    no Chelsea fan ever called Sterling world class, majority let alone didn't want him in the first place lol. He's been average since he signed, ruining counter attacks by stopping to face the defender slowing the game, forcing touches when it should be a one-touch shot or pass, selfishly taking over pens and free kicks. Oh and not cutting-back on a 2v1 against the keeper 3 times this season

    Sterling has never really made the effort to build a relationship with the fans. He's on £325k a week and some of his performances are well below par and lazy! He also NEVER goes to thank and applaud the supporters at the end of games. Rarely gives interviews or interacts with fans. There's a definite feeling he's just here for the paycheck. So it's no surprise that he doesn't get the patience that other struggling players like Torres, Werner and Mudryk get from the stands. Simon has no right to have an opinion on how Chelsea fans should feel. We are the supporters, we pay our money and we have a right to voice our dissatisfaction .

      What has how much he gets paid got to do with anything? The problem I have with most English football fans is this bitterness on how much a players earns and thus gives them the right to boo their own.....STUPID BEHAVIOUR!!! Raheem Sterling had a bad day at the office like we all do. I hope Chelsea win teh FA Cup.

  • @BSMAG87
    @BSMAG87 หลายเดือนก่อน +22

    He has been nothing short of woeful recently, but it's his selfishness (from not squaring the ball to teammates free for a tap-in and fluffing the chance himself on multiple occasions to yesterday with the pen and free kick) and laziness (leaving his LB exposed time and again because he didn't bother to track back) that have put Chelsea fans off him. We'll back a guy that works hard and gives his all, even if he isn't delivering on the pitch (just look at the likes of Torres and Timo Werner, who never got booed)
    Weird thing is, hard work and application were two qualities you'd say Sterling always had but maybe he's burnt out? The other frustrating thing is that Poch isn't helping Sterling's case. The fans are getting angry because there are other players showing some decent form that he's been starting ahead of week in, week out

  • @TKs-Dreff
    @TKs-Dreff หลายเดือนก่อน +7

    He's on £325k per week.
    His wage says world class, his performances are bettered by £100k per week players, regularly.
    The problem with Sterling, is similar to Poch, we were ok with being less than world class, but when you make errors that appear to be schoolboy level, that's when they get wrote off. With sterling it's failing to square the ball in FOUR recent 2 v 1s, and Poch's refusal to be PROactive, rather than REactive with his subs..

    • @gerardonochie3408
      @gerardonochie3408 หลายเดือนก่อน

    • @TKs-Dreff
      @TKs-Dreff หลายเดือนก่อน

      @gerardonochie3408 sure, and if players are trying to do the right thing, I'm ok with them failing. When he went through, 1 on 1 with the keeper against Leicester, I was disappointed he didn't score, but I forgive that, and it took skill to create the chance. 4 time however he has shown selfishness, over the team. That for me is the problem. He's playing for himself, not the club. The price does come into his finishing, but I wouldn't be quite so harsh if it was just that.

    when you're the highest earner at the club like Sterling is & the 2nd most experienced player in a squad full of youngsters. Instead of showing them the way through his performances, he is doing the exact opposite by being the most selfish player, who doesn't produce enough good performances for someone of his supposed stature. It's best he moves on to Saudi League in the summer and save us his wages

    • @Anonymous-kq8oh
      @Anonymous-kq8oh หลายเดือนก่อน

      He’s not going to Saudi, and why would he? He’s on a lovely 5 year contract (3 years remaining) on 325K a week, he’s back at his home (Wembley) with his childhood friends and all his family? He’s 29 and I’m pretty sure he doesn’t need the money….he came back to london to retire. Again this on the board. Can’t really blame Sterling for that. He’s obviously got a very good football agent that waffled to the board and now he’s laughing all the way to the bank.

    If it wasn't for the fact that he was blessed with that elite level 'low-centre-of-gravity' speed over 10 yards, he would be playing in the Pub leagues. Never seen a footballer playing in the Premier League and for the England Team with such a low level of footballing intelligence and consistent atrocious finishing.

    Why do we boo Sterling is a selfish player the only skill he really has is his speed. No better than Sean Wright Phillips.often to many touches and runs into trouble to often.
    Poch as with every manager since Thomas Tutchel is a yes man.
    He won nothing at spurs because he's a bottle job .he won't win anything at Chelsea because he doesn't have the winning mentality.He is only a front man for this management. As he was at spurs under Levy.

    The second he demanded that penalty that we all knew he'd miss, i think it was the moment he annoyed everyone. Even the way Cole gave him the ball showed that it wasnt his choice to give it to Sterling.
    So he wants the hall when its pens which Cole is on. Then when its freekicks in his range he ALSO wants the ball.
    he also somehow managed to fluff a 1v1 where he couldve easily squared the ball to cole who was on his right hand side if he knew he cant score it. Oh and its the 4th time he couldve squared a ball but chose not to. And in all occurances he missed.
    A lot of people say Chelsea didnt buy experience, but he is the experience we have.and he performes no different to the inexperienced players if not worse.
    He only ever shows up against Man Ciry like he has some point to prove to Pep.
    Many players have bad games in a Chelsea shirt. But the effort and selflessness doesnt go unrecognised. But Sterling is so selfish he doesnt even knoe when to release the ball. He like to be a ball carrier. And ive lost the amount of times he's lost the ball in this process of tryna sprint through traffic

    At city he missed loads as well but got 6 chances every game.

    Talksport is the epitome of short termism...the reason Jordan stands out is he sticks to his guns (sometimes too much). It was not long ago the pundits here were hollering for him to be picked for England when he had a good patch early season. Sterling has been on a downward spiral for a few seasons he will have patches, but he is not the player of a 3 years ago - its why Man City got rid and eventually you can see Chelsea moving him onto a West Ham or similar mid table club. Gone are the days he was a handful, was he world class ? that's a misnomer, he was a decent champions league player and did a job for his country

    Sterling is on 350k a week. He’s an established professional who the fans are entitled to expect a certain level of from. He fails to pass to players who could have tap ins in favour of trying to score himself, he misses clear cut chances every game and he’s selfish enough to take the ball from our best penalty taker because he’s deluded about his own levels. Genuine mistakes are ok at times but when they happen every week you have to start questioning the player’s professionalism and work rate at making sure his levels stay high in training and matches

But talking about situation in Chelsea players are the one to be blamed especially front players, for being selfish, missing clear chances, you could find that when they fail to score the opponents never miss, secondly we keep on blaming porchettino .if we talk reality if Chelsea players scored 50percent of the chances they could be in number 5 to 4.

    Sterling has made the most of what he has football wise and is being found out. Pep sold him as he gets in a load of good positions, but misses a lot (costing them probably a CL with one of his most high profile balls ups). More power to him though as hes so quick and when his heads right he has a finish in there, but hes always been massivly overrated.
