    Nice job! I also had that tandem pump oil leak on my ‘04 V10, dripping oil onto the cat. Also both manifolds were cracked- they are stainless so I ended up taking the engine out to do TIG them up and sort the tandem pumps. Good shout on the plate to protect the aux heater hoses 👍🏻

    • @UncalBertExcretes
      @UncalBertExcretes 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      To be fair your engine needs to be a right shit box to fail an emissions test. Theres tons of old diesels out on the road with none of this emissions tech installed on them, they get through mot's no prob.
      All this emissions tech just helps engines burn cleaner for longer. There will become a time where he will need this stuff back on the car to pass an mot, or rebuild the engine so it no longer pollutes beyond the legal limit

    Hi, you mentioned greasing the turbo linkages. How do you get access to them? Once in a while I get them (or one of them) stuck and the car goes into limp mode. It is always cold weather when that happens and it always fixes itself when I turned the vehicle off and start her back again. It hasn't done it for about a year now so maybe there was some grease crud that somehow got loose and the linkage is again free to work as it should but I'd like to be able to access them and see what's going on in there (and grease them of course). Thanks.

    Soon to blank the EGR & clean the inlet manifold and fit a 3 inch DPF delete downpipe on my Leon FR+ (CFJA engine). Question - would i need to buy a new inlet manifold gasket? Hopefully i can achieve 230bhp on the standard turbo (backbox is gutted) ..
