I love the overall theme of your songs. It reminds me of Victor Hugo. You imply the view not of what life is, but of what it has to and should be, and that is the deepness so deared in the modern musical scene.

I think the video is about the end of childhood and the hard transition to adulthood. this gap that make us very confuse about leaving home and comfort zone and search for our own kind of freedom.

Anyone who has been anywhere close to the situation of that kid in the music video knows, That moment before you throw the Teddy Bear (The last piece of your innocence and childhood), It's Real. And your decision to Throw that Teddy Bear into the fire or not, is what will determine the rest of your life. And you can only wish to be blessed by a moment of clarity from a Loving Relationship which begins to turn everything around, like Funeral Suits showed so beautifully here.
I don't know who needs to hear this: But DON'T throw that Teddy Bear into the fire.
Hold onto it, with everything you have. Even if it becomes the most embarrassing thing to you, you have to keep that Teddy Bear. You have to hold onto your Childlike Hope in Tomorrow. If you can, it WILL be with you the rest of your life. And it will be worth it.

the video is so good, I think it tries to represent what it means to grow up, the way we start to take care more.of our parents (when he covers her mother while she's sleeping) and how we try to hide our young part and look like an adult, (the weapon, when he drinks)
also I think there's a reference to loving someone and a break up (when he draw the heart on the mirror)

In this video and song I can see my own life. I'm also different from my others and think differently, so I can't find a common language with them and often feel myself lonely, I also started smoking and drinking, trying to feel myself free. Now all this become harder to manage with this because I want to be an artist and study at the art academy, but this profession won't give enough money to live in this world, so I need to forget about my dreams and learn another speciality, that will be well-paid. It seems that I'll never be free.

My favorite track off the album. It's a shame they're disbanding after only their sophomore effort. I loved Lily of the Valley so much, and I'm really digging Islands Apart, so it's sad that we'll be getting no more from them.
