Defending yourself from a child soldier is a different story sure, but to condemn them to death for being what they're forced to be just showed how messed up the world is.
You will be that one guy in war who gives a child a candy bar after killing his friends and parents then end up getting stabbed in your sleep by that same kid.

Actually story wise it is the best one But overall this is one of the best. Cuz you know we have better fight animation than this in earlier seasons but this could have been the best episode if animation was as smooth and intense as story

first of all we should not forget the main reason marley began the attack , to get oil resources, they wanted to wipe out entire pardis just for that so erens rage is reasonable, it may not be right but if they didn't attack this time, they would have easily been crushed by 6 titans vs 2 plus anti titan warfare and defeated, everything can be concluded that this was the only choice eren had. Which is explained beautifully later in manga.
Idk how mappa gonna expand that scene cuz we are gonna get a scene of our crew( spoilers ahead) Getting into marley in ch 123 and we don't Know why jean was there at ep 1. Anime might expand on it more after they adapt ch 123
Eren never likes his friends(especially Mikasa) gain titan power because it'd reduce their life for only 13 years after gaining titan power. In Armin case, there was no choice because he already was on the edge of death.
Some little details on the TV vs the Blu ray version for this episode that i found interesting: The color of the thunder spears fire is changed from orange to blue. Also one of the big complains when this episode aired was that Mikasa even compared to the rest of the episode looked completely different in that one close up shot of her tearing up so they fixed that in the blu ray and it looks much more consistent.

Gabi lost two friends, not her family,read the manga her family is still alive in the end and I don't give a damn what spoiler this is, she lost a couple friends and said they were my biological family, but her real family was praying for her survival while telling her lies.
So you expect people to sympathize with a character(Gabi) they saw for 3 episodes at the same level as a character(Eren) they saw for three seasons and experienced countless tragedies with, I know in the grand scheme of things nobody is right or wrong, but I am definitely more empathetic towards the tiny island and its inhabitants who are prosecuted by not one or two nations, but the entire world.
Yup, exactly. Tybur declared war on Paradis prior to any attack on Marley. If you think about it, the only casualties they had on the Marley side the past 10 or so years was Bertholdt and Marcel (up until now of course). Meanwhile a quarter of a million Eldians on Paradis died for a war they didn't even know existed. Yet the Marley government still wants to declare war while the citizens cheered them on while they did it. All for the sake of getting the Founding Titan. While the innocent casualties are unfortunate, it would have been avoided if Marley didn't strike Paradis first.
We can play the blame game all day long but this conflict has been going on for so long it's basically pointless to do so. Both sides are officially in the wrong now, Floch literally went out of his way to kill civilians instilling that deep rooted hatred even deeper for anyone who survives. Eren and Reiner are both mass murderers unable to be forgiven of their sins

As he said to Rainer "I am the same as you", who also broke through the wall and committed mass murder. He became the one he hated the most, as Mikassa said with tears in her eyes for him "there is no way back." In fact, this is a very sad scene, Eren's act only intensified the spiral of mutual hatred and oppression.

This is one of the best AOT episodes ever. It's only competitors are s2e7, s3e17&18 and then s4e7. It's a real toss-up for my favorite episode.

first of all we should not forget the main reason marley began the attack , to get oil resources, they wanted to wipe out entire pardis just for that so erens rage is reasonable, it may not be right but if they didn't attack this time, they would have easily been crushed by 6 titans vs 2 plus anti titan warfare and defeated, everything can be concluded that this was the only choice eren had. Which is explained beautifully later in manga.

Some little details on the TV vs the Blu ray version for this episode that i found interesting: The color of the thunder spears fire is changed from orange to blue. Also one of the big complains when this episode aired was that Mikasa even compared to the rest of the episode looked completely different in that one close up shot of her tearing up so they fixed that in the blu ray and it looks much more consistent.

Gabi lost two friends, not her family,read the manga her family is still alive in the end and I don't give a damn what spoiler this is, she lost a couple friends and said they were my biological family, but her real family was praying for her survival while telling her lies.
So you expect people to sympathize with a character(Gabi) they saw for 3 episodes at the same level as a character(Eren) they saw for three seasons and experienced countless tragedies with, I know in the grand scheme of things nobody is right or wrong, but I am definitely more empathetic towards the tiny island and its inhabitants who are prosecuted by not one or two nations, but the entire world.

Yup, exactly. Tybur declared war on Paradis prior to any attack on Marley. If you think about it, the only casualties they had on the Marley side the past 10 or so years was Bertholdt and Marcel (up until now of course). Meanwhile a quarter of a million Eldians on Paradis died for a war they didn't even know existed. Yet the Marley government still wants to declare war while the citizens cheered them on while they did it. All for the sake of getting the Founding Titan.
While the innocent casualties are unfortunate, it would have been avoided if Marley didn't strike Paradis first.
We can play the blame game all day long but this conflict has been going on for so long it's basically pointless to do so. Both sides are officially in the wrong now, Floch literally went out of his way to kill civilians instilling that deep rooted hatred even deeper for anyone who survives. Eren and Reiner are both mass murderers unable to be forgiven of their sins
@@pieck5460 People love to say that both sides are valid but the fatal flaw for me is Marley side loses ALL moral or valid ground when they are aware that the people they are murdering have 0 memory of why they are being murdered. Also if Titan power is so devlish that an entire race "deserves" to be oppresed for it then you shouldn't be using it to fight other countries. Marley doesn't even believe their own lies. I ride or die with paradis.

Eren has done terrible things. He killed civilians - men, women, children, even for the sake of a "higher goal". As he said to Rainer "I am the same as you", who also broke through the wall and committed mass murder. He became the one he hated the most, as Mikassa said with tears in her eyes for him "there is no way back." In fact, this is a very sad scene, Eren's act only intensified the spiral of mutual hatred and oppression.
Eren did nothing wrong, marley attacked first, they had it coming, the only mistake that he only partially destroyed the city, they all should be dead let's be honest
They forget mikasa is half asian half ackermann. So she couldnt become a titan bc she doesnt have eldian blood (unless her dad is part eldian which i doubt) but her being a titan would be so cool. Atleast levi could in theory become one if his biological father is eldian
