    Not a chance. There's absolutely zero chance we will be using a digital wallet. We will never put a debit card or similar in a machine. Especially after the breech that took place in Vegas before. Too much can go wrong, and all it takes is one time. It's cash or nothing for us.

    Welcome back Dave. Great tip today. I've commented how I've been using it. When I signed up I was asked to add a card but said no, here's $200 load that on there and off I went with my bankroll. Taking wins on the go has helped build my bankroll. Wasn't aware I could use it to shop/eat. Cool. 👍

    Question: Why does Class 2 machines earn "Rewards Points At A Reduced Rate" compared to a Class 3 machine?

    • @---ny4ys
      @---ny4ys 29 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Better win rate. Same reason video poker has a worse payout. Anything you can win at with decent frequency is going to be rough on points. Best on points is your lotto style link machines etc. But they'll run your pockets fast.

    Everyone said they would refuse to have a device that listens to them in their home when Alexa came out. Now everyone has an Alexa. It may take a while to catch on, but when this becomes the main option, convenience will eventually catch on. That’s my guess. But I’m a wrong a lot. I could see how this will become common when someone doesn’t want to run to the ATM. I could see the next generation who never carry cash like this option. Our money is digital. This is just the next step.

    Morning Dave
    Great detailed explanation with hands on viewing. My positive item is, "I don't hv to carry cash around the casino."
    That's a big positive to me.
    Oh question: when u hit a hand pay can they load it on yr card or do u hv to be hand paid and then load it onto the card.
    I'm not a fan of everyone seeing u get a hand pay.

    I do agree about the negative issue of cost to use like an ATM basically.. the $9 charge, imho, is way too high for starters .. the ability to set a deposit limit until you change it and/or limit per x number of hours/days would be a good enhancement feature.. no word on if that will be in any future update. That said, it all does work pretty easily once you understand the players card determines how the print button works. I personally like it, but at $9 to load external funds, thats a nice to have feature that will prob never get used by me anyway, its way too high of fee.

    I like the concept but I don't like using any type of debit/credit cards because my wife & I have had cards skimmed on a few occasions. We like paying with cash and keep all of our cards locked now. Plus to me it seems like having the digital wallet for the casino is a better way for the casino and IRS to keep track of a persons winnings/losses for tax purposes.

    • @kevinb4079

      The one pro about this for me is that I wouldn't need to bring a physical card with me at all. Between the wallet and google pay I have no reason to even bring cards.

    This is how they will keep track and tax you on ALL your wins, not just $1,200 and over.
    If (when) they start doing this with table games, it's all over. No more gaming.

      @GambleSmart  29 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      They are already tracking all of your win and losses through your players card the differences is that they don't have to report it to the IRS unless it's 1,200 or more on a single spin.

    I use it like a lockbox. I go with say 500 bucks. Play 100 on a machine. If I double I cash out to the wallet. If I lose 50 I cash out to the wallet. When I am out of cash, the session is over and I go to the cashier and withdraw

  • @WildBillRidesAgain
    @WildBillRidesAgain 28 วันที่ผ่านมา

    Man that's a convoluted mess. I think I'll stick to the leather wallet. I can't see the casinos going to this unless there is an upside for them and that would mean there's a downside for the player. Side note, if you ever pull money against a credit card you have been playing too long.

  • @kevinb4079
    @kevinb4079 29 วันที่ผ่านมา

    I have daily withdraw limits on my ATM card. Wondering if depositing to the wallet will trigger them or if it's more like a purchase where I have no limits set on my card. It would not be good if this bypasses a person's limits set at the bank. Also if using a credit card would it be considered a cash advance or a purchase? I have cash advances blocked on my credit cards. I'm disciplined enough so shouldn't be a problem. But I would still be bringing cash with me. I would just deposit my session bankroll into a machine and then into the wallet. Then I would load my budget for each game from the wallet. That is better then having to track how much you spent from an inserted voucher. It would also save many trips to the redemption machine. Can you withdraw to your bank and what charges?

    I won't be using that if Vegas starts to use it, it's too dangerous. Having to put in your pin number multiple times is a security feature, but there will be a lot of criminals that will be roaming to scout to find out your pin and then steal your card or worse, you leave it in a machine. Free play and earned play is one thing on the card, but it's far less than what you can put in on that digital wallet.
