Getting ready to go RVing? Enjoy seeing your videos from your excursions. Great job as always, Mike you amaze me. You know the old saying “your a Jack of all trades” but in this case “ your a Mike of all trades” Love you Mike keep them coming!!!!
I thought you were "retired", my grandfather moved rocks in his yard when he retired, you install transmission coolers. The key is keeping active, thanks for the tutorial. No Big Deal.
Hi mike. I’m a big fan. This ain’t got nothing to do with transmission coolers but I would love to see you do a video on how you video tape your videos. The types of cameras you use. Tips and tricks and progression of your video taking over the years. Food for though. Thanks man keep up the good work.
Coulda just cut the return line and routed it through the cooler, then back into the trans, in effect utilizing both coolers “in series” Which is recommended by Hayden.
Bottom line was the line that filled the bottle, yes? So, the fluid is flowing from the trans to the radiator through that bottom line, yes? Then why did you install the return line to the trans with the flow indicator pointing at the transmission through the bottom line?
He did it right. Oil into bottom of radiator, out of top of radiator, into auxilary cooler, back to tranny. The filter arrow shows that fluid is flowing back to tranny. It is the return line after all.
Great vid !!!! Did you go with the cooler before the radiator/condenser ! Or after the radiator/condenser? I ask this bc my TC Unit runs in a condenser that is in one unit with my radiator!! only the too 30% of the radiator is my TC CONDENSER cooler !! And i like to install an extra cooler but i am not sure if i should bypass the oem condenser , or just connect the extra cooler before or after my oem condenser!! Btw the condenser has an by pass valve with a thermostat so that the TC oil will be the rite temperature for the TC in case of cold winters ,,, i kinda wanna keep that thermostat valve functionality and may be add new cooler after the OEM condenser , this way, the thermostat will do his job letting oil flow at rite temp. is important that the temps are in the 160-175 range steady in normal driving conditions and temps!!! max highest should only be up to 185 at most !! Thats were i like the temps to be no matter what ambient temp is out side and no matter how hard i drive the Tc !! rite now my TC at 45 * weather will get to 195 * normal driving !! Imagine how high it will be in 90* weather!! SMH ,, so thats why i will install me one this new coolers to make sure thrres no spike in temps no matter what conditions the TC will face!!! Let me knw how you suggest to best connect this extra cooler to an condenser that has a term in the lines
So you only cut the return cool line and didn't touch the hot line going into the radiator right? Im doing this to a 97 cougar and searching for a little info
How much of a difference in temp was there? I have the same size cooler on my wagon and seems to stay pretty warm still, but I do have it routed through the radiator one first then to the trans.
I really appreciate how you approach all that you do with your "no big deal" "get it done" attitude. Great approach to life.
Thanks Colin, Mike

That's what I did, thanks
@@mikehaduck-travel-mechanic884 Yeah you did 😂, my bad I was half asleep when I watched the first time. I’m gonna do the exact same thing.
Cool Mike
Good Job
Thanks John, mike
Other vid mentioned that doesn't matter which line goes to which port on the trans oil cooler.
Hi Maz, maybe, I waited it that way,
Bottom line was the line that filled the bottle, yes? So, the fluid is flowing from the trans to the radiator through that bottom line, yes?
Then why did you install the return line to the trans with the flow indicator pointing at the transmission through the bottom line?
Hi Charles I don't remember but I know it's all going the way I want, no problems yet, Mike

its been so long I cant remember,
great video, what made you put a cooler on? what was the issue?
Hi Mike, a friend from Florida stopped by, he use to rebuild trans and told me to do it, thanks
i thought most cars have these allready? pantiac grand prix+ 2002-3.1. ?
I heard that aliens always use two clamps! That and Portland in every mix.
Hi Jim, mo Portland here but I did one time use it for body work, didn't last too long, lol, Mike
So you only cut the return cool line and didn't touch the hot line going into the radiator right? Im doing this to a 97 cougar and searching for a little info
Hi, I remember going out with the pressure line in in with the return line
I have always been a 1-clamp guy.
Thanks Pete. Mike

Hi Cody, that's what I did, out of the trans, then the radiator then the cooler and back to trans
What line went back into the bottom connector on the radiator?
I can't remember, I showed it when I started it up
very interesting!
Thanks Sue, mike
Is that an anchor tattoo on your left forearm?
Hi David, yep got that in Pakistan 1974, only one I got
this was helpful
Thanks, Mike
I would’ve just done a bypass
Thanks Mike
