pebbles under your skin forever. Since that day, even in 90* weather, I put on the leathers (with zipper vents) and wear padding in all the key points. (Back, elbows, shoulders, knees and hips) Just some old wise advise from one that fukked around and found out. Have Fun bruh.

      @oscarvlogz1672 1. get the basics of biker gear (good helmet, gloves and boots but please get a jacket and trousers as well if you can)
      2. Watch loads of videos about how motorcyclists crash or get into accidents (so you learn how to avoid those situations and fully understand the risks)
      3. Do whatever your equivalent to a beginner motorbike course is in your area (In the UK that's a CBT course, in the US it's an MSF course)
      4. Get a low powered bike that will let you make all the mistakes you're going to make at safe and controllable speeds (125cc to 400cc is a perfect starting point)
      5. practice all the MotoJitsu drills on your bike until you can do them in all weather conditions and at any time of the day

      Freeway is safer than surface roads. Everyone traveling in the same direction, no paint stripes, manhole covers, collection of gravel, people turning left in front of you, drivers making unexpected U-Turns etc etc etc. Been riding since 1991 in 5 different states. It's always safer on the freeway. Unless you are being a moron and lane splitting at excessive speeds, or weaving in and out of traffic like a squid

      A 40 year old CBR400RR would beat it in a race. It's only good for racing if you spend 10 grand on tuning and coz Competition Rules have been changed so much. This guy obviously didn't by it for it's ( lack of) performance he bought it for it's look and economy or he just didn't do any research before handing his money to a Stealership.
      Look at all the inline 4 600's available that will leave this standing when the lights go Green, CBR6, ZX6R, YZF6, R6, GSXR6. Do not copy this guy, don't be a Sheep, do your own research. I'm not having a dig at this guy, if that's his informed choice of ride then he knows what it is and he chose it and he's happy. I just don't want new riders missing out on better bikes and spending twice or three times as much money on bike that's a sheep in wolf's clothing. If you're short legged there are VFR4's ,CBR4, ZXR4,GSXR4, FZR4's that would equal this bikes acceleration and sound sweeter.
      Tall folks wanting a Performance Bike might have to go for larger CC , 750 or 1000, just not to feel cramped and there are 1000's of good old bikes under 3 grand.

    About to do the same with my new bike in 2 weeks, reaaaally nervous. Only rode a 100cc motorbike for a week before on quiet suburban streets and 2 days in a course. never been to the "open" road. Trip also gonna last 1h30m and first 30 minutes of that is gonna be trying to escape the busy downtown area. Starting on an older 25k km '12 CB400 Super four VTEC. since i got a good deal on it and it sounds mental!! Lets see how this goes

    Missed 3rd a couple times but a nice and easy ride home. I used to ride dirtbikes when I was younger but I'm thinking of picking up a bike for the street and this looks like a great option. I don't need to be able to do 160mph I just want to have some fun cruising

    • @ak23r7
      @ak23r7  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Then this is the bike for you. Obviously not 160 like a 600 but 140 is plenty and the power is so nice for the streets. I’ve ridden plenty of my buddies 600s and they left me in the dust at lights because o was giving it r7 amounts of gas and moving nowhere.

      @@esco7500 man I love it. Got about 4700 kilometres on it. I think the CB has a little more power than the R7. The inline 4 is smooth and sounds amazing! If you don’t mind a naked bike I would recommend that. Or if you want a fairing go with the CBR650R!

    He said he bought his first bike, obviously not his first ride. I just bought a white r7. I'm waiting to do my class, never been on a bike. Today, I decided just to idle around our apartment complex parking lot, so I managed to get it going in 1st gear after stalling 4 times. Compared to mine, his shift is very smooth. Lots of riding experience I reckon. Nice to see what this bike is like. Enjoyed the video!

      How did you buy a bike without a motorcycle license? Did you just not get insurance yet?

    • @HA_Horizons
      @HA_Horizons ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @Sgt. donny donowitz I bought my first motorcycle recently, but from a private party, not a dealership. All I did was bring the money, then I got the bike and title.
      To register it and get plates, all I needed to do was bring the title to the DMV check a box on a form saying it was insured, and pay taxes+fees.
      To get it insured and registered I didn't need my license.

    Nice bike. Don’t pull the clutch coasting to a stop or around turns. You loose all control over the bike. Just a tip. Also always always always check your mirrors at a light or stop. And stay over to the left at lights to let cars go past you instead of rear ending you when they’re not looking. Which is all the time.

Would anyone recommend buying a used and an older model of any of the 2 bikes that has 10k+ miles on it, or is it a must to buy a newer model?
