I like the song, but it's a lot more mellow than a Scratch event would be. If Meenah's scratch ever gets the full flash treatment, I'll bet money a more dramatic track will play for it.
At first I thought the video was broken. Which is kind of cool, because technically the scratch is fixing something... that is broken.... That made 0 sense.
I imagine that this is what someone were to hear during the process of scratching their session. The first minute or so would be there to dissuade anyone who would scratch the construct, maybe to have them reconsider the choice The piano would be there instead to encourage whoever is scratching, since they likely at that point have already decided to scratch, with no hesitation
The first minute reminds me of the sound of a corrupting hard drive, or a total wipe ala Windows reinstallation. Or datamoshing. The sounds of bits of data being changed, corrupted, deleted or fixed... All to create something new.
thats what i have been thinking too, but it may be morse code sentences mashed up. my guess is that they spell out scratch or something edit: i do not remember saying this
I had to skip the first bit of it. The pitches were hurting my ears until it could be better drowned out by the beat. ;o; But a good song, as always! ;33
I said technically, with the screen glitches and stuff. Hello? I didn't mean it actually played at those parts, I meant it would be appropriate to play at those parts of the comic.
ok ive listened to ALOT of homestuck music, i may sound stupid for this but. ive never heard a majority of music in homestuck, so im wondering if there is any point in the music or have i been reading homestuck wrong?
change greer This song simply thematic of the scratch and everything it implies for a session. The [S] panels featuring music are paced around the songs and not the other way around, so there are plenty of action scenes left that will in part be influenced by songs written years prior to their appearance. Also almost all the songs are now associated with a single piece of album art, but their relevance to the story is not set in stone.

The sound of a hard reboot of the universe.
Diretooth Knox Well, you're not wrong.
@Skeety _
It's finally complete...the power of gravity!
The sounds of a dying session.
+Keilo No. Caliborn's session is dead. Their session is null.
It bore no fruit.
Harambe Shot First Which is called a null session.
woodfur00 I know I just thought I had to say something.
+Harambe Shot First Why?
Has anyone else noticed that if you look really carefully you can see the word "SCRATCH" spelled out in the energy lines in the top left hand corner?
woah, you're observant
Hotaru Purcell Holy Hell. I never would have caught that.
GOD DAMNIT YOU ARE RIGHT
OMG I SEE IT! so well hidden :0
Holy shit, I hide texts like this all the time, I've never seen it somewhere else. It's... so much damn cooler than I thought it was.
Don't worry you guys he is going to be fine, it's just a scratch
**gets back to the past 24 hours**

Hello
yeah, same for [S] Flip
I love listening to the nice sounding homestuck songs that are also about really cool concepts, like resetting a universe
Whoa, the word 'SCRATCH' is in all that green. That's pretty damn cool.
I like the song, but it's a lot more mellow than a Scratch event would be. If Meenah's scratch ever gets the full flash treatment, I'll bet money a more dramatic track will play for it.
my computer when i run a game on 1 higher graphic level than its supposed to be
At first I thought the video was broken. Which is kind of cool, because technically the scratch is fixing something... that is broken....
That made 0 sense.

I flipped out, forgetting that I had clicked on this when I looked at another tab
I expected my laptop to start emitting smoke
the sound of a resetting universe

Ah the great days of Mr. Game and watch
No, that would be awesome. It would have glitchy effects on purpose, and this song would be playing in the background. Freakin' amazing.
Absolutely jamming to the first minute of this
Beats to reset the universe under slightly different parameters to
great for swapping the time in which 2 sets of magic space babies ride a meteor down to earth
This is the song of my poor wifi router as I allow flash for the 50th time
I played this and told my dad that my computer got scratched, he started to think my computer was going to blow up because on the music XD
Some bits of this sound like they could be morse code. Has anyone tried translating them? :>
SOMEONE WHO IS SMART DO SOMETHING
FandomTrash FullMetalUnderGem Wow.
it might be a broken S.O.S, i doubt it is but it's my best guess it just reminds me of the bit in indigo heir
thats what i have been thinking too, but it may be morse code sentences mashed up. my guess is that they spell out scratch or something
edit: i do not remember saying this
this song is basically mc donalds ice cream machine
I did a hard reboot of my computer to this song once. It didn't end well. I didn't know what I was doing.
this reminds me of some of the music from the game OFF which is kind of interesting and im certainly not complaining
it does? i should have really gotten into OFF by now
Yeah. I don't know why my mind thinks OFF and Homestuck are related in any way, though...
@@lucy4666 maybe its the sort of mystery of them? Or the gruesomeness?
mom, hold your son, hug him one last time before it turns into nothing.
this is a beautiful piece of artwork
it almost reads like lines of code
Please wait while we restart your computer...
Looks like he tried to hammer some nails with Zillyhoo.
Omg I thought it was my phone making that sound! ;A;
ahahah lol same with meh xDDa
Isn't it though. You were listening to this on your phone right.
Still my favorite track on this album.
I can't tell if the construction noise outside my apartment is part of the song or not
not sure who did the album art for this one but christ its pretty
Smells like time.
1:06 oh my god I can hear sans’ typing noises...
I had to skip the first bit of it. The pitches were hurting my ears until it could be better drowned out by the beat. ;o; But a good song, as always! ;33
Gog this makes mr want to go watch cascade!! Homestuck for life
I wouldn't say it's dubstep, more like glitch music.
this came up on autoplay awhile ago and i hated it but now that im actually listening its kinda good
This track always makes me a bit sad
the sound at the beginning kinda sound like terezis objection! at the beginning of [s] flip :0
4:03
True lab discovered.
hmm it does sort of remind me of the true lab theme
Same
even if i hate Undertale tho' gotta say thats true, it sounds like True Lab.
Well, Homestuck DID partially inspire Toby Fox to create Undertale, sooooooooo....
this song's fricken busted.
It sounds like glitchy Sims music..
when does this glitch sound even happen?
I don't think it ever does.
Technically, Act 6 Act 6 Intermission 1 and onward in the Alpha Session until The Pipeorgankind flash.
I said technically, with the screen glitches and stuff. Hello? I didn't mean it actually played at those parts, I meant it would be appropriate to play at those parts of the comic.
Leo Moreno ...that’s not what ‘technically’ means
If theres a glitch in the Homestuck song that makes this music play i will die
This is actually really pretty to me.
Burpigwet
same..this music is so pretty and chill
Am I the only one who notices the resemblance between this and the beginning of Tony Cicoria's "Lightning Sonata"?
Null session
Replace Konn, Susser Todd from EoE with this.
No, really, it's awesome.
Yes, I do. I was just unsure what to call it. We never got much description of a scratch.
That's awesome.
To be honest, parts of this remind me of Snowhead Temple from Majora's Mask!
thought my computer was fucking up for a bit there
nuts!
The glitch noises are too fucking lit for me, help.
is anyone else getting undertale ost's amalgam vibes around the 4 minute mark?
At first I thought that my computer was glitching out. XD
Ok Colgate breath.
It says "SCRATCH" in the...Do I call it the green lightning or the scratch?
SECOND CHANGE
does anyone have a version without the scratchy sounds, at least at the beginning?
kind of radiohead-y
only a bit at the beginning tho mayb
Damn it Slenderman!
@Plakhanje It Happens Via the Scratch

awwh shiet
System reboot. Please stand by for data reformat...
